Being a $20 effects pedal, I think this pedal gives you the biggest bang for the buck. My tone wasn't colored at all, even at high volumes. However, there is SLIGHT noise coming from this pedal, not alot, but some. ALSO: noise can bleed through to the secondary amplifier. When maxing a 120 watt solid state amp, I heard a substantial amount of bleed through. compared to the OUTPUT volume of the amp however, this should not be a problem, because no one would even notice this bleed through if their ears are adjusted to a maxed out amp!!! this bleed through on MAXED AMP....id say would sound like a low set 10 watt practice amp with the tone sucked out of it.
for me, this is not an issue, because both the little noise and bleedthrough on this pedal can be solved with my noise gate set almost at zero.
For me, as long as my tone is there....this pedal is sufficient.

Behringer's clone of Boss's A/B switcher. Will do 2 inputs > 1 output or vice versa. 1 toggle switch for mode, and a level control for each channel. There's also a LED for each channel. One's green and one's red,so it'd be easy to tell the channels apart on a dark stage. The case is hard plastic, like all their stomp boxes. The battery access sucks, it pops off easily with a jack end or a pen, but it's tough to get all the pins and springs lined back up during re-assembly. It has a 9V jack, but it's on the side of the pedal, which could be annoying if you're daisy-chaining with a 1-spot or similar.

Seems quiet, no hissing or humming. No effect on sound quality that I can hear. The level controls don't boost the signal any, and if the pot is turned all the way left thare's no sound at all. Most of the attenuation seems to be in the first half of the control's rotation, though. From 12 o'clock to max, there's not much difference in the signal level.

Well, it's plastic, and won't take being stomped on. The switch is actually a very small surface-mount dealie, and I bet a couple of enthusiastic boot-stompings would make short work of both the switch and the PCB it's attached to. For me, to switch between amps at the rehearsal hall, it'll be fine. Not good for heavy-duty gig use.

If it cacks during the warranty period, my dealer will replace it. After that, if it dies it's toast. Not even heavy enough to be a good doorstop.

Works for what I need it for. It's quieter than the old DOD manual A/B I've been using, which pops and hums. If I needed a gig-worthy one of these, I'd get a Loooper or a Boss.
