As these are the passive version i decided to use Behringers A500 Amp.
These passives use the same drivers as the powered version.
1" dome tweeter and 8" 3/4 woofer. 2khz Crossover
The freq response is claimed as 55-21. As i have not measured this can't argue. I use these speakers as my 2nd reference set during mixdown/mastering, and they really surprise me how clean they sound, with metal tweeters you expect that harshness, not so much with these, and totally exceptable esp considering the price. The bass is not lacking even at low levels

They weigh 11.5kg/23lbs
MDF is thick
Connections solid
Not looked inside(really wanna)
I've hauled these round and used them as PA in friends houses, not wot they're mean't for but they took it. During said outings they were run at full db for hours with all manner of blips squeaks feedback mic drops and general misuse of frequencies and when i've settled them back in my studio expecting an effed tweeter etc.
Rock solid so far. I will be the 1st to let you know otherwise.
Extended warranty is a bonus

I listen and play an eclectic mix nuff said
I play lots of different instruments, and have been for over 20yrs.
I would replace these speakers, but as a comprimise between quality and ###'s then you won't find many better in my opinion or the opinions of listeners to my mixes.
They should offer a bi-wire version in the passive range.
they shouldn't of used so much plastic
protective front covers..i don't dust everyday yer know!
