Ease of Use : 9
everything can be tweaked. once you figure it out and get used to it, it is very easy to use. the manual is also good

Sound Quality : 9
This thing has amazing sound. There are so many different sounds and you can tweak all of them in every different way. i am using it with a 120 watt crate amp, but i sometimes also plug it into my computer and record. The one annoying thing is the 1/4 second gap in switching patches.I can deffinitley get every sound i want.

Reliability : 9
its boss... it's not going anywhere despite the plastic casing. i deffinitly trust it enough to use it w/o a backup.

Customer Support : 10
never had to deal with them. it has always worked very well, so i'll give 'em a 10

Overall Rating : 10
i play mostly metal. This is a very good pedal for me. I researched a lot of other pedals and for the price this one is excellent. i would buy it again if it was stolen and i couldn't get it back. It is nice to be able to plug it into my computer and it is a very useful tool. i would reccomend it to anyone.

Fuck 'em.

Overall Rating : 10
Very, very nice. If there was any trouble with other users, it is because they do not how to use effects pedals correctly. Boss is the best you can buy. And for pretty much, the 2nd best pedal they've got, there's no reason to put this down, unless you suck yourself. If you're willing to pay about 400 bucks instead, go GT-6. Otherwise, if you even want to mess with your guitar a bit, get this. You can't go wrong.

It takes some time to get the sounds you want, but if you take your time experimenting with it is fun. Editing the patches is very easy; I needed the manual in the beginning, but not for long. Thing is that the system with the knobs is far more easier than for example the system of the GT3.

Sound Quality : 4
All the effects are quite good. I liked the delay mode very much. Maybe the expression/volume pedal is a bit too sensitive and weak (it fell back a few times). But the real problem is: the distortion and overdrive modes suck. Bigtime. It's not possible to get any good sound out of it, and I've been tweaking with it a long time. The amp-sim. is also fairly useless. Maybe I should have tried putting other (distortion) pedals before it, but I don't think that would work. It doesn't have an effects loop like the GT3, I think.

Reliability : No Opinion
I think you can depend on it. Otherwise I would never use a multiFX to gig.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 5
Normally I play a tele through a CS2, OD3, DS2, GE7 and CE2. I play alternitive rock, for over 4 years. I wanted more fx, like delay, flanger,... and a volume and wah wah. I'm glad i only borrowed it, cause the fact that it has no good distortion.

I like hoobastank, Incubus and Audiovent's sound and it's really easy to get the right sound.. some knob editing.. and you got it!! The instruction manual is great and they even gave us blank forms for user effects! Pedal switches are close to each other and if you use big boots you may push two switches at a time; some practice with it eliminates the problem.

Sound Quality : 8
I use a Jay Turser Les Paul and a Marshall 50w and the sound is really cool. I owned a Digitech RP-7 and the sound is definitively better. Every effects sounds perfect and clear to my ears once they are well configured. I easily did the effect of the main riff of Hoobastank's Crawling in the dark and the beginning of Incubus' Pardon me, they aren't perfect though but maybe some adjustments could bring it near perfection

Reliability : 8
It is made of plastic but HARD plastic. Since I just bought it I wouldn't bring a backup for my next gig cause it really look reliable.. I made around ten practices yet and I still didn't have any problems with it and I don't think it will happen soon.

Customer Support : No Opinion
nothing to say yet, didn't use customer support

Overall Rating : 9
I think my style perfectly matches the effects of the ME-33. The backlit screen make it look professionnal and it shows every effect used in a program so if something sounds weird, you can easily verify your settings without having to get into the programming thing. Compared to the Korg AX1500G and the Digitech RP300 (same price range), the ME-33 is the best choice for any serious guitarist.

Ease of Use : 9
This box is as easy as 'beginer' multi effect. It will be the best if we can (should be) spent some time to sweep the Owner's Manual to get its optimal performance. I spent my first hours with the manual, and it really worth my time. Editing pathces is pretty easy, between stompboxes and GTs. Thanks to six quick edit knobs, really intuitive as stomp-boxes with tons of capability you may expected.

Sound Quality : 10
Simple: Excellent! My set are BB King Lucille with mellow strings (0.11-0.52)>ME-33>Peavey Scorpion or Aria Acoustic Nylon Stinger>ME-33>PA or direct to DAW via computer.
The sound is great both for my electric and acoustic setting. No noise is over-noticeable for normal use.

Modulations are always sound gorgeous provided you're not overdo them. Delay and reverb are crystal clear with plenty of tweak ability. OD/Dist. have warm and thick analog sensation as their stomp-boxes "BOSS old-timer" brothers. 24 Bit AD/DA quality is proven with the right setup. Compressor usage is recommended to boost and stabilize your tone. Lexicon, VF-1 is in higher league but this little-smart box fulfill my expectation of a good quality of natural and processed sound.

I'm listening various type of music, mainly fusion. Pat Metheny Group, UZEB, Acoustic Alchemy style is incoming session to go.
Trying to get that mellow-dark Pat's tone with that kind of his signature modulation, Delay and natural Reverb. This thing help me to approach that tone, very close! (Off course! We need that PM-100, Lexicon..and so on..mostly hard practice..just to get Pat's tone-but I can't wait that long). For electric set up this babe give me bulk of options to create those fusion OD/Dist. tone, for Acoustic lover, these natural reverb and nice delay surprising me either, great!.

Mine is China's made, BTW, sales-man at my vendor told me that different 'version' (Japan, Taiwan?) has (slightly) different sound quality, tone thickness? I'm not sure.

The Wah could be thicker and better, maybe just my setting, not sure. Blank sound between patch was not annoy me yet, but it may be fixed on ME-33-II, hopefully.

Reliability : 10
Plastic. But this is a BOSS. I trust in it. Eight should be fair enough. However, gig with it (or with other boards) without back-up is not a best idea. My band-mate's 505II will be a fair back-up for me. Thanks' in advance Den! he..he..

Customer Support : 8
I believe BOSS has good respond to any complaint. Speaking to my self: but not around here, don't know yet. Eight is my best bet. Hello people...

Overall Rating : 9
This babe is great for fusion to funk to jazz lovers. Also good for my Acoustic setting. Natural Traditional Jazz tone can be produced perfectly by this little smart-box as long as you set it smartly.

I've been playing guitar and bass for the last 10 years. Never disappointed by those BOSS stomp-box, I think this one will survive too. Considering the sound.. this is a huge boom for the money. If your concern is merely SOUND QUALITY, you don't need to buy those complicated-fancy-$$$$$ multi-effect. ME-33 will give you the better option. I can't give 10 'cause there's always some thing better, newer and cheaper out there. But this thing won't fool you. One more thing, the Expresion pedal is a great extra.

This pedal was super easy to get a sound out of. I had past experience with a Multi Effects processor so I found it pretty easy to use this pedal. It was a lot different than my past DOD processor, but once I got into it it was way easier to use. Editing is a breeze but really in depth. You need to know what you're at to use this pedal. The manual is awesome. It even gives you a complete breakdown of all the preset patches on the processor. It is very detailed and makes it easy to figure out how to use this awesome processor. My unit is fairly new, and I'm pretty used to it now and have made several effects which I use gigging.

Sound Quality : 10
My setup consists of a Les Paul Custom and a Peavey studio 112 amp. This Processor suits it. Of course I believe this processor suits any setup really. Very felxible. It isn't moisy, no excess noise. I lvoe it. The auto riff effect and humanizer don't seem like practical effects though. Probably things that'll never be used only for a laugh. The other effects were everything I hoped for. Awesome variety of distortions, the wah is great with certain distortion (probably my favortie combo - wah/distortion). THe clean effets aren't one bit distorted, and the Acoustic gutiar simulator is amazing, gives you a whole new sound for clean effects. BOSS is renowned for leading the industry with effects so nothing is really bad on this processor/

Reliability : 9
I use this all the time gigging. You have to be wild to beat this up performing, or jump on it or something. It is plastic so it's not indestructible, but use it right and it'll last a long time. I never have a backup while performing. It's dependable, As long as you have a power supply, which is what I use. I've never tried a set with it running on just batteries so I wouldn't be able to say how long they last. But no problems yet. Leave it to BOSS, they know what they're at.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 9
I play many different styles. I play Fast Rock, Blues, slower melodic stuff, and I play in a worship band at my church. This pedal suits all my needs. I have patches for all the different styles and I'm a very picky guitarist. VERY picky. I play lead mostly and I'm currently in a trio band. These effects fill it in very nicely. My first processor, the one before this one, was a DOD VGS-50. It doesn't even compare to this BOSS, and it's in about the same "class" of processors. Not only are the ME-33's sounds way better and cleaner (I found the DOD's effects to be distorted) but the ease of use is 100 times better.
I love many different things about it. The wah distortion, the variety of distortions, and the acoustic simulator seem to be my faveorite things. THere isn't anything I wish it had, I'm still trying to use all the different effects and editing things on it as it is. It has everything. It definitly helps me create music by giving me a variety of sounds to play with. Definitly not a beginner gutiar player's processor. You need to know what you are doing and the theory of effects and EQs and what they are used for to make any sense of editing. But it is the pedal to buy. awesome design since htey upgraded the ME-30. I won't give it a 10, because I'm sure for hundreds and hundreds of dollars more you could get a little bit better pedal (whihc makes no sense) but it will get a nine. This will be my pedal for along time. And If I say it's good, you can be sure it's good.

Pretty Easy. I plugged it in and was messing around with it in a few minutes. To do some of the cooler stuff and what not it may take a little timeing in reading the manual. That was very helpful even if you have had expirencecs with effects such as this one

Sound Quality : 9
AMAZING. Every BOSS pedal you could want is on here. The only bad thing is the Wah. It's ok not much mid but the treb and the bass are good on it. Everything else is just amazing if you can't get the tone you want out of it you a moron.

Reliability : 10
Hard plastic metal bottom. but yet again it is BOSS. Only thing is make sure the batteries are new or your useing the AC Adaptor.

Great tones to be had, this baby can do it all. Very low noise level. Effects are equal to the individual pedals I have, except the chorus(I have a CE-2).

Great deal if your looking for a variaty of sounds. I tried the Digitech Rp200's, Zoom etc. This is the best of the bunch IMO. Only wish would be a metal housing, of course the price would go up. Glad I found this one.

It so easy. Only things are turning a few knobs. Baclit lcd screen is big and usefull. You can see more comfortable what you do at its screen.

It has incredible sound quality according to its price. Distortions are good. Modulations are so real and clean. Only wah is not so good. I use external wah pedal (crybaby) with me-33.

I have been playing guitar for 8 years. Me-33 is my favorite effect units. I used Digitech and Zoom but Me-33 has really quality effects. Also I can't compare me-33 to digitech and zoom.

Me-33 has only one negative note : after sale no customer support and no web page including patches etc.. But I found only one web site about me-33 : ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bossme33/ ) This is really good. But I want more web site about me-33.
