This product is super easy to use. Plug and play literally! The manual is useless but I got a good laugh out of it. The translation is hilarious.

I bought this to use it with my 80s Roland bolt 30 which has a tube main amp and a solid state pre-amp. The distortion on the Roland sucks, the clean sound is wonderful. However, it is really hard to get a distortion out of the clean channel. This is where the ODT comes in: I plugged it into the amp directly to drive the clean channel, practically using it as a tube pre-amp. I play it with a Gibson 335 and a fender Strat, both with vintage style low output Alnico 2 PUs. I am searching a warm mild distortion, not the Metal shredder sound. I was AMAZED of the sound this relatively cheap product produces. I get a very nice warm, musical distortion starting on the low side all the way to a great Rock sound. Chords are being brought across very well, you can hear each string, the distortion is very harmonic. Single note soloing is pure fun. I cranked the Bass knob all the way up, the treble stays low resulting in a fat sound. The Drive I have set to a range between 1/4 - 1/2 way up. Great things is that you still can control the Gain easily and get a great distortion sound even if your amp is set to a low volume. I am super happy with the sound the ODT produces on my Clean Roland tube channel!

I just got it, it appears to be robust.

Jazz, Blues, Rock. I??ve been playing for 30 years. I have owned several all tube 2 channel tube amps so I know what sound I am looking for. I love the way this thing looks, besides the graphics which make it appear a bit low-end. I am sure they will rub off easily ;-). Great value for money!

Easy to use and get a good sound out of.

Have to say, this is one cool-looking pedal. Looks plenty solid with that small protection bar over the tube opening. Full-size knobs. Solid footswitch.

The tube filaments actually glow! Not lit by LEDs!

Mine is the "value" version - the cheapest amongst the three. Guess what? It didn't sound any different from the "standard" version.

Sound Quality : 8
Very tubey-sounding overdrive. Has that tube presence and clarity that only comes from an actual tube. Good for slight OD to mid-gain distortion.

Mainly play blues and roots stuff. Also own a few other tube overdrive pedals. This one sorta takes a middle path amongst them - can do both light overdrive and moderate distortion.

Like it for the price I paid. This pedal is a very good example of how the Chinese manufacturers are catching up in terms of sound and build quality, while retaining a low price. Biyang is probably a leading Chinese effects maker right now.

100 per cent tube tone, sounds really great for blues and rock

it's high quality build! Really,a lot better than most any pedals you've seen. The top case is made of top quality brushed aluminum, not folded steel as someone else noted.

Very easy pedal to use, four knobs control the Main level, Bass, Treble and Gain of the effect. There is a single stompswitch to turn effect on this switch also totally bypasses the effect circuit when turned off, preventing the effect from sucking any tone from the guitar when not in use.

Sound Quality : 9
Produces a classic overdriven valve tone, i have the otd-100pro which has a electro harmonix tube in it. The distortion sounds sweet and free from noise at high levels, the tube take a few secounds to warm up when you first use it.

Reliability : 9
Seems solid enough its made totatly free folded steel, the top of which is stainless. Comes with its own power supply.

Customer Support : 10
Contactable direct to the factory via msn (which is free) or Phone.

Overall Rating : 10
For the price this pedal is by far the best distrotion pedal i have ever owned, considering most tube distorsions are well over 100 pounds the baby is a bargin.
