Knobs are pretty simple. The only thing is you should crank the "wave" knob first if you dont know about tremolos...little bit easier to hear the effect with your wave like that. Other knobs are depth and rate.

I give it a 10 if you have the wave all the way up and do single notes but a 5 if you turn the wave down or use chords. It is possible Im doing someting wrong but Ive have a Zoom 7010 (trying to sell) and its got a great tremolo on it for chords and a nice high rate. If zoom would make some pedals Id get them but since they dont... Stereo would be nice too =(

Nice studdering effect if you turn up the wave and depth and keep the rate at 50% and you can get a decent tremolo out of it if you br extremly touchy with the wave and depth knobs. Id probably wait till Boss reissues a PN (as in the tremolo/pan) if it got stolen. But dont listen to just me...go out and try it (everyone else seems to like it!!)

Simple, just tweak three knobs(rate, depth and wave) to get the sound you want. Want a Leslie speaker? No problem.

It has that shimmering sound I've been looking for. Kinda reminds me of those tremolo sounds you get from old Fender amps. Just think of it as an ultra poratble Fender Deluxe tremolo.

Overall, I am very happy with the sound. Makes my originals a lot more intersting. I'm planning to get a new one for backup.

Hmmmmmm??? SIMPLE!!!!!! you can probably close your eyes and just turn all the knobs and find a good sound, its that easy. The manual gave some cool sample settings.

Easy to get good sound out of it. The manual gives sample settings. There is only 3 knobs: wave, depth, and rate.

It isn't noisy at all and it does not effect the tone of your guitar. This is a great sounding tremolo pedal. It has a great range of rate settings from extremely slow to shivering fast vibrato. The wave knob allows you to select varying amounts of sine or square wave for more subtle or more pronounced tremolo sounds.

I just got it, but I am sure it is reliable. The thing I like about Boss pedals is that the footswitch just invites you to stomp with all you got. The switch seems indestructable. I feel guilty doing this with other pedals because I am afraid I will break the switch.

I don't think Boss customer support is very good. I have on several occasions tried to get some info from them and either never got to talk to a human or never got sent the info. Plus if you lose a stomp box manual they will try to charge you $5.00 for another one!

I would buy it again, although I hope I don't have to. I think Boss pedals are overpriced. This is a great flexible Tremolo pedal, I would recommend it to anyone.

Besides the Rate and Depth you'd expect, it has a cool "wave" knob in the middle that can change the waveform. You can move from vintage trem to a Rhodes electric piano vibrato to a rotating Leslie (TM) speaker sound by adjusting the wave in conjunction with the rate/depth.

This pedal sounds like the tremolo on the old Fender amps. It shimmers, it wavers, it throbs, you name it. It is clean, with little or no overhead sound.

It's a Boss, so it's in a hard steel case, built like a tank, and bound to last long enough to pass down to my son.

I was expecting it to be good, but it exceeds my expectations. I was hoping to get that blackface Fender sound, and this nails it, as well as giving me some cool new tones to work with. Get one!
