Ease of Use

Just a bit cumbersome as there's a lot of dual function buttonry to get lost in. The banks/programs are easy enough to zone in on, but still it takes a bit to get the swing. (as with any first exposure to a new modeler.)Compared to my Line6 POD XT PRO, it's about the same. Ya just have to get used to things in plateaus. If you're used to these devices, you can learn the navigation with little difficulty. If it's a first experience, be patient and you'll connect the various dots to custom design your own programs/tones in no time!
I'm sure Uli saves on materials w/dual function switching/encoding.
Manual is good enuff to get by on.
Sound Quality

No Opinion
Very interesting contrast between the L6 & BVA-Pro As the Vamp has some guitar amp models, I tried a couple. They sound MUCH more like an amp than my POD Pro @ 1/3rd the price. (efx ain't quite as extensive, but the tones were far better on the V Amp much to my surprise. (I'm a Guitar guy, NOT Bass really as much) So I well appreciate the Guitar sounds done as well as they are.
Going through and adjusting factory presets, I found some extremely nice tones on Bass as well. (Very round/wholesome tones)
Some of the EFX are kind of cheesy, but if you look past that, you can get some very nice flavors. The sound is way different than the Bass POD Pro XT, but in a nice way. But they are different animals so they ea. have their own flavor, but I thought the Behringer holds up tone-wise VERY respectably next to their 3X$ competitors!

I'm quite sure one fall would end this unit's life. My backup would be a real Bass Amp (SVT/GK)
Behringer is all SMT technology. Those cards DO NOT like SHOCK & Vibration. I would not set this on top of a bass spkr. cab in action.
These are fairly fragile (as are the rest)
I prefer bullit proof construction, but hey, it's not my design!

I own many of their products, and they ALWAYS responded to my needs through one avenue or another. Good value company.

You can make this work for just about any recording task aside from say a Jazz standup bass requirement. But for most recording gigs, one can certainly make a good go of this box's output. The Dual output as opposed to L6's (1)out is cool too. More options for bi-amping or cross-over needs. In the studio you'd likely use better comps and EFX anyways, so they are moot componentry at that point.
As a straight ahead modeler, they give the L6 guys a very good run for much less money. Still they both have their own flavors. Isn't it good we don't all have the same taste?
