Easy to set up. You will need to read the manual to set the dip switches properly at first but is simple to use. There are no 1/4" speaker outputs, only speakon conectors. Mine is a year old and dont know if it has been upgraded.

I am using this amp to power an ampeg svp preamp for bass. It is a good amp with decent tone.

If you are planning on running a 2 ohm load on each side or bridging it into a 4 ohm load look for another power amp. Contrary to what the manual says it WILL NOT handle a 4 ohm load bridged without overheating and shutting down on you in the middle of a gig. I found this very annoying and now have to use 2 speaker bottoms with it running stereo to match the 4 ohm a side impedance. It is false advertising for Behringer to say this amp is capable of being bridged into a 4 ohm load. If i would have know this when i got it i would have bought a peavey instead.

Never bothered with it because it will run good at 4 ohms a side. I did email them when i got the amp with a question about running it and they never even bothered to get back to me. I've heard others say also that there customer service is very poor.

I need a power amp that can handle being bridged into 4 ohms and this amp is not capable of it so it is usless to me for my purpose. If you just need to bridge it into 8 ohms or run 4 ohms a side it will serve you well. If they were honest about their ohms ratings like crown and dont recomend a 4 ohm bridge i would give this amp a 10 but i dont like being lied to so it will not get a 10 from me.

It sounds great with my guitar going into my pedals to a P.A. EQ as my preamp! The amp is loud as hell even when not bridged, if you need to bridge it you must be running an arena or something.
It's very quiet, the fan keeps me and the amp very cool.

This amp was made in 2005 to my knowledge... It's designed so the knob affects the input gain, which has several advantages. One is that weak input signals will not sound bad, another is that if you clip the amp you can stop it from the power amp itself.
The amp sounds great and puts out everything you put into it (everything you can hear at least).
It has many features.. clip limiter, low cut filters, etc.
It's solid-state, which is great for the reliability (and just because its solid-state doesnt mean it doesn't sound AWESOME.

It's made with very high grade transistors and other components.
It has been very reliable, I've heard of these getting slammed onto the ground and still working fine.

They were very friendly when I asked some questions about the amp, and put a lot of time into helping me.

For those who want a solid-state P.A. that doesnt distort and sounds great even when you're pushing it hard, I would highly recommend it, this amp will turn your guitar rig into one of the loudest in the world ;)

As this is a power device, it is rather simple to operate with a minimum of controls. Manual is straightforward and also very simple.
Signal indicators on front input/overload/power, as are per channel gain controls. They could lose the "speak-on" spkr. terminals though.
They suck big time. I use the provided bananna posts instead.

I am using this to power a Lexicon 284 tube front end. It has a rich full sound and feel this has very adequate frequency reponse, as well as headroom to boot. No power sag or compression whatsoever. (though some in the tube front end)Could not detect any distortion whatsoever at any level no matter how long the gig, or impedance configuration. Just plain ol' rocks!
A killer unit fer sure! Decisions don't get much easier!

Built like the proverbial brick shithouse. Never gets a hint of overheating or distress of any kind. I would definitely feel comfortable without a backup, though would have one anyways as one never knows. Seems as reliable as can be expected of a pro unit.

as this is a power amp it has no style preference. It is possibly the best audio equipment value on the market today. Get one fer sure!
As good as the QSC's and as good as the Crowns as well in my opinion. Built in switchable limiters and selectable high pass filters
make this very flexible in use. EXTREMELY solid construction!
Excellent sounding unit, especially considering the price; but price aside, it rocks as well as any amp out there! Go get one...don't be a fool. At the asking price, you cannot go wrong. This baby is as clean as they come! What's not to like? Amp can go from P.A., to Powering a bass or guitar front end, (in stereo) to use as a control room amp, it really shines all over, despite it has a Behringer nameplate on it.
(possibly sub-contracted design/production?)(don't know)
(The fan is pretty quiet too.)
