Ease of Use : 5
Easy to use, just read the manual.

Sound Quality : 1
Very poor at tracking notes, especially the low ones.

Reliability : 1
I would never gig with this, it shuts down without warning every 15 minutes or so. If you tap on it, it comes back on.

Customer Support : 1
Worst customer service ever.

No 1-800 number, you get to pay long distance to talk to them. Slow to respond and they want me to pay for shipping to exchange this brand new piece of junk.

Overall Rating : 1
Waste of 50 bucks, don't buy this - get a Korg. Thier customer service is terrible. If it were stolen, I'd feel sorry for the poor chump who uses it next. Watch for me to post a video smashing this thing with a baseball bat soon.

I've been using this box for about a month and it certainly seems like it was a great deal, the cheapest rack tuner around. If the "needle" seems to be moving around too much you may need to adjust your tuning technique. The setup of your guitar is probably the biggest factor. This tuner is more sensitive than the little box with a needle that most people are used to. The flaws in your setup become more pronounced as you see notes drift in and out of tune. Its not the tuner that is the problem, it is the guitar. It took me a few days to figure this out, and after I made some adjustments chords now sound noticeably better up the entire neck.

If you don't believe me and you still think this tuner is crap try running a keyboard through it set to a bass guitar sound or a sine wave and check how quickly it can identify the notes from the keyboard. Now try bending the pitch wheel and watch how quickly the tuner responds. You can get this tuner to respond to a guitar the same way by stripping the harmonics from your guitar signal like this: select the bridge PU, turn down the tone knob, and pluck directly over the 12th fret.

Sound Quality : 5
I do not run my guitar through this tuner to my amp, and if you are the kind of geek who says things like "tone suck" you shouldn't be doing that either. I did try it out just to see how well it worked and it was nice and quiet until I turned the lights on, then I got a buzz. My rig is usually nice and quiet and as far as I know everything is grounded properly. With the light off it seemed as quiet as any other comparably priced tuner. I use a patchbay to split my signal off to the tuner and it works great. Or you could also use an A/B switch, or if can't resist running through this tuner you could just turn the light off.

Reliability : No Opinion
The face is plastic so I wouldn't call it "heavy duty" but as long as you don't toss your rack around like a jack-ass it shouldn't be any more likely to break than any of your other chinese-built schwag.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Who needs 'em? I know how to solder. This thing is so cheap it wouldn't even be worth it to ship it back for repair, just open the bitch up and find the loose connection and if you can't fix it or its fried beyond repair then toss it in the dump and save the money you were gonna waste on 1 bag of pot and buy a new one.

Overall Rating : 10
Because of its sensitivity this tuner has also made me more aware of the subtle differences that you can make in a recording by tuning the guitar in different ways depending on how it will be used for the song or part, e.g. tuning for the initial attack (chugga-chugga) vs. making sustained chords ring nicely. This knowledge alone has been worth the purchase price, because I would never have caught on to this with my old tuner.

Highly recommended if you want a nice pro-looking and functioning rack tuner but can't imagine paying $250+. Behringer is good at making expensive gear look stupid. If you don't put this in your signal chain then the light looks cool and is a nice bonus, otherwise you may have to keep it turned off because mine makes noise.

Easy to use even though it has tons of features.

The manual is clearly written if you want to access all the features.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
It doesn't affect my sound in the least.

Reliability : 10
I've had it for over a year and use it in my live set up. No problems.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never needed it.

Overall Rating : 9
It does what I bought it to do at a price less than 1/4 of the closest rack tuner.

Not that difficult and the manual is fairly clear. Has a lot of extra features I don't need (metronome, light, etc.), the only thing it does really bad is tuning (see below).
Controls may be more straightforward: I don't like having to hold a button to get a different function.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
I didn't use it in series in the audio path so I can't say whether it degrades the sound or not.

Reliability : 2
You can't depend on it, because It's a crappy tuner. I would never use it on a gig since it's useless.
The lower the pitch the (much) longer it takes to identify it. It takes ages for the low E, it simply doesn't work for my seven string low B: too low for it.
I can't figure out how a bass player could ever be able to use it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 1
I play progressive rock, I've been playing for more than 10 years, I have and have had a lot of gear and this is the worst tuner I've ever had.
I've got rid of it less than two months after buying it.
If it were stolen or lost I would thank God, but fortunately I sold it before (actually nobody would be so idiot to steal such a piece of junk).
I gave it up on rack tuners and now I'm using a Korg DT-10 pedal, which I recommend. If you really need a rack tuner, buy a Korg, it's worth the extra bucks.

I read the manual in detail right off the bat before even plugging it in. Once installed in my rack (first piece in the signal chain)I found that the manual did more to confuse issues than help. Once you understand that each button controls two features, just start pushing and things become clear quickly.

Sound Quality : 9
No noise or gain loss was noticed. The metronome feature was very cool and easy to use. You can control the volume of the click pumping through your rig (very handy at rehearsal when the drummer can't make it).

Reliability : No Opinion
Didn't keep this unit long enough fail.

I dealt with the dealer when I returned it. They treated me great and are helping decide on another brand of tuner. I never contacted the company and therefor have "no opinion" within the context of this rating.

I've been playing professionally (full and part time) over the last 25 years. My present gear includes: Fender Roscoe Beck Signature 5 string, Tech 21 Sans Amp RBI preamp, Ampeg SVP Pro preamp (presently down for repairs ;) Yorkville Sound AP4040 power amp. I've been using a Boss TU8 for many years and it was the only tuner I could find at the time that could actually tune an open B string. The BTR2000 can't track a low B...and has trouble even on the E string, very slow. The higher registers tune well but I think it should still be quicker. Despite the cool extra features, If it can't tune its going back to the store where it came from (something to think about for you online shoppers). I've been researching other rackmount tuners and the only other one that makes specific reference to the low B issue is Fenders RT1000. Not that looks are important, but Fender has a new faceplate design on the current model (the old one looked pretty silly). Also check out Bass Player Magazine Jan/08-New Gear feature: SWR's RU-N2N. Look close and notice its identical (except in color) to the Fender. No Surprise here as Fender now owns SWR. So if this tuner is good enough to wear the SWR logo...I'm pretty sure it will do the job well. My new RT1000 is getting ordered this week.

Its easy as like the majority of the rack mounting gear.

The manual is sufficiently good , some logics are not easy to remember.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
For me the sound quality is good , but I linked it in a special configuration allowed by my amplifier. I plugget it on my balanced output port. So it doesnt effect the main signal path at all

Reliability : 3
Huumm... I dont depend on it because this machine is not so fullfilling.

Two things are annoying :

The main defect is that the unit is not very GOOD in quickly "guess" the tune , exspecially on the bass tones (good on the treble)

Also its like the internal sampling happens avery 1 second , it doesnt shows "continuosly" the tuning ...and this is very "ugly".

As other reviews said .... the frontal part lean-out from the rack profile , reducing the visibility of the other units below.
That vertical light its not useful att all the majority of time.

Finally, the unit starts to work only some seconds after its "boot-up" (its turning ON) and its annoying too.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I had no occasions to deal with the company

Overall Rating : 3
I play prog-music for 25 years and I own lots of audio-gear (a small project studio in my home)

If it will be stolen I'll buy a Korg tuner for my rack

I expected more from this unit , with many possibilities but with fairy main feature. I bought a tuner that do many other thing but that doesnt act well right as tuner!!

Operating is not too hard and the manual is ok.

Sound Quality : 1
The reason why I??m using a tuner is to NOT disturb others so I have no
opinions about the sound. With the guitar plugged in directly it tracks very bad. So I made a "tuning-patch" with full volume and compression in my Rocktron preamp and connected the btr-2000 to the unbalanced output. So before tuning the balanced output must be muted........

Reliability : No Opinion
I would never go to a gig with just one guitar and that goes for tuners as well.

Customer Support : No Opinion
There has been no need to complain so far....

Overall Rating : 1
I??ve been a professional musician for 25 years and used several of Behringers priceworthy products. No complains until now. Bought the unit since my Boss-TU 12H finally collapsed after 20 years!! You get what you pay for so I didn??t expect too much from the BTR-2000.
But hey come on!! The design!?? With that stupid curved front the only place were it fits in a normal guitar-rack is in the bottom. And who places a tuner there? And on the top there is no use of the light unless moving the other units backwards with the result they will be covered and hard to reach..... Not really userfriendly.... Not to mention what it looks like. Using it as a racklight for a mixer there will be at least 10 height-units empty space to not be in the way....
Conclusion: I would call this a bad racklight with an additional tuner. As soon as possible I??ll get me a new boss-tu12 or checout some other real rack-tuners. And the BTR-2000 will be history.....

This seemed to work ok with electric guitar - if a little slow. The problem is that I'm a bass player. The reaction of the tuner was slow and jumpy on all strings with my 3 basses - including active EMG-fitted fender, Musicman Stingray and standard passive FenderJazz. Worst problem was that it did not tune the bottom E on any of them - at times, the E string produced no effect at all.

Customer Support : No Opinion
REturned it to the shop.

Overall Rating : 2
Worked 40 years on bass, including professionally. Unreliable gear is no use to me. The most useful thing was the lights which help with amp adjustments on a dark stage. Unfortunately, with its array of brightlights,it looks like a kid's toy. I've done what I should have done before - I've paid the extra for a Korg.

Fairly straightforward for basic tuning. The extra functions is has are decent, such as the lower mounted led's for lighting a rack, and the metronome. Unfortunately, it tracks badly. Very badly.

Ordered one of these. It arrived, hooked it up. Got a horrid high pitched whine from it, which also presented itself on my friends amp that I tested it on to be sure.
Returned it and got another to replace it. Did the exact same thing.
The guy at the place where I got it was apologetic and mentioned that really, it's budget equipment and he had wondered if it 'was' even faulty when I returned the first one.

Got a refund on it, and have ordered a Korg rack tuner, which I should've done originally. (And I reccomend anyone reading this does too).

For the brief time I tested both units, the tracking was piss poor on the low E on both my guitars (As much as a 4 sec delay before it registered), and one of the guitars has high-output pickups.
It tracked all the other strings quickly but the light was all over the place like a drunk driver.

Customer Support : 10
Never dealt with Behringer, but I did deal with gak.co.uk whom I bought it from, and they are legends. Guy on support (Johnny I believe) has done everything to accomodate me.
I've given them a fair bit of business over the last 2 or 3 weeks because of their great customer service.(So the 10 rating is for them, not Behringer)

I'd rather use a tuning fork than this cheap turd. In fact, I'd rather stab myself with a tuning fork.

Bought it two weeks ago and I works great. Needed a little time to understand all functions, but the manual is OK, so no big deal.

Sound Quality : 10
Well a tuner doesn't sound and it does not deteriorate the sound at all. I could hear a relay inside so I assume it's a hard bypass which is perfect.

Reliability : 10
Had no problems so far and also never a problem with my 10 pieces of Behringer equipment.

Customer Support : 10
Whenever I had a question, they responded cordially and competently. Really nice guys.

Overall Rating : 10
Perfect for what it does and 1/5th of a Korg tuner which is truly a fantastic value. No regrets at all.
