Very easy to use. It's just a basic 6 band eq in pedal form.

This is the best eq pedal I've ever used. Absolutely transparent. It sounds like your guitar, only better. All of the eq bands are linear and are useful throughout the entire range with out any noise or harsh side effects. Never boxy sounding. It's like a Neve eq for your guitar. Smooth, fat, warm and musical.
Reliability

Built in a heavy steel box for better noise rejection than those MXR style pedals. Features a heavy duty switch and faders. It's was made in the 70's and is still going strong.

None. According to Jaques Pedals site, these were made only for a short time in the UK and are extremely rare.

Not to be confused with the current Blackbox company, this Black Box eq is a rare vintage pedal that excedes the vintage pedal stigma. It's easily worth whatever the price tag says. It was built using rainbow caps and MCI opamps.
