The Blackstone Appliances MOSFET Overdrive 2S is extremely easy to use. This is new version of the pedal, and it comes complete with manual (although you really don't need one). EXTREMELY awesome tones are contained in this pedal.

I use the Blackstone with a Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Signature Strat and a custom made Holland amplifier. I'm after an Yngwie-like tone, and I use the Blackstone to boost the Holland.
This pedal contains AMAZING tones. On the brown channel, I can approximate Yngwie's older tone exactly. By cranking down the gain on my amp, and switching over to the red channel, I get the most amazing modded Marshall crunch I've heard! Even with the HS-3 single coils, I can get a really great high gain tone. I love it!!
Before this pedal I was using a Fulltone Fulldrive 2, and this thing completely blows it away. Much more gain potential in the Blackstone!
Reliability

Only had the pedal for a few weeks, but the construction appears rock solid. At least on par with the Fulltone stuff if that gives you an idea.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to purchase the pedal at first, so I sent Jon Blackstone several e-mails. He answered every one and was extremely honest. He's also got a great web site. I believe Jon would bend over backwards to support his customers.

For the money, this pedal is fantastic. It has a wide range of tones from slightly overdrive to all out modded Marshall fantasy land inside. I wholeheartedly recommend the Blackstone!!
