At the beginning it looks hard, but once we get a little familiarized with the unit (5 min) it gets really easy!

Extremely easy to use and control manually or with Midi.
"sensible" standard settings and some useful presets make life easier as well. Editing patches is simple and edits can be stored in memory
(100 user patches)

I use this with a Spirit desk on a variety of (mainly analog) synths and drum machines. Noise levels are very low, except on the F/X that are by nature always a bit noisy (ie Flanger etc). Reverbs are not particularily strong, as on most multi-fx boxes and i do not like the Chorus at all.

ambient/house/trance/pop. i think it's a good all-round appliance for most styles. Years and years of playing and collecting stuff begins to take shape in a small home studio to which the DSP1000P is a very welcome high-quality addition at an incredibly low price. It's much better than the Zoom 1202 i also own and compares very well to the Lexicon MPX500 i also comsidered (at twice the price...)
