Very easy to setup, the manual tells you what you need to know and not much more. If you can setup pedals, you can set this up.

The cables provided don't seem to suck up my tone, but you can always benefit from the best cables you can afford.

The latches on the front seem to be thinner than the ones on the previous cases. One cool feature is the addition of molded holes by the latches so you can tie it closed in case the sliding latches break, and they probably will eventually. These cases are famous for that. The rear hinge is plastic and not the riveted metal ones of old. I worry about the rear hinge breaking and if that happens you're F*#@ED. No backup necessary because you can tape this thing closed and be on your way.

I play the blues and rock, metal etc. My number one is an MIA Strat plus an Epiphone Dot played through a half stack Marshall tsl 100. Don't really need the pedals but I'm a Boss collector/fanatic. A pedal board is a must if you like setting up quickly and saving your settings and I can't thing of anything better than Boss.

Put your pedals in > Connect whole board to your ouput(s) [Yes it works in stereo] > Plug your guitar in and away you go.
Easy.
It even has a built in power supply and supplied adapter!
The pedals are easy to mount and the cabling easy to do. The cables are hidden away under a strip than screws down, rather than clips down (like on the BCB-6).
The foam plates that hold the pedals also screw down.
The lid was a bit hard to remove at first.

It's built as good as the old BCB-6.
They last virtually forever.

I've waited years for something like this.
I sold my BCB-6 and bought this instead.
Its better than the BCB-6 as the togh foam pads are precut to take both old Boss Pedals or newer Twin Pedals. You also get a spare foam pad to cut to you own pedal needs (eg non-boss stuff).
You can also fit some Volume/Wah pedals in it too.
Unless you want to chain more than 5 or 6 pedals this is perfect.
