Easy to used and set-up. But designed for a limited number of Boss-shaped pedals.

I gig regularly. The plastic catches both broke within a few months. I took the guts out of this and kept them. The case itself I threw away. Great for the environment. I have a Diego pedalboard now instead, and that is a good quality piece of kit, unlike the Boss unit.

It's okay, if you only use Boss pedals and handle it like a injured baby bird. But who wants that? I really would recommend you DON'T buy this. It's expensive, and breaks fast. Build your own, or have a look at Diego.

This is a very easy setup for anyone using a few effects. This is not some huge pro pedalboard thats why it's $129. Comes with all the cables and adapters you need for seven pedals. Has built in spot for the skinny Boss tuners...but if you want to use a wah or volume pedal that option dissappears because the wah extends into that spot. I use the TU-2 so no problem for me but something you should consider.

Sound Quality : 9
Not noisy at all with my setup (Blues driver, TU-2, GE-7 EQ, Boss Trem., RV-3 delay)

Reliability : 8
It's flimsier than expensive ones but if you're semi careful with the thing you can keep it nice.

Customer Support : 9
Boss is a good company never had any problems with them and personally I think their gear is pretty tough.

Overall Rating : 9
For me gigging one night each weekend and going to jam during the week this is perfect not alot of money to lay out to have everything in one case all powered up and never needs disassembled. Like everything yeah theirs better out there but consider your needs and what you really want to sink into an accessory. The playing is what matters effects are just filler.

Quite easy to use and set-up, the manual is virtually flawless. Initially very fiddly, but difficult to get wrong. Once it's all tailored to your needs, the setting up before a gig is a little slower than other pedalboards, especially since you can't fit ANY pedal in it - I had to plug in my Morley Wah outside of the case. The in-built power supply is very useful and easy to use, which is one of the reasons I bought this (see reliability however)

Although with certain pedals the Boss power supply might not be optimal, but I haven't encountered any problems.

Reliability : 2
Locks are terrible, luckily there are holes (meant for padlocks?) next to the locks so you could string it shut if [WHEN] yours break.

A more major weakness is the Power supply, which is incredibly flimsy, every gig I fear for tis safety. I would advise you to get a spare, if you really insist on buying this board.

I will shortly be purchasing a *proper* pedalboard; I simply cannot afford to deal with the chance of this failing during a gig. For the price, however, its usefulness is unquestionable. And if you aren't playing too many gigs, and you can keep it from any knocks/damage, I'm sure it will serve you excellently.

Ease of Use : 8
Fairly easy to set up, even if cutting up the squares is a little difficult, power cables are well hidden and the whole thing is neat and tidy, good design.

Sound Quality : 10
I used it to power a Dunlop 535 Q Cry Baby wah and a Boss OD-20, BF-3, NS-2 and a DD-6. No noise generated whatsoever, and the patch cables are good quality too.

Reliability : 4
This is where I have my problem with it: the plastic exterior gets damaged easily, the plastic hinges snap easily (you can't fit a Cry Baby in properly, if you do they will snap), and the power supply is very flimsy, the cable actually got ripped out of its casing after seven months of gigging.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No idea, all my Boss pedals are fine and I never contacted them about the pedalboard.

Overall Rating : 6
Good idea, but the quality needs to be brought up a couple of notches. That said, I still use the patch cables on my new Diago pedalboard. They're probably the best thing about the board! Think long and hard before buying this.

Very simple to set up, especially if you have Boss pedals. The end effect is very neat and tidy looking. The trays at the top are good for additional items, or hiding small junk :) The top has the eggcrate type of foam, which helps hold things in place, at least while it's new. I was able to add an AC extension cord and my guitar cord - wrapped neatly, it all fits.

Sound Quality : 10
No change to the original sound.

Reliability : 5
Plastic latches. Why did they have to use plastic latches??
One of the latches broke the first time I used it. And I'm very careful with equipment. I let the lid fall closed, and it caught the latch piece, which broke and flew across the floor. I could get the latch to work, but later the latch piece fell off and disappeared... That was it.
So don't let the thing bang shut, ever, and this might last you a long time. I took some of the pieces to use in the second go-round, using a CNB case.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 7
A couple of negatives: if you have other pedals that need AC power, you have to do-it-yourself. I added an extension cord with 3 plugs, and it doesn't look that bad.
The guitar cables plug in vertically, which looks a little dorky. Minor point.
It's rather large if you only have a few pedals. I added my wireless receiver and a microtrack device, plus a small digital clock.
Overall, though, it creates a nice looking landing pad for your stuff, and it's really nice that all the cables can be fitted into the slots and covered with the finish pieces. Very neat for us "neat freaks." The neatness of it is my favorite feature.
I would not buy it a second time because of the plastic latches. If they fixed that, and maybe made it a bit smaller, I'd go for it.

This is the first pedal board I've ever bought; I've played for over 25 years andhve used a lot ofpedals, but always used some sort of homemade rig. This is much better - no more having to carry a suitcase full of effects, unload and hook them all up, etc, etc. It's all done with this thing. I found it very easy to set up, with 2 Boss effects, 2 Arion effects, and a Cry-Baby wah-wah.

Sound Quality : 9
I was surprised - it actually sounds better than just hooking them up in a line the way I used to much less buzz and interference.

Reliability : 8
It seems well built enough

I play rock & blues. I chose this one because it was cheaper and smaller than the other ones that I saw the day I bought it.
So far I rally love it.

It is pretty easy to use... But it's annoying having to put your cables through that black tunnelway thing...

Sound Quality : 7
no noise...

Reliability : 5
I hate BOSS says it can "almost" fit any other pedal in this board... BUT IT CAN'T... but I mean, you can't blame them... It's a BOSS product... other than that, the c\patch cables they provide you suck like crap... mine lasted for about a month...

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 7
This was the frist pedalboard I ever bought... I thought it was cheap and it said they that it could fit almost an other pedal in there so I chose it... after about a month I had a whole stack of effects to put into the board and none of them fit... so I bought another pedalboard... My BCB-60 is still at home... and I never use it anymore...
But it's a BOSS... so you know you can rely on it's durability...

Perfect, you have to cut some padding ocassinaly to fit defferent pedals but it means you can make things tidy and neat :).
also the bar to keep wires for dc cables hidden is great even though i dont use it

Sound Quality : 10
perfect all the electrics work fine so the only things that can effect the sound are the pedals you actually use

Reliability : 7
i would give this 10 if it were not for the latches to lock the board as they are made from cheap plastic and come un done very easily so i would definatly change them.

Customer Support : No Opinion
dont know

Overall Rating : 9
a fantastic piece of kit ive taking out the metal bars and parts that are inside the board so know ive got 3 more pedals in there then its supposed to hold and to power them ive got dc splitter cables to add more power.

This is the category that is 90% of the review, logically, as we are talking about a pedal board, and not an effect per se. The BCB-60 is roughly 26" long, 14" wide and 3" deep when closed for transporting it. It is made of charcoal gray, very heavy injection molded plastic.
The lid is designed to be removed for use, and has "stub" hinges about 1/4" thick that snap into place. It appears to me that it would require intentional abuse - and a lot of it - to wear out the hinge pins. The top locks with two sliding locks of "average" huskiness - I would have like to have seen slightly heavier-duty hardware there. The lid is filled with "egg carton" foam rubber, and does an excellent job of holding everything inside motionless for transport. The *empty* case has a nice heavy, substantial feel to it. The manual is clear and well-written, and is worth reading carefully one time - it can save you a few moments hesitation and head-scratching during setup.

There are three large dense foam rubber pads in the base of the board - each has space for two single FX boxes. An extra pad is included that can be "cut to suit" for an unusual pedal. The other three have die-cut outlines of the Boss pedal configuration. I use four pedals, two Boss, two Ibanez. The Boss pedals fit hand-in-glove to the cutouts, as would be expected. A few moments quick measurement and sharp scissor work, and the Ibanez pedals also were perfectly fitted. These pads are held into the base of the board by four wide, very thin-headed thumbscrews.

The cable run is a sheet metal "tunnel" an inch and a quarter wide between the pedal board area and the handle area (which has several "empty" spots, very handy for a tuner and other small odds and ends).
It is covered by a sheet metal plate - two actually, one about 3/4 of the length, and a seperate on for the last 1/4 of the length. These, too, are held in place by thumbscrews. There are plenty of "side" cutouts on the sheet metal tunnel to allow for almost any imaginable cable routing situation you might have. The end result is a study in tidiness and good protection of the cables. The 1000mW power supply will easily drive six pedals simultaneously (if that's your idea of a good time). I detect no tonal degradation at all from any pedal in using this board. Boss includes a handful of various patch cables of different lengths, all of which seem to be of good quality. My overall impression (I have had it four months) is one of very *well thought out* design, and rugged construction.

Sound Quality : 9
As I said, I can detect no extraneous noise or degradation of tone through this board at all. Others may disagree, but sometimes people hear what they are *convinced* they are going to hear. However, I will only give it "9" here, as perhaps *I* just can't hear some alteration it makes to the "in vs. out" sound. ;>)

Reliability : 10
If the reliability of this board is the same as Boss effects pedals, it will last a lifetime of hard use. Boss is famous for it's bulletproof construction.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Mo personal experience here.

Overall Rating : 9
Best overall rating I can give it is this: I really wish I'd bought it a lot sooner.

I dont see what Boss have achieved much above the BC6, apart from better hidden/secured cables and more flexibility in choice of pedals. You still need a Master Pedal to control basic on/off - if you need to set up a song quickly, there is no opportunity to have a by pass! VERY DUMB! If they had included a built in by pass it would be much better. The power supply is improved at 1000ma, but there is still an outboard transformer to contend with. So youy might find yourself doing a lot of unnecessary pedal dancing if your setups for different songs varies (no master switch). I'm very disappointed. Also, the damn thing takes up more room, there is a lot of wasted space. Even if ypu want a PMS6 (master supply/switch), you cant use it, you need to basically buy an A/B box (so why buy this bloody thing?). STICK TO YOUR BCB6, WITH AN ABILITY TO BY PASS PEDALS THAT ARE ON.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
N/A - I guess you lose some tone with all the cable connectors.

Reliability : 9
Looks rugged, although the hinges look a bit flimsier.

Never had to use this.
