Its very easy to use this pedal, all the settings I've tried sound very desirable. Its completely analogue, no modeling or anything. Made from precision parts, they say. Whatever that means; its not like its a Mercedes. I just know its right wicked.

As a prologue, I'd like to mention that this is an extremely transparent pedal. It doesn't cloud up your sound at all when you turn it on.
I run this pedal through a Valvetronix ad50vt on the Boutique Cl and UK 70 settings, and I've been using a Hagstrom SS and a CIJ Jaguar Special(w/ p90s). I run a Tube Screamer after it, which really enhances the sound.
Think muff. The three settings on the switch are mislabeled- Muff does sound precisely like a EH Muff Pi, which I didn't like when I first heard it and don't like now, but not everyone has my tastes, so I'll chalk this sound off as a good one. This setting is actually brighter than the Bright setting, although the tonal range is excellent and goes well with the rhythm circuit on my Jag(50k pots) and the Lead(1meg pots). The Bright setting sounds like it is a mix of the Warm and Muff settings, and is my favourite. The Warm setting is actually very warm, it seems to have the highs filtered off, resulting in less gain, and a smoother sort of OD/Fuzz sound, and is rather British sounding (think London Fuzz).
The brand of fuzz could also be compared to a Fuzz Face, only even more fuzz can be added. It doesn't have the harsh sound that Silicon transistors usually have, but it doesn't have the sickly sweet sound of Germanium.
The fuzz knob takes the sound from a thin, hard sounding fuzz (very Jack White) to a massive amounts of fuzz. I usually just leave this at 9 o'clock, this pedal has that much fuzz.
The tone knob is very useful, and doesn't sound muffled when you turn it down. I leave this at 1.30 because I like a slightly brighter sound, although even at its brightest this pedal has some dark undertones.
I think the Level knob comes right after the input, because when you turn it down almost it starts to sound very thin and brittle. I don't know why, but you have to turn it way down to get this effect, so this really isn't noticeable normally. It may also be my amp. I have no way of checking.
This is actually a really noisy pedal. Even with the level and fuzz knobs turned down the way I have them, I still get some feedback. I guess I would have to stand somewhere instead of right in front of my amp to turn it up higher.
This pedal also has true bypass, making it just as good sounding off as on. This is a feature I always appreciate, it's why stomp boxes will always be superior to pedals like Boss, Ibanez, or Digitech.
I don't like leaving really nice reviews, but I haven't found anything bad to say about the way it sounds.

It seems fairly dependable, although the three position switch came loose the first hour I had it, and now moves from side to side as well as up and down. Its fairly disturbing, but I'm good friends with Mr. Soldering-Iron if it needs to be replaced. These kinds of switches are always tricky though. The rest is well built, the pots are smooth and tight, and the foot switch is well in place. Not a single nut or screw has come loose, so its pretty well set.
This pedal probably uses Silicon transistors. Its not mentioned anywhere, but usually its bragged about when a pedal is made with Germanium. This means that as this pedal heats up (under stage lights or with use) it won't loose sound quality, which is the greatest shortcoming of Germanium transistors.
Fuzz isn't my only sound, and there's enough redundancy in my setup that there's no way I would consider getting another one of this exact pedal. However, if I had a super clean amp and this was my only pedal, I would want some kind of backup, if not another FZ-7. Maybe the Biyangs OD pedal.
It hasn't cut out on me or anything, so I think I'm good.

I haven't dealt with the company, but so far as I've seen, nobody who sells these speak English very well. (seriously guys, "Tonefancier?") The company is also in China, so it would be difficult to reach them for repair anyway. I would spend more than the cost of a new pedal on shipping. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the loose switch.
Also, this item came with no manual, the text on the back mentions a warranty, but I don't see one anywhere, or can I read the actual text of it. Its easy enough to use, twist the knobs for power, but usually a manual will have some kind of insight to the pedal. The icing on the cake is when they say on the back of the stomp box, "Distortion will be present when battery is depleted." Distortion on a fuzz pedal? You fail guys, thanks for playing.

This pedal is sexy! I was uncomfortable about how turned on I was when I first looked at it and played it. It has a brushed steel top and right wicked lettering. No plastic here.
I play indie, blues and classic rock, as well as the occasional heavy metal. It is a great match for my style as I've been looking for a pedal like this since I started. The Big Muff Pi sounded too thin for me, and I couldn't get enough gain off of an Arbiter, the Fuzz Factory squealed like a pig, the list goes on. I don't usually buy a pedal without trying it, but it had come very highly recommended by a guy who has owned more guitar equipment than Hendrix, Clapton and Eric Johnson combined.
If this were lost I would buy it again. I'm also considering buying more products from this company; I really like their stuff, especially the OD and Analogue Delay
My favourite feature is the three-way switch. It gives the pedal three very desirable but different sounds, two of which I had been actively looking for and use often, and the third being very popular. I dislike that I can't get an exact Jack White sound, its the sound I've had in my head for many years, then I heard him with it. I really like the versatility and the transparency of all the settings, none of them muddy up my sound.
Its difficult to remember what you wanted to know before you had owned something, I think I included everything. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Just a quick note about the BOZO who uses this space to advertise his stupid site (wirelessgoes.com) with an obviously fake review -- buyer beware, the dude is not only a wise-*** but he sells these pedals at about $20 than what they cost on e-bay. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

The pedal is a tad noisy, but so are most fuzz pedals. Love the purring fuzz sounds, not harsh at all. This is not a crazy zvex-type effect, but it is quite inspiring nevertheless. Tone control is quite effective and helps smoothen out the tone if needed. Three-way switch is a very cool feature with very noticeable differences in sound. Best sounds are obtained when the level is maxed, but be carefull this pedal adds A TON of volume -- suffice it to say that unity is at 8 o'clock!
Sounds amazing with a tube amp. I've played it with both single coils, P-90s and humbuckers -- sounded great with all.

Great pedal for very little money. I have a modded Big Muff (MohoMods) and this guy beats it hands down. Great way to get into the delights of fuzz -- very musical pedal.
I've been playing for over 25 years and own about 30 guitars and half-dozen amps.

The Effect Unit is easy as 1,2,3. 3 knobs to adjust the tone, level and fuzz effect and 3 choices of Muff, Bright and Warm settings in a flick of a switch. Pedal controls explains themselves no need for a manual

My setup is a range of tube, solid state and rectifier amps. im using Ibanez guitars with guitarheads hexbuckers.
For sound no its not noisy at all, smooth sounding fuzz distortion is in every setting, it can get nasty if you put everything in 5 o clock position.
The effects are not weak at all, very punchy and alive. it puts other fuzz pedals i have to shame.
I generally like this pedal with a Tube amp. so warm and very blues and jazzy sounding. Think Eric Johnson!

Great little compact pedal from Biyang. No manual... none required.
Pull it out, plug it in, and tweak to taste.

The FZ7 Fuzz has a very sturdy sound with a three range toggle. These will be affected by amp settings as well, but there is some noticable definition in utilizing the different toggles. The sound is sharp and clear and will not howl back at you, which I do like sometimes, but you can control this unit a bit while it gets loud and nasty.
I thought originally that maybe the Fuzz sound sounded a bit sterile, but having played with a bit more I have changed my opinion and keep coming back to it. No noise noted on bypass and the sounds fit well in the amp mix.

I have not had this unit too long, can't give it a 10, but I get a good feeling about the overall quality and construction. It is compact, housed in a brushed aluminum metal casing. No plastic yuck) and it might bend if you whacked it real hard, but doubt if it would break. No volume drop or quirky quirks noted. I trust the unit to perform. If my stage sound depended on Fuzz, you bet I would have a backup.(At Biyang prices, maybe a another of these.)

Bought from a extremely good seller from US Ebay. Asked questions, got answers. These do come from overseas originally but I always try to seek out domestic sellers that can service me better if an issue should arise.Hopefully nothing but praise will be required.

I have the Biyang Delay as well and I give this a 10 for overall value, sound and price. Three mode option Fuzz with Bright to Warm settings. Utilizing the amp you can pull some different tones out of this box with different toggle settings, so you are not married to one sound only. Changes are not dramatic, but they are there and can surely inspire more jammin' Good clean box, good price, good quality... let there be rock!!

I have been on a search for a classic fuzz sound, but also with the option of tonal variation and possibly fuzz type varition. After trying almost all of the well-known brand fuzz pedals and also checking out some of the 'BOUTIQUE' pedals om the market as well as some VINTAGE models. I had almost gave up the search when I happened upon the BIYANG FZ-7 and believe me my search is over. This pedal gives me everything I could ever have wanted from a fuzz pedal and more. The sound is more than good, it's incredible, and believe me I am a very difficult customer to satisfy. The best way to discribe the sound would be, imagine the perfect fuzz pedal sound that you hear in your head when you dream of ripping through the perfect riff, it's here. I have a huge selection of single and multi-effects units and I would say that this is the closest thing to perfect that I have ever purchased in my 26 years of playng. You will not look past this pedal, Jimi would have loved it.
