Easy to dial in and more usable sounds & sweet spots than most delay units I've experienced. 600/1100 ms switch + knobs for delay time, blend & repeats.
Very cool looking pedal too. Special mention for the bright blue LED

There is a very noticeable mid-hump and slight volume boost when the effect is engaged. I presume this was intended to make leads stand out, but it magnifies the other problem: this unit makes your signal sound ever so slightly boxy and blurry when disengaged, true bypass or not. My trusty Ibanez AD-80, though not "true bypass" per se, leaves the tone more intact when bypassed than the Biyang does. This is after extensive testing.
The sound of the effect itself is good. A lot brighter and less murky than most analog units, which make me wonder just how analog it really is, but this can be a good thing if you have a dark sounding rig or like to play distorted (for example, the AD-80 is a little too murky in that context).
I've also noticed a momentary change of pitch when changing the MS setting on the fly.

It's very easy to use. Three knobs and a mini toggle switch. Nice looking Botique style. The blue LED looks cool, too.

It sounded really nice on my marshall 100 stack with my 2 American made Strats. I use the best patch cords available along with my Blackbox OD and MXR chorus. No hiss or other annoying manners. The delay sound is nice, smooth and pleasing. Silent switching, too. This is my first analog delay stomp box. I've been playing professionally for over 30 years so I've had time to own and use quite a number of delay units in my day. It seemed to work out nicely for me.

Well, here's where it gets ugly. I took it to my first band rehersall and after 2 hours of use it began making what I'll call a low frequency oscillation. It absolutely spoiled my guitar sound. I immediately pulled it out if my signal chain! I was bummed!

I fired off an email and told them my problem. They quickly my email telling me to send it back for a good one. Cool! Well I sent it back to China (Yuanda Art) is the dealer, and waited, and waited, and waited. That was a month ago. I emailed them about this situation but have not heard back yet. In the meantime I had to buy a replacement in order to do my shows. When I won it on Ebay they took my money really fast. Problen is they didn't take care of me as you'd expect a reputable manufacturer/dealer should. Maybe it sank on the cargo ship somewhere near the Panama Canal. Who knows.

What started out as a fabulous buy ended up being a real bust. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll probably never see a replacement. Live and learn. Meanwhile, I've replaced it with a nice reliable unit from an AMERICAN company. I'm sorry to sound so negative about a musical product but this is the honest truth as I see it.

It's got three knobs and a switch. Blend...Time....Repeat....and basically a short/long toggle for fast switches.
No manual included or needed.
Any simpler and it'd be a Small Stone.

I run it with other pedals, an RP7 for fun or dry through a VOX Pathfinder-great amp, love the tremelo. I don't notice any noise. My guitars are an '06 Carvin(GREAT STUFF!) DC127 with all Mahogany neckthrough with quilt maple top loaded with their humbuckers and a crazy cheap stock Squire Bullit Strat...It's made of plywood but with a good tech job sounds and plays great...I can't explain it. Anyway I love this pedal! It's built to withstand what you're gonna give it and it's great quality. It inspires me to play more...what's that tell ya...the mark of all great gear...simple and fun/useable

I bought this because I was on a budget and don't like to pay for junk. That kid of narrows the field. The dude on ebay has sound clips up on his auctions so I felt pretty safe and he answered emails right away. If this were lost or stolen I'd take the oportunity to buy another and maybe that OD box to save on shipping. This is a fantastic pedal that does what it should...it's not Cheap looking, feeling or sounding. I have full confidence in this pedal and will for sure be buying more of their gear. I do have one point to mention...in the adds here and on their website it says "Analogy"...mine only says Analog. Now that would have been cool to show the fellas. :)

This is an updated review from the below review of the Biyang.
Sound Quality

Very simple function... long/short delay time switch, delay time, delay level, & feedback. The switch really is unnecessary; it would be better served if it just went from slapback to long delay.
Reliability

USE A POWER SUPPLY! The pedal's biggest pitfall is it's quick draining of the 9 volt battery! I've used other analog delays that drain batteries quick, but the Biyang sets a new precedent! I literally drained a brand new duracell ultra 9V in TWO HOURS, & thought the pedal was defective... it, in fact, is not, but just kills batteries at an incredible rate. With a 9V 200 ma power supply, you don't have to worry any longer. I'm raising the reliability to 8 from my previous score... just don't use a battery!
Customer Support

Quick to respond, but never mentioned the quick drainage of battery cells... this would have saved me a lot of time, & kept me from losing the function onstage on the gig. Biyang really shouldn't even bother with the battery cell, because it's a wonderful delay with the power supply, & it's so inexpensive, adding the power supply is still a thrift move. Dissapointing customer support... you are ecpected to ship the pedal all the way back to China on your own expense if it needs repair.

For the price, an excellent sounding delay. If you buy one, spend the extra ten bucks on a power supply, & you'll be very pleased with what you get. A good analog delay with an unusual amount of delay time, and true bypass.

Very simple basic delay setup.... delay time, delay feedback, and delay level controls, and a short/long delay toggle switch. No manual but none needed. The switch is useless, as you still have to back way off on the delay time pot for slapback.
Sound Quality
:

Well, it only worked for about two hours, but here's how it did for those two hours: A very audible volume jump when the effect was engaged, as well as a midrange boost & mild distortion... this was with a brand spanking new duracell ultra 9-volt. The delay was warm, although brighter than I would have liked. The toggle switch to me is useless, because I never go past 500 ms on my delay sound... I would rather have the switch go from slapback to long... this one goes from long to super long.

The AD-7 pedal only worked for two hours, then the delay completely vanished... LED comes on, but no echo. I switched to another brand new battery & no change. Very disappointing, as Biyang claims to use the higher quality components for their pedals. I contacted them through ebay multiple times; they refused to compensate for shipping if I sent it back for repairs. There is no dealer here in the states that they work with for repairs. I didn't listen to the wiser voice in my head when I bought this Chinese made pedal, & I once again paid the price.

Biyang returned my emails, but refused to help out with what I would have to pay to send the pedal all the way back to China for repair. They kept telling me "It's a really great pedal! Don't worry!" I found them to be very patronizing, considering the brand new pedal stopped working in the middle of it's first gig, when I really needed it. That's about as useless as customer service for a brand new pedal can get, to me. To get it fixed here would probably cost as much as the pedal itself.

I've been playing professionally for fifteen years in Los Angeles, doing studio work & live gigging. The gig I used this Biyang for was a country show... strat>way huge green rhino overdrive>MXR phase 90>Biyang AD-7>Music Man HD130 210... Like I said before, the Biyang was a somewhat warm delay sound, with an average user friendliness... for about two hours. Now it's just a cute looking little effect pedal with no effect. To get it fixed would double the price; instead I just spent the same total amount on the new MXR Carbon Copy... it is superior in every way, & I know it won't crap out, because the MXR stuff never does.
Don't make the silly mistake of trying to save 50 or 60 dollars by buying this chinese made product... you get what you paid for, believe me. These other reviewers will be singing the same song soon enough, when the pedal dies on them, too.

The pedal is all analog, no digital components and getting a good sound depends on how you tweak, they say tone is in the hands and ears to the guitar player. No manual is required it pretty much explains itself, firmware is N/A

I use a variety of Solid State, Rectifier and Tube Amps and for a test it has proven to be consistent and great sounding in any amp, i cant even believe how it does not peak and introduce distortion to the signal. i plug it with my ibanez's and i get amazing delay that does not color the signal path. To also make a point it sounds superb with a tube amp! This delay pedal has made things simple and with the right adjustments you will get that singing delay without getting gear that cost 4X more!. If your into guitar soloing this is a pedal worth every penny. You can never go wrong with this pedal i assure you!

I play rock, metal, alternative, blues and jazz. and as i plugged this pedal and tried it on every musical style i know i was so impressed i will be discarding some of the delay gear i own, because i found the right delay! I've been playing for around 15 years but that isnt what where reviewing here!
John Chen the seller of these pedals give them at almost give away prices! His contact info is in his site http://www.wirelessgoes.com/
and you CANT get these anywhere this dirt cheap!
If i knew these existed, i wouldnt have bought other pedals that sound like crap.
Yeah if stolen i would either find the gu who stole it lol, I would definitely buy it in a heartbeat!
I have nothing but love for this pedal! the most favorite feature is its a taped delay, nothing sounds so much cleaner than this!
I compared it to my boss, behringer, arion, dod, and line 6 delay pedals and i tell you this TAKES THE CAKE!
For now im satisfied! EASY TO USE, RELIABLE AND DURABLE, what more can you ask?

First off, I'm not a company employee looking to help sell my stuff. I'm a real world guitar guy. Having said that I can continue. My current rig is a Marshall DSL 100 watt stack, Various AMERICAN guitars, MXR chorus, and a Blackbox Cobalt overdrive Bear in mind, I have a pretty critical ear. If it sucks, I'll be the first guy to say so. This is my first little ananlog delay box so I have no basis for comparing to other simmilar units. I have owned 2 different tape dealy units (yeah the real ones!) and a couple digital delay configurations. My impressions are as follows; It wants to be the last in line on my stomp box chain. When placed earlier inline the unit makes a very pronounced electronic combing noise. After I got that sorted out I found it to give a smooth, pleasing, organic-like sound. The sound inspired me to play on... When engaged I did notice a small loss of tone in my original guitar signal. It'll be ok for me.

Given the price I paid ($66.00 from Ebay new) I don't think anyone on the planet could beat that value. I will continue to use the pedal, it works really well! I've been forced into a third world economy like so many other Americans today. I really wanted a delay unit so I took a gamble on Biyang. I'm very happy I did. It's everything the website said it was. If I make some real money someday I'd like to try some of those rich-guy botique pedals, even though a comparable unit would cost 6 times as much. For the price I would encourage you to Try-Yang.
