Ease of Use : 9
This pedal is very easy use, making it possible to get the sound you want very quickly. The manual is helpfull because it details the operation of each feature and give some preset settings to experiment with.

Sound Quality : 8
It is very noisy, but it sounds great. It is the perfect distorsion pedal for a bass for its price. The 2-band EQ is very helpful in determining some characteristics of the sound.

Reliability : 8
It always works. This pedal is a rough man and can take quite a bit of stompng and abuse.

Overall Rating : 10
I would buy this pedal again in an instant. It was one of the better purchases I have made for my bass. The only problem I have found ith it is the battery life, but that can be alleviated by getting thepower-supply that plugs in. I compared the Boss with several DOD producats and DOD just lacked the same complete sound. Boss sounded much, much better, with clearer distorsion and easier to use controls. As far as music, I really bought the pedal to play Metallica's 'Anesthesia' and that was it. Since then, howver, I have found so many more good uses for it, be it for jazzing up my playing style a bit or playing some wicked metal...

Twist a few dials, experiment a little and you WILL find a sound you like. The manual is extreamily helpful due to the diagrams of various dial positions and the sound which acompanies them.

Sound Quality : 9
Yes it's noisy, but of thats what you want this is for you. The distortion always sounds great and prcise

Reliability : 10
Solid metal construction. Roseanne could stomp this thing and it would still remain in tact.

I visited the web-site page for BOSS. They sent me a whole butt-load of info. in the mail, because I don't have an e-mail site as of yet. I just got it so I can't comment on any repairs.

Overall Rating : 10
I may not know much about effects however I know a good sound when I hear one. I got the iniciative to buy this because of another rating of the same product so I strongly advise you to check out his/her comment. It worked for me. I'm convinced.
