Ease of Use : 10
Simple and easy to use. Controls are plainly marked and simple. I love the larger size control knobs!!

Sound Quality : 9
I am using this with a Fender Telecaster thru an Old Fender Princeton and also a gibson ES 175 thru a Polytone. The unit is not noisey at all.... very quiet on both rigs.
Good attack and release qualities.

Reliability : 9
I use this unit with no backup and have not had any problems.

Customer Support : 10
I called the guy Bonepicker once with a few general questions about the unit. Nice, friendly, answered all of my questions without hesitation.

Overall Rating : 9
I play a mix of country, blues and swing jazz. After trying a multitude of compressors this one is my favorite so far!!
I have been playing over 45 years and absolutely love this unit.
I played thru one of the early Bonepicker Amps awhile back in Nashville that was up for testing. That was a nice amp with a warm smooth sound. When I saw this compressor unit I figured I would give it a chance based on their amp that I saw earlier..... Damn glad I did!

The 3 knobs are self explanatory. The tone control is more effective and interactive with the volume and tone than any other I've tried. It might take a bit of experimenting to find your sweet spot, but you WILL find it.

Sound Quality : 10
I use it with a Fuchs 50 watt amp,a strat, and a PRS. It is extremely quiet until maxed out and even then, it is not much to worry about. None of that obnoxious extra noise most pedals have. My main concerns are serious sustain, low noise, and good tone. This delivers!

Reliability : 10
I would use it without a backup. It is built to the highest professional standards you could ask for.

Customer Support : 10
I have spoken with the builder and received advice and support above and beyond what I even expected. He stands behind his products.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing professionally more than 40 years. I play mainly R&B, rock & blues. I think this will work for any style.
I am a compressoraholic and have been through 15 or 20 (I lost count) of the top of the line comps., and this is at the top of the heap. I love it.

This is the second pedal I got from Jim West I bought the Tight Squeeze two knob compressor Sustainer around three years ago and never looked back.
Now comes a new pedal from Jim West at Bonepicker Amplifiers the Bone Squeeze, yes it does sound a little provocative but it is simply the best sounding compressor I have used besides the Tight Squeeze!
The tone control is what makes this pedal worth the $150.00 it makes your notes and cords ring a well spring of tone I use it with my Les Paul and Fenders I guess I will sell my Tight Squeeze, nothing like it sweet tone and compressed sustain.

Sound Quality : 9
Name any Country picker as well as others this thing cleans up the act I use a Happy Cat distortion box I bought off Ebay from Sal in Florida, apparently it is a copy of the beloved big box 80???s Rat let me tell you I owned a big box rat and this thing just smokes the poor old Rat, tight sustain but even better yet it sings with the Bone Squeeze! Anything I use this Compressor with works well.
I use a 65 Black Face Deluxe Reverb with Eminence Red Coat Red Fang Speaker Alnico 12" a match made in heaven after the long break in time on the speaker.
This pedal is rich and transparent with complex tones as well as being quiet as a Church Mouse if you place it in front of your chain!

Reliability : 10
Like I stated I have had the Tight Squeeze for three years and stomped the nadds of it and never had a problem, built like a Tiger Tank with some of the best parts on the market and clean wiring.
So my guess this thing should out last my Tight Squeeze.
Jim's philosophy is building it right the first time so it doesn't come back!

If this was lost or stolen? I would buy another ASAP this thing is glued to my board!!
