Very easy to use, 1 input switchable to 2 outputs or vice versa on each switch, so can be used to switch between 2 guitars and 2 amps simultaniously. Battery placement was a no brainer, but I wired up a lead with a dc plug on it and power it of a 6x9v dc adapter along with the rest of my pedals

Doesn't colour the sound at all, just a pair of low noise relays to switch the signal.

It is made of metal, but the switches are plastic. It would proberbly survive being stood on but I wouldn't try. Never had any problems at all.

Never dealt with them. I like the website though, as you can easily find any product and download manual etc.

Great little pedal, does what it says on the tin, and after putting a little wire in, which took like 30 seconds more than the soldering iron took to warm up it is as good as any one of these pedals.

Pretty basic -- dual A/B relay. I use it in latched mode for bypass, so it would be a nice option to have some way to link the two pedals together. I use my foot across both when I switch, but once in a while while madly stomping pedals I don't hit both evenly and only one switches -- not good. I'd give it a 10 if it had a way to couple the two switches into one pedal, or a way to mechanically link the two. I'm going to glue a bar across both. I also wish it had a power jack so I didn't have to use a bettery.

Excellent! No detectable coloration. I have it right at the input to the pedalboard, and use it as a true bypass switch (SPDT switch at each end) between a direct bypass path and a path with tone destroying (when switched off) pedals like wah, phaser, etc... I love it!

I'd give it a 9.8, but I'm an engineer and like to deal with round numbers, so 10 it is. For the price, it can't be beat. I plan to pick up another one or two for other uses.

I really think most would find it easy to use, but i always have had to diagram things out and experiment to get things to work. This switch has options my Rapco did not. Like I said, I had to experiment a little to get my applications to work, but the thing works fine.

Does not change the sound at all. Perhaps a low or dead battery might cause a problem, but that's a "user" issue, not the pedal.

I expect it will last fine. My other Behringer equipment has held up very well.

Since I got this little guy to simply switch between two guitars and one amp, I have used it for other, slightly more complicated tasks. Because I have trouble remembering hookups, I always make a block diagram of how any of my pedals fit in to my current setup.
I have had other A/B switches in the past and I don't see any reason why this one shouldn't rate right up there with the best of them.
Another special feature of this unit is that several can be combined into one unit using the interlocking fins on the sides. That really shows how the folks at Behringer think through a design, which I think is very unusual within the industry.

Basic use is fine, but as noted in other reviews, changing the battery is ridiculous.

Lasted a few months, and then things started to go horribly wrong. Both red LEDs have ceased working, and it is noisy.

It should be easy to use - two footswitches and two latch/non-latch switches.
Except...try to change a battery, undoing the tiny black screws and the wacky aluminum case.
Better yet, try changing the battery on a dark stage.
Had the designer of this thing ever seen a stage?

The battery expires when the unit is in storage - with no cables attached. Therefore the unit is useless.
Reliability
:

Absolutely rubbish - the design is swful, the functionality useless - batteries expire when not in use. Eventually the unit failed completely. The battery changing method, whereby you take a risk not to crack the PCB is just hopeless.
Absolutely cannot be depended on to do what it is sold to do, and a dangerous piece of kit to have on a stage.

Returned for a credit to the vendor who sold it. The chances of me purchasing another item of Behinger kit is pretty unlikely.
Overall Rating

Useless, hopeless - the design would be funny if the thing wasn't for such an essential use.
A perfect example of why firms should be compelled to have their designers put their names on products - someone was responsible for this .

It's easy to use and easy to figure out. Hard to put the battery in though. You have to take the whole thing apart.

It does not affect the sound, as far as I can tell, at all.

It worked for a couple months and then just died. It is a rickety piece of junk. When it first arrived one of the LEDs was out from the get-go.

If a product doesn't work because it falls apart, it's not worth buying at any price. I replaced this with two Boss switches. Better solution, heavy duty, built to last. Again, a footswitch that you are STOMPING on should be built like a tank. These aren't. They are disposable, like it seems all Behringer products are.

I bought it as a footswitch for my amp. It works for switching the channels, but not for switching the fx on/off. I'm gonna return it and buy the official footswitch and spend a few bucks more for something that acually works. I found out that this pedal also requires a 9v battery, which is not really needed for a amp footswitch. There is no 9v iput either.

I don't have much experience with it, but this is how it looks and feels: The housing is made of metal, the switches are made of plastic. It feels and looks cheap. The footswitches don't feel durable at all. If you stomp hard on the switches (which probably happens occasionaly when you are gigging in your enthousiasm), i'm sure it won't last long. This is another reason i'm returning it, it's nice for the basic stuff cause it works. But won't call it 'road-worthy'.

How easy is it to get a good sound out of it? Easy, it does nothing to hamper sound, nor does it produce any hum, buzz, or noise.
How is the manual for it (if there is one)? The manual is basically a roadmap for lines in and out and options for use, it's just a switch, how hard is that to figure out?
Sound Quality

How is the manual for it (if there is one)? I use it to switch between my acoustic guitar and my electric, for that it's perfect.
Is it noisy? On what settings? I've tried it with two amps on output (you can switch two guitars in and two amps out or any combination thereof), and there's no crossover noise like with the AB100.
Are the effects weak or do they always sound great? There are no effects, it's merely an A/B Swtich, perfect for that.

I do depend on it and use it without a backup, but then I'll probably buy a backup, it's only $20 and that is one hell of a deal IMHO.

What style of music do you play? Is this a good match? From blues to jazz to some old classics, it's perfect for quick guitar changes.
If it were stolen or lost, would you buy it again or get something else? I would buy another one as soon as I could.
What do you love about it? What do you hate? What is your favorite feature? I love it's ease of use, that I can look down and see which circuit is in use judging by the red or green led's. It's got an aluminum casing and it's tough. The only thing I don't like about it is the difficulty of changing the battery, I belive it is a poor design. You must remove the top cover including the twin "pedals" to change the battery, then it can be difficult putting the cover back without damaging anything. All in all I rate it a ten and I'll deal with the battery problem by using a pedal board with a daisy chain of 9V plugs.
