Two knob job, how much more easier can a chorus be? Very easy to dial in good sounds

Sound Quality : 9
Fat chorus sound. The whole range of the pedal controls yeild great tone. This unit seems to roll off some highs to make it very fat and warm. This is one of the main pieces of gear to obtain that David Gilmour (of Pink Floyd) thick clean tone, like the live version of Shine On You Crazy Diamnond. I use two of them. One is used as a normal chorus before my preamp, and the other is used on the left channel of my stereo cab to widen the imaging. They both do an excellent job. Very little noise is present, many if you use an adapter. Don't expect to get a stereo sound though, this pedal is mono. Any other questions, just e-mail me.

Reliability : 10
One pedal I bought used is in absolute mint condition. The only thing that could be considered a problem is the LED is dim. The other is a little beat, it's been giged for 10 years. What do you expect? It works just as good as the mint one!

Never had to deal with Boss Customer Service.

Overall Rating : 10
Well, I bought two of them. I would not have bought even one if I didn't believe that it was 110% good.

Just has two knobs: Rate & Depth. You can't get much simpler than that. BTW - Some of the other CE-2 reviews mention 4 knobs, or stereo outputs but I think they are getting the CE-2 confused with later models..

Sound Quality : 8
Nice subtle chorus effect which I like much better than the other digital units I've tried (Yamaha, Alesis, etc.). Nice and quiet when it's plugged in too although I got some horrendous noise when I plugged it into my NS-2's power supply so it's running on batteries until I can figure out the problem.

Reliability : 9
I've never had a problem with any of my BOSS pedals. The CE-2 is good on batteries too.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've never had to contact them and I suppose the warranty has probably expired on the pedal anyways.

Overall Rating : 8
I like this pedal alot. It's a really great value, especially when purchased used. As I mentioned, it's better than the digital units I've tried and it sure is a lot cheaper as well.

Although, this is the only chorus effect that I have owned, I would consider this to be a simple pedal to use. Three knobs--rate, depth and mode(mono or stereo). I bought this effect used and so I haven't seen the manual. I don't think that you would need one.

Sound Quality : 8
There's a little bit of noise when it's on, and there's a little jolt when you turn in on and you signal is clean. The effects are quite good and you can get a really cool effect if you turn the rate and depth controls all the way down and use distortion--it doubles or widens your signal--I just found that out.

Reliability : 10
One can depend on this pedal without hesitation--I would definately bring it to a gig w/o a backup--it runs forever on batteries and never shorts out or drops the signal.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't ever had to deal with Boss--that tells you something.

Overall Rating : 10
I would buy it again, although I don't see I would have to--I don't think that it will break down anytime soon, and I really doubt that I could find it--it's kind of and old pedal--I've never seen any others--but if you can find it--buy it--it's quite versatile for only three knobs and a stereo output. I almost asked for a DOD chorus pedal--I'm glad that I didn't--this is truly a great pedal. I've recorded countlessly with it--I only wish that it had an EQ level on it like newer Boss Chorus pedals. Buy the Boss CE-2 Chorus.

FOUR KNOBS, YOU CAN'T MISS. THERES A MANUAL BUT I FOUND YOU DONT NEED IT. I FOUND IF YOU HAVE AN EFFECTS LOOP IT GIVES YOU YOUR BEST DEFINITION

Sound Quality : 9
SOUND QUALITY IS GREAT YOU GET VERY LITTLE NOISE COMPARED TO ALOT OF THE PEDALS OUT THERE. JUST TWEEK THE KNOBS AND YOU CAN GET COLD AND CRISP OR WARM AND LUSH.STEREO CHORUS IS A NICE ADDED BONUS.

Reliability : 10
THE MOST SOLID PEDAL I OWN AND IT DOSENT EAT UP BATTERIES. I USE IT WITH OUT BACKUP. IT WILL SURVIVE JUST ABOUT ANYHTING YOU THROW AT IT INCLUDING A FLOOD.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I HAVE OWNED THIS PEDAL FOR A BIT BETTER THAN FOUR YEARS AND NEVER NEEDED CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Overall Rating : 9
IT WAS GIVIN TO ME AS A GIFT, BUT I WOULD BY IT WITH OUT A SECOND THOUGHT. IT IS ONE OF THE BEST CHORUSING PEDALS OUT THERE. I LIKE THE SOUND OF THE BOSS PEDAL OVER THE CHORUSING AVALIABLE IN ANY OF THE YAMAHA RACK UNITS OR ANY OF THE STOMP BOXES. THE ONLY CHORUSING OUT THERE BETTER IS ON THE DIGITEC RACK UNITS. I HAVE SEE THEM IN MUSIC SHOPS AND THEY SEEM A BIT EXPENSIVE BUT IT WORTH IT.
