Lots of features means learning curve. This pedal has lots of features. I am using the mono/stereo capability for a range of useful connections, and driving my rig in stereo; think Bill Frisell options for bassist as well as guitar.

Excellent. The main event is times delay - many of them possible given full features set. Delays are rich and toneful. This is a quality output device for guitar and bass. I've been playing guitar and bass, as an amateur for almost 40 years. This pedal has been very useful in helping me reach new levels of experimentation in local jazz projects featuring bass, guitar and my own untalent version of what Charlie Hunter does well, balancing different sounds and rythms. Highly recommended.

While it isn't difficult to get a good sound out of this unit some of the features aren't exactly obvious. Sometimes especially when I started using it I had trouble getting the delay length right. The tap feature took some getting used to because it was difficult (for me at least) to make the led stop flashing. But just getting a basic delay isn't too bad.

The sound of this pedal is pretty good. I especially love the reverse delay and warp features. Craziness, but in a good way. Some say that it sounds metallic, but I personally don't hear that. I suppose you could save your pennies and get an analog delay, but this thing works just fine for most everything I do.

It's Boss.

I've used this with a variety of different styles and guitars. All of them sound great. I wish the tap feature was just a little easier to use and there are a few excruciatingly long delays that for me have no use whatsoever. But if you're looking for a quality stompbox delay that does what its supposed to with a couple extra bells and whistles the DD-6 is a great choice.

Very easy to get the right sound. When I was looking for my delay, I tried a DD-20 and it took me far too long to set the damn thing up. With this, I've changed settings in between songs in a matter of seconds and it still sounds awesome.

Used with a Peavey Bandit 112 and Ibanez SZ series guitar (humbuckers), sounds great through a clean channel. With effects level setting higher you can do some really good U2 styly stuff (if you swing that way), but I find this pedal is best for the subtle types. There is a bit of noise, but that could well be my leads.

Reliability : 10
Never had a problem, apart from the battery-eating, which I'd expect from a delay anyway. Best thing is to use a power supply, which handily, this little beast has got. Plus, it's a Boss; you could throw this thing off the top of a building and have no problem gigging the next day.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't had to encounter the customer services yet, and doubt i will, but they're a BIG company, so I'm sure it'd be good.

I play mostly blues (Clapton/Hendrix etc) and Indie (Jeff Buckley, Doves, Coldplay etc) and this pedal surpasses my needs. The reverse delay function is good for a laugh and the hold function (5 seconds worth of multi-tracking basically) is handy for smaller groups and great for some obscure soloing. If you want a good quality delay pedal but don't want to splash out on something huge, I'd recommend this. If you're considering a DD-3, I urge you to reconsider this as a major potential; a few quid more, but twice as much scope and better features.
