Ease of Use : 10
Couldn't be easier to use. Volume Gain and tone controls....as well as a small switch with 3 settings: TS, bright, and warm. When I first got it, I switched it to TS, and put all the knobs at 12:00, and it sounded great.

Sound Quality : 10
I am using this with a strat that i built, and an old tube amp made in the 60's(no name brand on it anymore). This thing sounds great! It's as good as any TS-808 or clone I've ever heard. Smooth, fat, warm....all the good stuff. If you like to leave your amp set kind of dark for cleans, the bright switch adds a lot of top end. Otherwise, it's a little to shrill for me....the warm switch acts as expected. cuts some highs, and adds just a touch more gain to the sound. I prefer the standard TS setting, which just sounds beautiful. I have this, a big muff, a dod od-250, and a rat, and i can get pretty much any distortion sound that i need. Plus it's true bypass, and has a dead quiet switch. Great buy!!!! especially for 50 bucks(including shipping from china!)

Reliability : No Opinion
Seems built like a tank. solid metal casing, top, sides, and bottom. leaving as no opinion because i've only had it a couple of weeks.

Again, I cant say enough good things about this pedal. If you are wanting a TS-808 clone.....this is your best bet. Supposedly, it uses the same circuitry as the original, and i believe it. If it were stolen I would buy 2 more.

Easy 3 knob volume tone drive, Plus a 3 way toggle switch, TS, bright & warm.

Sound Quality : 10
I'm using a Ibanez SZ720 to a 66 bassman w/ 15" JBL. This pedal just sounds so good. I have tried & own a lot of overdrive pedals from Rocktek to Jacques. This Tonefancier has something the others don't, It's just real sweet and musical. The notes are really saturated and sustain but not buzzy or fuzzy. I mostly use the TS setting right now but the others sound great too. The bright has quite a Volume boost while the warm is a bit dirtier than the TS setting. I use this with an Ibanez CS9 chorus, Robin Trower baby! Tubescreamer look out. This pedal sounds better, has true bypass ,is more versatile, built just as well and costs much less.

Reliability : 9
So far no problems. Very strong all metal construction. Seems to be very gig friendly. A 9 only because it newer and hasn't passed the test of time.

They have a website, haven't used it.

Overall Rating : 10
I play mostly rock ,classic rock, hard rock, blues, it fits all styles great. I have been playing about 30 years on & off. I also use a Ibanez CS9 chorus, Digitech reverb & Daphon E20od overdrive. This is my favorite overdrive of some 20 I have, I would have to replace it. If your a Tubescreamer user you may be converted to a Tonefancier.

Three settings. Easy to use.

Sounds pretty damn good. Bought it cautiously (basically is cheap, from china etc... ).However this is a truly excellent pedal giving me the edge to my valve amp that I was looking for. I received the pedal quicker form China then I have stuff from UK! i use this with my early seventies tube carlsbro amp.

Reliability : 9
Seems well built. Has metal casing.

Don't know.

Overall Rating : 9
Play garage 60's/punk.Seems as good as Barber, Fulltone etc...I like the fact I can get a more bassy and darker sound out of it as opposed to purely a trebly sound which does not fit well with me or my guitar.

The OD-7 is an overdrive pedal in the all analog Tonefanciers series from Biyang. There are three top mounted potentiometers called Level, Tone and Distortion with a three position toggle switch called normal, bright and warm. You select a switch position and spin turn the knobs till you hear what you want. This is back to the 70's in approach and really easy.

Sound Quality : 9
I know that logically these pedals should not sound good. They don't cost over $200.00 and they can't be considered boutique by anyones standard. None the less, at the end of the day I am impressed that it sounds musical and is quite versatile in the range of sounds that can make. I have tried it with a Mercury modified Valve Jr and a Mesa Nomad 45 and both sounded great. You could get a Stonezy crunch or a smooth violin sound easily by adjusting the amount of distortion and the tone control is useful to dial in the sound. I took one apart (had to) and it is a simple and solid design. It uses the components it claims to and is true bypass. It does not sound muddy (unless you want that)

Reliability : 9
Well, it survived my reassembly and still is rock solid. The metal case is well strong enough to protect the small circuit board and switch and I would guess it could handle some abuse. I have not had any problems with the pedal and I power it via a spot-1 power supply.

No contact with Biyang but the fella I get these from on Ebay is quite professional. I think he is out of Texas.

The Biyang ToneFancier series are simply old-school analog devices and the OD-7 is the overdrive. It has three potentiometers (volume, tone, drive)and a three position switch to change the voiceings (TS-Bright and warm). Twist the knobs and flip the switches to get the sound you want. Very Easy!

Sound Quality : 10
The OD-7 is an overdrive so you can get sounds like crunching clear chords to smooth single note sustain. If you want more dirt this pedal is not going to give you sounds like a RAT or a fuzz. This is a true bypass pedal so it will not muck up the tone and does not make any noises when the switch is engaged. The pedal is NOT noisey and makes many boutique pedals seemed overpriced and over rated. It is safe to say you can't go wrong with this pedal, especially at their low cost. I like that this pedal does not get muddy unless you switch it to a darker sound.

Reliability : 9
I have been using this pedal on my board for two months and have not had ANY problems.

I have not had to contact Biyang. There has been no reason to and so I rank this a No Opinion.

Overall Rating : 10
I play Rock/blues/Country and very little jazz. I have great guitars and amps (Mostly old Guilds guitars and Mesa Amps)and this pedal sounds great on both clean and overdrive channels without adding noise or making the amps sound bad to my ears.
