It's a very good pedal, i've changed the sound of a metal zone and i trasformed it in a very aggressive machine, i worked on the sound for some days but the result is great.
It's noisy when you are not playing. just turn it off!!

Already detailed quite thoroughly in earlier reviews. 7-band bass equalizer, really simple to use. Replacing the battery is not made easy with this one, compared to Boss pedals.

Some people said that pedal is really noisy and produces a lot of hissy sounds. Well it didn't do that with me. My cheap amp (Warwick Profet 3.2) doesn't have a graphic eq and now I can utilize my favourite "smile " eq. With a distortion pedal (SD-1, Big Muff, etc.) it sounds quite huge now in my opinion.

This is plastic and doesn't seem sturdy. Only for practising, I guess.

This pedal is very good value. The sliders are not the best you can get but if you don't adjust on it a million times a day that doesn't matter.
The manual is short and simple and only come in english with the pedal. Anyway Behringer include a link to their website where you can find manuals in many languages.

I am using this with a Samick Stratocaster bass and a Behringer Ultrabass 450 Watt, and i am happy using it. It is noiseless but may overdrive a bit when the sliders are turned full.
I use this together with a Behringer BCH100 chorus pedal too and combined they make a great sound for rock bass-solos.
The equalizer works as it should... No complains

Well... the case is made of plastic but it seems quite solid. Of course my Boss CT2 tuner pedal is much more solid but this pedal seems good too. As long as you dont walk on it, i guess it will last.

Never needed. But i've heard it's good, and you may even get to talk to Uli Behringer himself. I know one who tried... :D

It is good for solos, when you need a light and soft sound or when making that deep pumping ground-bass on heavy metal songs.
Compared to a Boss EQ pedal it's not really diffirent.
Extremely good at the price. I would'nt mind buying another one to make another sound so i can have two settings at a gig.

very simple to set up, in the in and out the out but the battery compartment is slightly scurvy on mine as it needs something thinner and longer than the standard 1/4 jack to get it open
one annoying thing i've found with the knobs is that they don't 'click' into place at the 0 level unlike other EQ's, i didn't mind as the units
so cheap but it does make going to a flat setting slightly annoying, oh and the knobs are pretty difficult to get to sometimes when your in a hurry
Not necessarily too small just badly designed i think

Okay i was using a Yamaha RBX 374 bass with a Laney HCM65B and also a Peavey max 158 amp, both are fine with no problems at all
the pedal works okay with the Laney, with the pedal only overdriving when pushed, but still takes away a bit of tone, its not exactly 'transparent' for you sound, yet for the price that wasn't likely to be
also some of the frequencies seem to have more effect than others especially the 400hz knob, take this away and the sound is empty, while keeping only this leaves a ballsy sound but with no clarity, yet the others can be changed without drastic change
it fares much worse with the Peavey as this amp has a tube emulation circuit which disagress with the pedal at anything above fret 12 and below fret 3 , disagree meaning horrible distortion that would send kids diving for cover rather than rocking out

i really wouldn't trust this pedal live...if i had the choice of another
i know shit does happen and i'm not expecting this pedal to last for long as its made of plastic (not always bad but in this case) and the hinge seems...untrustworthy, all in all i think a few hard stomps will put this out of action, ironic considering its a stompbox
all in all ill be treating this one delicately for the time being, until of course i get that huge Equipment sponsorship deal where i have gazillions of these things

i'd been playing 3/4 of a year but i'm not a complete idiot even if i do say so myself, i'm a tech-head looking to get into sound engineering later on so at the moment i'm sticking to the muscianship as a way in
this product sorts out niggels and can get you sounding 'bigger' if you play around with it
my main use for it is to boost my sound at solo's and such, i wouldn't trust it for more than that as i feel any real sculpting of my sound would not get good results with this pedal

Equalization pedal that is suited to a bass guitar's (or keyboard) main frequencies. You can boost or cut by 15dB, with the frequencies being 50HZ, 120HZ, 400HZ, 500HZ, 800HZ, 4.5KHZ and 10 Khz.
As you may know the pedal is very much designed with the boss equivelant in mind, so the usual inputs, LED and DC in and in place. However the casing and sliders are plastic, and the input socket is in a silly place, as I use linked leads for power this pedal needs to be turned to its side.
There are 7 sliders for the EQ and 1 for the level, very simple use, but the sliders are somewhat wobbly and they might be hard to adust in a hurry (quite a compact interface), and the PCB they are mounted on is visible. Hopefully an accidental strong impact wont break them.

I use a Yamaha RBX370A with a Laney HCM15B. The BEQ700 is versatile.
I used mine to scoop my bass sound, the amp alone has a certain low mid hump that I dont like, and the bass has a slight top end (active eq) when everything is flat. I set it to scoop mids and some treble, and boost the two lowest ones, it sounds like a larger amp!
This setting might suit slap too, with a treble boost.
A wooly reggae and motown style bass sounds can be found too by boosting the mid and reducing the treble and lowest bass. I have used my Boss SD-1 with this and it can produce a nice growly overdrive without that top end.
At the extreme boosts, it will distort which is normal. Overall I am impressed with this at this price.

Well, the plastic casing may be fine for home use, or even gigging if you plan to leave it on with one setting near the amp for instance. However, if one were to continually stomp on it, I have doubts over the pedal's durability. That said, it still has a solid baseplate of rubber, and the battery housing is quite secure. The input socket is in a silly place, and the not so firm sliders are.....not so firm.
Another problem with my one is that the jack input on my pedal cut out sometimes, this could be a real annoyance, and is the main reason I am marking this down. This may just be my model though.

I bought this new and was pleased with the value for money. It does what it says, and provides my bass sound with more control than the amp alone, and indeed more volume with the boost function. It can change the amps sound to better effect if the amp is not great, and certainly gets rid of sonic defects.
I recommend it especially for the home user, although with this could be used in gigging if left out of the way. The slight few problems with the construction/design are forgivable for the price and the lawsuit they had against them. Well, if it were destroyed Id get another one sicne they are cheap.
