Ease of Use : 10
Very easy to get a good workable sound. Comes with tech sheet describing the importance of using the proper power supply.
No instruction sheet needed. Three knobs, gain, tone and level.

Sound Quality : 9
This is the first pedal I've purchased that I actualy use every setting. I.M.H.O. the Overdose is one of THE most transparent distortions I have ever heard. From mild, gain @ 9:00, tone @ 12:00 to wild Gain all the way up your guitar tone stays intact. I don't hear any coloration in fact it adds some nice bottom. Chords dont't get muddy and the solos have nice definition and sustain.
My current setupo is as follows: Strat-crybaby wah-keely compressor-Overdose-Rat-delay-phaser-amp.
My amps change depending on the gig. I'll use my Fender Deluxe 85 s.s.for small gigs and Sovtek Mig 50 w/Musicman 2/12 cab for lager venues.

Reliability : 9
Built pretty solid. Mine is the etched version in a Hammond 1590 enclousure.Very neat soldering and top notch components. I don't see why it would not last. I never gig w/o a backup. Murphy's Law.

Customer Support : 10
Justin Simpson, who build these pedal by hand is a completre gentleman and redponds to every email I have sent.

Overall Rating : 9
I play rock, blues, funk what ever the mood. I've been playing forever and a day. Till death. I own Rat, Cusack Screamer, Ibanez stl, fat cat, TS-10. Hotcake.
If it was stolen or lost I would by two more!
I love the transparancy of this pedal. I dosen't compress your tone. The distortion is produced by JFET not op-amp.I own many op-amp based pedals, JRC-4558, Lm308 etc...This on is a breath of fresh air. As far as comparing it to other pedals that's hard to do. At first I thought it reminded me of an HAO Rumble Mod but the more I play it the more I heard different. I'm sure it's not an original circuit. It's probably based on something.
I wasa looking for something different sounding since most of my pedals are op-amp based.
It does make me want to play more aggessivly, it is very touch sensitiveand cleans up very well.
My final comment is Justin makes some fine pedals check him out www.biglloyde.com
