Ease of Use : 10
experiment with it and you'll find a sound you like

Sound Quality : 9
To me it sounds very good when put between guitar and amp. I don't use it in the amps fx loop because I think it makes the amp sound flat.
Between guitar and amp I turn the bass a little down en the mids up (on the ge-7) this makes it all come to life.

Reliability : 10
I'm on stage every week and this pedal has never ever let me down in 7 years of gigs.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
it's not to expensive and it sounds great. I will buy it again when this one get's old or stolen. if it doesn't sound good to you either your guitarpick-up or amp sucks.

Easy to use.

Sound Quality : 1
Noisy as hell. May be I should do some modifications to it , to make it work.

Reliability : 1
I think you'd need to have modification done to it to make it sound good.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never needed them.

Overall Rating : 1
If it were stolen, I'd thank the person and give them free guitar lessons for life !!!!. I've been playing 29 years, I play Neo-Classical-Metal, Thrash, Blues and Fusion. The unit makes the tone thin and shrilly.

As easy as other EQ pedals ;)

Sound Quality : 10
My setup is jem/grg through Boss TU2 - Morley Bad horsie 2 - Line6 Uber metal - Digitech digidelay - Boss GE7. I'm using it for the mid boost during solo, I've never heard of any noise or hum that some have claim.

Reliability : 10
Like many have said it's a boss.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 10
Overall I'm giving the GE7 a 10, I've never like boss products except for their tuner and this EQ pedal, All of boss products can't challenge upcoming companies such as line 6 or digitech, but this GE7 is here to stay with me, If it got lost I'll definitely buy a new one.

Ease of Use : 9
Easy enough to use if you have any knowledge of EQ's.

Sound Quality : 9
This is the second time ive owned this pedal. I returned it the first time because I really didnt know what I wanted. I gave a MXR 6 band EQ a try but it didnt work well in my amps effects loop,,some sort of thumping sound happened when I added too much bass. This didnt happen with the Boss. I use this in the effects loop of my mesa boogie rectoverb and it works great. Ive tried it with a peavey classic 50 also and it seemed to actually quiet both amps a bit.Not as much as a noise suppressor but it help. Added benifit I guess. The pedal is not noisy at all,,,note, like I said in the above, ease of use column..You need a bit of knowledge when using these otherwise you will get noise like other people have said. It is best to cut frequencies with these.
If you go and raise every level to the max you will get noise. If you raise the volume level,,far right slider, up too far you will get noise. If you decide you only want to raise the levels, then lower the volume level to where your amp would be without the pedal.

Reliability : 10
Its a Boss

Customer Support : 9
Never spoke with them

Overall Rating : 9
I havent tried every EQ pedal out there,,but then again they should all pretty much do the same thing. Some have 6 bands,,others have 7 and some even have 10. I personally dont see the need for a 10band.
I mentioned above that I did try the MXR 6 abd EQ. Other than the noise I got through the loop of my amp I found not having a volume level on the unit bugged the hell out of me. So to me thats important. The Boss seems to do just fine for me so I have decided to keep it..Now Im happy.

Takes a little tweaking, like most products. But once it's there, this thing is tops!

Sound Quality : 9
A little noise in the treble channels. Here's the thing- I play through a 1970 Silverface Twin. With the ground switch on, noisy as could be. Without the ground, no noise to speak of except for the high end treble.

Reliability : 10
It's a boss. Yes, I would use without a backup.

I play old school Jam style music. I play a Fender Stratosonic with Di Marzio Humbuckers. The Fender is a decent guitar, but it lacks some of the tonal qualities of a heavier guitar like a les paul. This evens out the playing field. I can model my sound and it is absolutely incredible. I don't know how I went so long without it.

Ease of Use : 6
Its kinda easy when u get used to it. Your always gonna be messing around with the faders and constantley moving them up and down but i think its really effective.

Sound Quality : 9
If you can control the feedback this things is perfect for guitar or bass. I would def buy another one but I really wanted the green one but that one is rare. The battery lasts for a long time.

Reliability : 10
Totaly dependable, would not need a backup although it does sound good when ur using 2 at the same time example band muse song hysteria

Customer Support : No Opinion
Havent had any complaints although i would assume it would be hard to talk to them

Overall Rating : 9
Great for experimental music. Been playing for about 5 years. I would def buy this again, i got lucky on it i got a deal $25 on ebay. I would like some more tone knobs on it, it only has one and it does a good job but i think one more would make it perfect but i have a equalizer pedal so it all works out for me.

Easy enough to use. Seven sliders and a gain slider.

Very good sound quality. Got it to add some EQ to a Fender Pro amp.

Never any problems with Boss pedals.

No idea.

Overall Rating : 10
I got this pedal to add some EQ to my Fender Pro amp which only has a volume and tone knob. I was surprised. I recently put a Fishmam active resonator pickup in my National Style O. It works fine but has a lot of treblle in this little amp. Not only did it solve the lack of miid and bass problem it increased the output gain ten fold. I plugged in a Les Paull Jr into the same amp with it. Wow. (The amp has been modified a bit with a Celestion Vintage 10 speaker and some different tubes) Its now a ten inch monster. Before the EQ I could play the amp up to 7 and 8. Now 2 on the volume does it. I play mostly acoustic guitars. I shoulld have bought this a long time ago.

7 sliders that are clearly marked. Move them up or down if you want the sound to go up or down. Simple.

Sound Quality : 10
Setup:
Peavey Horizon II > Boss TU-2 > Dunlop crybaby wah > Boss SD-1 > Digitech RP80 > Boss GE-7 > Peavey Horizon II

Very clear sounding, I use it as a mid and volume boost for solos. I've heard this doesn't sound good with tube amps, but I don't seem to have this problem. Then again, my amp takes pedals very well. I've also heard that these are noisy, but I didn't find that at all either. Of course if you crank the volume to max its going to be noisy (like any pedal) but other than that, there really isn't any noticable buzz.

Reliability : No Opinion
Its a Boss. Of course its indestructable.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with.

Overall Rating : 10
This pedal is amazing in my setup, like I said I use it as a mid and volume boost for solos, and it does the job well. Without this pedal I either had to drown everyone else out the whole song and be good for the solo, or be at a good level the whole song and too quiet in the solo. I would definately purchase this pedal again if lost or stolen.
