Boss MT-2 Metal Zone

It's very easy to use. You can get all types off Overdrive/Distortion sounds off it. I even played Sex Pistols songs with it, and it did'nt sound metal at all! It's a good manual following it.

It's a little bit noisy when it's on and you don't play. The distortion is really great!

I suggest using an adapter but it work very well with battery to. It's very hard build. You can throw it into a wall!

This pedal is sweet! It ranges to all types of distortion and overdrive. You can get any type of sound you wish on this little box. The only drawback is that the frequency knobs are little and can be a pain to twist sometimes. This is the one and only thing that is slightly wrong with this pedal. The suggestion setting that come with the pedal are great, and they help you get the right sound you want.

You can be quiet as a mouse or loud as a lion. The effects are consistintly great. The distortion and overdrive effects are sweet all the time.

The always dependable BOSS quality is on your side. You could throw this out of a plane and it would still be 100%.

It totally kicks all other distortion effects pedals out there into space. It sounds VERY nice, the factory recommended settings are pretty cool, too. I had to fool with the thing for about three months before I finally got the sound I was looking for. Nothing else I've used comes close.

It gives the normal HMMMMMM noise when you click it on, but other than that it's almost perfect. The variety of effects you can get out of such a small box are unimaginable to any human being. It's totally awesome.

I would definitely buy it again. I don't see how you could survive without it, whether you play metal, classic rock, punk, or any other form of rock and roll that uses distortion.

Easy to use if you like the manuel`s tunings. But if you want to have your own sound, you`ll have to work it, (but it`s worthy!!)

Kinda noisy. But there`s no problem if you have a Noise Gate.

Unbrakable; It`s made of metal. It sucks battery very quikely, though.

Probably the best Distortion Box in the world. With that baby, you can go from a Van Halen sound to a Slayer sound. So go get it RIGHT NOW !!!!!!!

This is the killer pedal. It's got 4 knobs with the middle two doubled up as a parametric EQ. The outside knobs are level (left) and distortion (right). To get the sound you want, adjust the level to match the output of the amp when the effect is off, crank up the distortion, and then mess with the parametric until you get the desired tone. For overdrive, turn the volume down a bit on the guitar. For smooth metal, about 3/4 distortion is the trick.

The pedal is extremely quiet for what it does. If you crank the distortion to 10 expect a little hum. The quality of the effect is tremendous. You can emulate a lot of sounds.

It's a Boss pedal. Cat couldn't scratch it.

I'VE NEVER PLAYED THROUGH AN EFFECT THAT SOUND SO AWESOME. THE DISTORTION SOUNDS LIKE HELL!! YOU CAN GET THE TOTAL HAEVY METAL SOUND BY BYPASSING THE MIDS, YOU CAN GET A FUZZ TONE, AND YOU EVEN MELLOW IT OUT FOR SOME OLD TIME ROCK AND ROLL. THE MANUAL HELPS YOU ON THE 4 EQS, VOL, AND DIST LEVEL KNOBS AND ALSO GIVES SOME SAMPLE SETTINGS TO GET YOU STARTED

WHEN THE DISTORTION IS PUT TO THE MAX THERE IS SOME OSCILATION, BUT THATS ONLY HAPPENS THRU MY STRAT, MY HUMBUCKING GUITAR DOES HAVE ANY AUDIBLE OSCILLATING. OVERALL IT SO MANY GREAT SOUNDING SETTINGS I CANT SAY A NEGATIVE THING ABOUT IT

ONLY HAD FOR A MONTH, NO PROBLEMS AND MY EXPERIENCE WITH BOSS HAS BEEN GOOD IN THE RELIABLITY DEPARTMENT

I LOVE THIS EFFECT AND ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT INSPIRED ME TO WRITE SONGS THAT I WOULD NEVER HAVE THOUGHT OF WITHOUT IT

I think the pedal is somewhat difficult to use compared to other pedals. But you can get a lot more sounds out of this than most other pedals. The manual does give some good settings thought

I'm not playing through the best guitar, amp, and pickups, but with setup I get alot of treble. When you turn down the treble and turn up the bass you get mud for tone. The pedal is versitile, it can emulate some compression and fuzz sounds. However if you wanted a real good compression fuzz sound i would recommend getting seperate pedals.

I dont think I would buy it again. It is a very loud peddal that doest work to well with dorm neighbors. I think the sound is to metalic for me. It would probably sound alot better with a little better setup than what I have. Again, I think there is a little to much treble and nut enough punch for me.

It's easy to turn the knobs but it takes time to find the sound you want.

It's versatile. You can get almost any kind of distortion out of it, and especially metal rhythms sounds great.

It's a Boss, but it drains battery.

It's maybe the most versatile distortion pedal on the market, so if you play different kinds of music, buy this. Only lead tones could be a bit fatter.

It's semi easy to use, the only detail is that it has controls over more controls in one pot.

The sound is very bad, I've tried a couple of them and all sounded like mud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come to think of it the sound is horrible!!!

I would never buy another one, I compared it to the RAT and the SUPER FEEDBACKER and much better especially the RAT which is the one I currently use and will use until I die.

It is as easy to use as any other distortion petal.

It is a good all round distortion unit. I don't know why anyone would need a more powerful distortion unit. You can also get some warm and fuzzy sounds from it when you turn the distortion down and play with the EQ. When it is on the is a litte backround noise, but that might just be my single coil pickups.

It is built very sturdy, even an elefant can use it.If you went to a gig with one bring an extra set of batteries.

I would buy it again in a minute. It has a 3 band EQ with the mid band being of the parametric type. The manual has some great settings in it. I think the overdrive setting sound like a Tube Screamer.
