Ease of Use : 10
very easy to use, the basic overdrive three knobs and the switch to turn it on or off.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
I used this pedal with an old cheap guitar before.
it sounds beginner and basic. but I wouldn't say it sounds bad, after all it really does "overdrive" the guitar sound, it just doesn't overdrive that much.

depends on the player's taste of music.

Reliability : 5
I wish I could depend on it that much.
so I am afraid to use it on live performances, I just use it in my room.

but after all these years, it's still alive and sounds like I just bought it.

well, I could use this on a gig, but with a huge backup that is.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I don't know Behringer.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Overall, it really does get that "tube" overdrive thing.
but this wouldn't catch up with the demands of a pro.
so this makes it for a beginner.

compared to the Dano Fab Overdrive, this has the higher price for the lesser performance.

despite its mediocre reputation, I still keep it anyway.
maybe someday it will help me in a way.

this pedal has some basic features, so its not complicated at all. level, drive and tone knobs. they all do what they are supposed to do except probably the tone control, you wont get much out of it.

Sound Quality : 5
I use this pedal in front of a sansamp programmable bass driver (thats a very good one...), basically with a fender standard strat a boss rc-2 loop station (doesnt actually mean anything for the sound) and directly bypass from a small crappy fender rumble to my sony MDR-V700 headphones. with the amp sound its completely crap (the amp is so bad... and its a bass amp indeed) even with the sansamp so i only use it with the headphones, this way i can actually get a nice tube sound, with very clean, harmonic and screamy sounds (always with the sansamp!); the pedal itsef sucks (ey what u want for that price?), u get a thin sound with no soul at all so forget it as a serious pedal by itself. On the contrary, together with the sansamp its really cool, u can get quite some more overdrive that u cant get with the sansamp alone, thats why i buy it, as a driver for my real driver...so i keep it with the drive completely turned to the right and the tone at 12 o'clock, as i said for my personal use i only need the drive knob as i ultimately model my sound completely thru the sansamp. I also use it some times for leading parts with an American Deluxe Fender Jazz Bass, u know? if you like Cream and this nice Jack Bruce??s sound save some money for a sansamp!! and then u can get this behringer to get some more drive as overall sound, with the bass it sucks the low end of course but once again u can correct it with the sansamp (yes i love that unit...). The pedal is kind of noisy with my settings but nothing to worry much (u wont record an album with this unit, will u???)
Overall i would give it a rating of 8 when u have it in front of a sansamp, thats the way u can get a superfat tube screamysound for guitar and bass!! the to100 alone will get 5 even considering the price (i paid 10 euros, jejje)

Reliability : 7
Well, its not a solid boss, not a tech 21... plastic pedal, still i never had problems with it. Just dont throw it against the wall or jump over it and it will survive well a normal use. The knobs on the other hand are completely ********, as soon as u touch then u realice u must be careful, they are not tight at all and im always afraid of breaking them, maybe its just my personal paranoia.
Lets be serious, i wouldnt use this pedal at all in a gig!! First of all because i play bass (s i only spend money on good bass equipment) and i only use the guitar to record progressions at home in the rc-2 and then get crazy soloing over with my bass. Anyway, if u are semipro or pro u know u can not use such thing in a gig at all, it would be like playing thru a crappy zoom pedal, so dont lie to yourself and buy some real thing for serious playing!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never need it, never will; u think for that price i will waste my time??

Overall Rating : 6
Ok, ive been playing bass 10 years and guitar for one. I started playing punk and melodic hardcore (whatever that is supposed to be...) when i was 16, of course u get tired of that music as soon as u r able to play a single song...so, in one hour. Now i basically play blues and jazz, im also playing with some other people some kind of softrock, thats why i dont need fuzzy pedals. Being honest, just get this pedal if u r bored one morning, the price shouldnt be a big deal for anyone BUT this is not professional stuff!! be aware of that, u wont get good pedals for this price that should be obvious. I compare this to a boss blues driver (very nice...) which should probably be the real option to buy but i dont really care about guitar playing and the boss price... well its not expensive but its not 10 euros!
if it were stolen, yeah sure i would buy another one, again the strong point its the price not the sound. For good sound i stick to tech21.
message to take home: really cool to mess up because of the price and if u have a tech21 preamp (or a nice tube amp), that way gets 8, the pedal itself....6

I'm playing Squier Custom Tele II. It sounds very nice and smooth through an already ovedriven amp. When playing on a clean channel, the sound is quite thin but maybe compressor would help. When the TONE is on max you can hear some noise but I don't like the tone so high so I don't mind

Reliability : 10
No problems so far, works reliably

I play blues, britpop and all kinds of other stuff when I want and it suits nice to every genre. I only wish it was other colour than violet :-D For the price (10 Euros = 15 Dollars) it's a fantastic value

American Strat/Dunlop GCB Wah/TO100/Fender Pro JR.
A bit noisy yes
Very weak, thin sounding OD, Sounds bad at low volumes no matter how its set. When pushing an already cranked amp it sounds OK but nothing to write home about.

Reliability : 2
I seriously doubt anyone could depend on this low budget OD. Mine came with the worst feeling pots I have ever seen and the housing feels like a cheap squirt gun that you might find at the dollar store.
It gets a "2" because since I never use it & it still works.

Customer Support : 1
We're talking uber cheap stuff here folks.

Overall Rating : 1
I got mine for $15 shipped through the `net.
If you want a cheap OD that is worth the $$ then look elsewhere like a Danelectro.

This thing is a waste of money unless you like junkie, cheaply constructed and bad sounding gear.

Seriously, buy a Dano Fab OD instead of this POS or save your $$ for an OCD or a RAT or something along those lines.

The original operation amp sounded flat and neutral to me. Some People find this sounds very useful in their sound chain, but I did not liked ist very much.
But that doesn??t matter. I bought this cheep stomp box only for experiments.

I??m lucky, because know a specialist who helped me to mod this box.

My Behringer TO100 is modifyed now and it??s for sure the only Behringer Tubescreemer with a real and original JRC4558D operation amp which was use in the early TS808 and some TS9. The construction of the stomp box had to be changed a little bit, because the JRC chip is 6 times bigger than the original behringer opamp. The original Behringer operatin amp in the TO100 looks a little bit like a fly spot (although labeled as a 4558!).

Sound:

The original JRC 455D IC harmonizes excellent with the circuit of the TO100. It sounds absolutly different from the original TO100.
Now it??s a fat brown sound with an excellent overdrive. The bridge SH1 of my moded EPI Les Paul now produces some very nice overtones and harmonices which I never could hear before from my guitar.

So I??m very lucky to know such an electronic specialist who helped me to mod this stomp box.

Behringer would do a very good job if they would offer 8 Pin sockets and a midification jumper in their Tube Sceemers . Everybody would pay some more money for this additional feature. For sure there are a lot of better op amps which could be tryed besides the excellent cicruit of the Behringer Tube Sceemers.

I play Blues Jazz and traditional Rock in a Band.
I play guitar since more than 30 yaers. But most of the time accustic. The moded TO100 now supports my stile very good.

Straight forward. I keep all my my Behringer OD / dist pedal knobs set pretty close to 50%. If I need more or less drive I just select different pedals.

Sound Quality : 8
I just bought a slew of Behringer gear. 5 Pedals, V Amp Pro, and direct box's. The TO 100 and the TO 800 sound like twin brothers. All knobs set at 50% the TO 800 might have a bit more treble. However I just bump the tone on the TO 100 and they sound identical. These two pedals have nice light break up drive and distortion which is nice in some applications. For the price these Behringer pedals are good enough for a beginner to intermediate player. People complain about Behringer pedals coloring there sound in stand by mode. If my sound is being tainted in standby mode I can't tell. I'm playing a Hamer Artist USA and Fender Strat USA through 7 pedals into a Peavey Classic 100W tube head and it sounds decent to me.

Reliability : No Opinion
NA, It's a China product if it breaks through it away and buy another one.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Behringer has a web site with all there products. I think manuals are down loadable. However the manuals don't tell you anything the knobs don't already say.

Overall Rating : 8
The manual says it draws 30 mA. This and all my other pedals draw less than 6 mA each. Except my digital delay and it draws 75 mA. I'm using an external power supply on all my pedals. My pedals are Ibanez Compressor/Sus, Behringer BO 100 Blues Overdrive, Behringer TO 100 Tube Overdrive, Behringer TO 800 Vintage Tube Overdrive, Behringer OD 100 Overdrive Distortion, DOD FX 68 Chorus, Behringer DD 400 Digital Delay. Pedals are not rocket science. Most are a simple OP Amp operation. The only thing I don't like is the plastic housing and the Made in China sticker. If you can get over that, my Behringer pedal line is pretty decent!

3 knobs, how difficult can it be?

Sound Quality : 7
Its a decent enough sounding little unit for the price paid. Bought it on a whim ; because its so cheap I just had to give it a go. Not too diappointing, if you need a crunchy overdriven sound on a budget it will serve you well. I do miss a certain analogue warmth in the thing, to my ears it sounds a wee bit sterile, but overall, few complaints soundwise in relation to the asking price.

Reliability : No Opinion

Mmmm, yes, well, the thing that worries me are the knobs, they just feel really loose, you can just about feel the PCB onto which the pots are mounted flex as you fiddle with 'em. Not good. The casing will hold out fine I reckon, but a careless boot to the sides of the pots would mean the end of the pot shaft for sure. And therefore the end of the unit.
But, just as with any gear, as long as you're not a complete monkey it should hold out ok. Had it for more than a year, not gigged with it, and I have to say it works flawlessly.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No idea.

Overall Rating : 7

I use it as the crunch between my guitar ( Gibson 1979 The Paul and Squier Tele) and my Roland Bolt 30 valve hybrid amp. For lead I have a Tech 21 unit, and some more pedals, including a Behringer EQ pedal ( now that really is a useful thing!)
You get what you pay for, for 19??? it was worth a punt, and I couldn't care less if it broke or got nicked, just get another one. It's not something you get attached to, these things are like disposable lighters, once they conk out, you just chuck 'em and forget about it.
Saying that , I have no regrets buying it, its a nice enough little toy, and with some care you can get some semi-convincing sounds out of it.

Ease of Use : 9
Its a purple box with three knobs, volume, drive and tone. The only one that I need is the tone since volume and drive are on full at all the time. Getting good sound is not any problem as long as you use a good amp. I give it a solif nine because you have to tweak it on the tone and i am a lazy man ;-) there was no manual coming in with mine since I found it in a rehearsal room. So mine was for free!!

Sound Quality : 9
When I took the thing home I realy didn't expect too much from it. I mean I know these thing cost 20 euro's and why would the good s***t be so cheap right. And hooking it up to a hifi amp just to hear what it sounds like I hear some baffled strange but ok distortion. something like a boss od-3 or similar like that. The real punch in the face came from what I heard after slamming this thing on the high input of my marshall jcm-800 2204 with drive en volume on full!! I never heard tone like this!! iron maiden, yng, all kinds of old skool tones. Soft smooth mid ranged distortion with a little bit of crunch and yet that little bit of clean. This is more a booster I would say. When my bandmates heard the tone of this thing they all where amazed admitting that my amp now had the tone they where expecting from it. I love this thing allready not to mention that it came in to my life for free!! ohw btw using a aria pro 2 gituar on a modded marshall jcm-800 2204 (pre 1988 edition with 0,01nF cap removed and 470pF cap in the second stage)

Reliability : 7
Now I built my own amps and guitars so forth. so i can tell you what is crap and what not. This thing has two input jacks, one transistor (as far as I could see) 5 caps to smoothen the tone ans a few resistors. NOTHING DIDGITAL ABOUT IT!! in case you would think this thing is digital. the main components won't crap out on you that fast but the switch worries me. Those type of switches will eventualy die when used a lot. The pots look fine to me and the box is made of plastic. so what take good care of your stuff don't trow it into the public. I never use spare if my amp craps out on me then I should have soldered it better. If this pedal craps out on me I can always crank the amp up to drive 10 and play on with a little crapier sound. I think this thing will not outlast me but it will work a long time.

Customer Support : No Opinion
their website is nice. Very decent. I never dealt with behringer personaly but their manuals and produkts are always good. Never got burned on their stuff.

Overall Rating : 9
I a happy?? YES I AM! If this thing gets stolen ill get a new one. Allthough I don't believe it will get stolen because people are underestimating it because of the brand and price. It is baragin value for what you get. Now every sucker can figure out how to build something like this but it would cost you just as much or even more. This is a very fair price.
What I love. Is its ability to boost my amp into yng dimension
what i hate is its color. No booster of this quality should be painted in such a pathetic color. This thing should look as good as it is. But then on the other hand the price will go up times 4.
If you are a beginner I can recommend you this thing but beware that sucky equipment can make it sound bad. For the pro, use it and be amazed! If you get burned burn it or take it apart for the electronics, a pedal that cheap is worth the try!!

Have the same controls knobs as the original Tube Screamer.
Control knobs are bit flimsy and "turning" friction is a bit to light.
Changing battery require taking off foot pedal, not difficult but it would be better with a normal battery cover.

Sound Quality : 9
Sounds very similar to a Ibanez Tube Screamer TS9.
Function of the control knobs is also nearly identical.
Noise level is as good or better as a TS9.
And it is not a surprise as I have checked the electric design solution of the TO100 and it is identical (in value on every single component) with a TS9 and is using a version of the 4558 Op-amp (the holy grail in TS808/TS9).
The Behringer "Vintage Tube Overdrive" TO800 is very very similar with TO100, same PCB design , same body etc. My guess is that it has just the small differences in component values between TS9 and TS808(vintage).

Reliability : 7
The handling robustness of the TO100 is not as good as the TS9.
But handled with normal care it will work for a long time.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven??t been in contact with Behringer customer support

I am playing mostly blues with a Yamaha RGX320 (humbucker) guitar.
Playing for 5 years.
For the price it is very good TS9 clone.
