Simply...the V-Wah is a awesome wah pedal and the sound which it produces is sweet and sound like the original wahs which is models after.

I'm playing a DC400T through a Boss DS-1 and a Marshall Jackhammer and the V-Wah into a Line 6 Spider212. I definitly enjoy the sound which I get out of it. The distortion sound off the pedal is alright but its extra.

Yeah I can depend on the V-wah because I thought it was plastic or something at first but its built like a freaking tank! And no I would not buy another one for back up cuz it cost me quite some money.

Nope I don't think I'll ever need to deal with the company anyways cuz they make badass pedals that sound awesome.

I play rock, pretty much everything within that category, such as Alternative, metal, heavy-metal, hard rock, etc. Been playing for 3+ some years now and have been looking for some wah pedals to buy and come across this one which is probably the first and last wah I'll ever buy.

Easy to use, but not in a live situation. This pedal seems to be more for recording than anything else. Layout, knobs, etc. all seem simple enough, but getting distorion sounds takes way to much effort. Overall it will take you some time to figure things out.

First off... this pedal is incredibly noisy when you use distortion in any situation. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I'm using a De Armond M-77T through a 68 Pro-Reverb, a couple different over-drive pedals and that's it! The different wah settings all sound similiar and none sound good enough to warrant the $120.00 I paid for the pedal. I compared the Dunlop setting to my 20 year old Dunlop and they just don't compare... the original blows it away. The distorion section is weak and unusable. The same can be said for the univibe setting. Overall this is a pretty poor sounding pedal.

I've been playing guitar (indy & classic rock) for 20 years and have tried every wah pedal known to man... the PW-10 is not worth the dough. You can buy a used Dunlop, Morley or Vox for half the price... all three for a couple bucks more! Maybe its me, but I'll stick to the tried and true Dunlop.

This is going through two sets . One I'll call metal , the other , rock
Metal set up: Ibanez K7 guitar into 5 of the Ibanez ToneLok's (Chorus/Flange, Smashbox , Auto wah , Phase Modulator and Delay/Echo) into a Marshall 4x12 cab w/JCM head and Mesa/Boogie 4x12 cab w/ A Dual Rectifier head
Rock set up: Fender Stratocaster into a Boss TR2 , Boss Wah , Boss DS2 , Boss Super Chorus and Boss Phase Shifter into a Vox Ac30 and Fender Twin Reverb
The Metal settng let the wah wah screamon the Morely setting. Sounded fantastic. the only noise is from a fault in our Rectifier head so the pedal sounds great w/ the Ibanez effects . I think the Flanging and Smashbox together and seperate sound best w/ this wah wah .
The rock set up (my set up) . I like all three ofthe wahs , the Univibe was great, but if you wanta univibe , get a univibe. As good as modeling can be (and modeling is GREAT: See Line 6's mm4!!!). Again i like this unit w/ Modulation effects, my TR2 in particular

I however adore the pedal and will get a nother one again for my buddys set up (he uses a Dunlop Wah in his set up , and said he may switch to a Boss wah).
GO TRY IT FOR YOURSELF. IGNORE HARMONY CENTRAL REVIEWS. HARMONY CENTRAL REVIEWERS WONT BE USING YOU WAH , YOU WILL , SO SEE WHAT IT DOES FOR YOU

First off it's important to know that this pedal is a modeling unit.It has digital models of other wahs and distortion units that are the basis for the presets found on the pedal.
I found unit to be very unfriendly when trying to program or change from the factory settings. there is tons of possibilities, however, I couldn't quite figure out how to get the distortion sounds to cooperate. This unit will do wah and distortion at the same time or separately Unfortunately, you have to step on the unit and hold it down for two seconds to get it to bypass.I don't think you could ever use anything but the wah for a live situation, you can't turn the damn thing off fast enough for it to be useful. The wah aspect is simple enough to use. Just dial it to the modeled sound you want, step on and it goes wah, no biggie there.I don't really like the way there is a bank of the three presets that you must step thru sequentially to get to the preset you want. You can't just set a certain distortion sound and call it up.I have this things about pedals that defy basic user logic. This pedal fits that description and I ultimately returned it for this reason. I did give it about a week to grow on me so it was not a knee jerk reaction.
You must try this one before buying.

I thought the sound quality of the wah models was good, certainly very useful but not great. I have a teese rmc3 wah that sounds superior and has tons more flexibility. The distortion sounds are pretty good but again, not great. I didn't find any distortion sounds that were a must have.I felt as though the univibe model was particularly weak and offered little flexibility. The thing about this pedal is it does so many different things but in my opinion doesn't do any of them well enough to warrant me recommending it.

I play rock, blues and such. Hendrix, clapton, beck, ed van halen, srv and the usual guys are who I listen to. I've been playing for 25 plus years and am not some geezer that doesn't like or understand technology. I have owned plenty of high tech recording and guitar gear.I use a Strat with vintage hot lindy fralins thru a bunch of different boxes into a clark amplificaton modified model 1987 '69 marshall thru a mesa cabinet with vintage 30's. Try this unit before you buy it. I think the pw-10 would be great for someone who doesn't have a bunch of gear and is looking for a pedal that offers lots of different sounds and wants something to tinker with.It is not for live though. It didn't blow me away with the quality of sound. If it was more user friendly and the output level could be programed to match up better with other pedals it would be a great improvement. Maybe I just didn't spend enough time to figure out how to program it properly. I don't think so though. It is ,however, an impressive piece of gear for the price and a good first attempt for boss in this particular segment of pedals.

Just got this lovely new pedal and fulled around with it for the last few days. Oh boy, there is so much to it.
Only 3 knobs but so many sounds it'll keep me busy for quite a while. This is no ordinary wah. I wanted to replace my dunlop pedal when I saw this beauty and decided to pay the 139$ for this pedal (Heck I'm not in the USA every day and the price I'll pay in the UK would be 70-80% more anyway so I got it (Bethesda Music Shop)).
The manual was quite qood and the recommended testing setups where great fun to expolre.

I tried it with my Burns Marque (my Strat type), My enhanced DeArmond Jet Star, My Fernandes Bass and even my good ol' alvarez electro-acoustic, in all cases directly into my VOX amp. The sound quality is great. There is almost no noise in any setting.
I loved the UniVibe sound and the various voice sounds... You can play only with these for hours. The distortion is also a great addition and does a perfect job as an add-on to this pedal.
This is a super-wah pedal and from the 10 I checked this one was well worth the extra money.

I play jazz/blues/folk & rock. Been playing seriously only for the last couple of years. Own several mid range electrics, acoustic and bass (experiment baby ...).
If it were stolen I would kill the bastard as it would cost me twice that price to buy this pedal in the UK and I'm currently in-love with it. I wouldn't replace it with any other pedal because this is a one of a kind wah pedal at the moment. Boss did a great job. If you need a wah, and can afford this unit, look no further.

Just got this yesterday and I don't usually do reviews this soon, but the V Wah is such a coo pedal that I couldn't resist. It's fairly easy to used right out of the box but you do need to study the manual in order to change settings and store your own presets (you get 3 spaces). It sounds GREAT and is extremely versatile.

I plan on using the V Wah in an acoustic set up with a Takamine LTD 98 and a Peavey Ecoustic 112 amp. That's how I set it up yesterday. I run the guitar into a Tech 21 Acoustic DI > V Wah > TU2 > OC2 > AW3 > CS3 > SD1 > DS1 > TR2 > PH3 > BF3 > DD3 > CE5 > DD5 > Loop Station into the amp. The V Wah doesn't seem to be noisy although the factory presets have the on board distortion/overdrive up pretty high (tweaking is required to achieve unity gain when bypassing/activating the V Wah). You get models of 3 vintage wah (CryBaby, Vox, & Morley), a talker, a univibe, a bass wah, a new wah Boss calls Advanced, and Custom. The UniVibe is awesome (I was looking into getting a Dunlop Rotovibe but not anymore). I haven't yet tried too much with the Talker besides checking out the preset, but it's cool (although I don't really use that type of effect much). The 3 vintage wahs are very good sounding (maybe not 100% of the real thing but still definitely useable). I don't play bass so I probably won't use that model. The Advanced wah is very cool, with a wider range than the vintage models and the Custom allows you to get a synth type sound with a new effect Boss calls Double Resonance. Add to the 8 settings for wah on board distortion/overdrive/boost and you've got yourself a self-contained little wonder. Since I only got this yesterday I'm still getting to know it, but already I've found a few keeper settings to provide me with a variety of tonal choices to use during my looping excursions. I'll most likely update my review as I learn more about the V Wah, but so far I'm very impressed.

I mostly play jam-based music which covers original, traditional, folk, rock, ambient, space, and blues (which is why I like to have access to so many different effects) and the V Wah will be an excellent addition to my pedal board. I've been playing for 25 years and looping for less than 5 years. In that time I've owned way too much gear and I always seem to stick with Boss stuff because of great sound quality and dependability. The V Wah has a lot of options and it sounds GREAT. To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to sound as good as it does. I've had a few different Dunlop Cry Baby wahs over the years and I've played the Vox wah and a Morley (a long time ago). The Morley was the only one i didn't like. The V Wah gives you choices of wah tones plus the added effect options of a talker and a univibe (which is killer on this unit by the way) for a reasonable price. The only real negatives I've experienced so far is that you have to go through a bunch of steps to make changes in programing (but is is a modeling processor isn't it?) and you do have to press pretty hard to engage the toe or heel switches (if you're sitting- not problem if you're standing). Tonally I have no complaints. I'd buy it again, in fact I'm considering getting a second V Wah for my electric rig.
