I will add to previous comments only. One nice improvement is the ommission of the plastic strip which was a pain to take off and replace and also used to be hard against the DC chord plugs.

Sounds kind of plasticky, especially when hit with a blunt instrument. Sorry about that, I'll be serious from now on.

I've heard of catches falling off but I've never had a problem.

I recently had to buy a TU2 Tuner as I couldn't resist the flashing lights and DC output for other pedals. As I examined it in the car as I was driving home (yes I'm an Octopus - sorry there I go again) I noticed that the DC output jack is somewhat offset from the centre of the pedal and wondered if it would go in the BCB6G. Fortunately the 6G rear gaps have been widened and all of the connections fit perfectly. Note you would not be able to do this with the standard BCB6 - I've tried it. The only problem with this device is that it seems a shame to "pollute" it with non Boss pedals. My set up is TU2 -> PH3 -> MT2 (for pre pitch/modulation effects only) -> PS5 -> HF2 -> CE5 into Boogie MK1V or Marshall.

i use this board jsut as a pedal board, i don't od many gigs, since my band started only about 4 months ago, but i have been playing for almost a year. I play bass, so i have i odb-3, geb-7, syb-3, lmb-3, and a ceb-3 and before all of that i have a cry baby bass wah pedal, its really good at transporting pedals from one place to another, i knwo, thats what it was meant for, but its great, u get to the stage, take off the cover, plug it in, and ur ready to gig.....its a great thing to have if u have more then one pedal, and i have 5 plus a wah.....

10! Plug 'n play, baby! It's just a box, right? There is a manual, but come on! You put the pedals in the box! This is the new BCB-6G, an upgrade of the old, flawed, and discontinued BCB-6. More on this soon... Holds six pedals, with two extra compartments for tuner, AC adapter, capo, picks, whatever.

The BCB-6G comes with five BOSS noiseless angled patch cables to daisy-chain six pedals together and one longer patch to return the signal back to the source pedal and create a loop (if you are using the BOSS PSM-5 power supply/master switch). My setup is all boss pedals: the PSM-5, a CS-3 compressor, a DS-1 distortion, the AC-2 acoustic simulator, a BF-2 flanger, and a DD-3 digital delay. The noisless cables work well.

The BCB-6G is made of rugged plastic, and the shell can separate in two to be used as a floorboard as well. The base has rubber feet to keep it in place if you are using it as a floorboard, and the lid is padded with foam to prevent the pedals from shaking around in transport.

The BCB-6G is a new model of the old BCB-6, a similar case with several design flaws. Whereas the BCB-6's compartments could ONLY fit serially connected BOSS pedals, the BCB-6G is designed to give you a little leeway. Each compartment is custom-fit for a standard BOSS pedal by gripping the corners with little plastic "horns". However, you can shave the horns down with nail file or such to accomodate a similar-sized pedal from another manufacturer like DOD or VOX. You can also prop up the pedals on these "horns" to make the non-serial input/output jacks more accessible. This eliminates the need for the little rubber feet that needed to be used for the BCB-6 to elevate the pedals, like the ones that come with the NS-2 or LS-2. Now, you can elevate any pedal in any combination without having to scrounge around for little things to prop the pedals up. The spaces in between the pedals have been expanded and the patch cables are now longer than the old ones so you can accomodate them to any jacks on the pedals and still have room to add your own connections (the inability to do this with the BCB-6 was a MAJOR design flaw for anyone who wanted to use it with the LS-2 line selecter, or any non-serial connections). BOSS has done a smashing job in creating the BCB-6G, as it fixes all the problems with the old model (for further description of the old design flaws, see Harmony Central's user reviews for the BCB-6!). The price is a little steep, but it is a strong, solidly built protective case which can double as a floorboard with proper accessorization. Plus, it comes with six top-of-the-line patch cables which would run you around $45 anyway.
