It's a wah. Stomp on it hard and it gets activated.

Sound Quality : 3
I'm using this through a Carvin XV-100 (all tube) and a Schecter Semi-Hollow (TSH-1B).... I go through a lot of other effects but to test it I plugged it all alone to the amp, and it sounds the same as through 8 other pedals. It's weak without much any definition, a bit noisy but that's ok, my crybaby is too. It won't get a place on my pedalboard.

Reliability : 3
I thought it was heavy like a crybaby but it's very light and I don't trust it. It feels like it's going to break.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 5
I play alternative rock, some soft stuff, some heavy stuff. I've been playing for 6 years and I don't own that much more equipment, just a Schecter electric, Ibanez Acoustic and my trusty Carvin amp (I hate to be poor). If this piece of crap gets stolen, well, I won't miss it. I compare this to my crybaby wah which is also a piece of crap but it feels solid and has more definition than this, but for $20 + S/H, I'm complaining too much... bah, my dunlop was $30 too. If you want a good wah, don't buy the first thing you see or the cheapest, save a little and get a 535q or something, but don't go with this pieces of crap. I gave it a 5 'cause of value, but it's a 2 compared to a real wah wah.

Extremly easy to use, if you can't figure it out-you have no business with guitar fx's.

Sound Quality : 10
well, i was looking for a wah wah pedal. a buddy had a crybaby, which i loved but didn't have the cash-flow for. when i saw it at sam ash i thought "wah-wah...$30?" so i took it for a test drive..compared it directly with a crybaby and vox...sounds exactly like a crybaby(and $60 cheeper!!!) and well the vox was too horse whinny for my taste. not noisy, except for the switch....but i like it, it lets me know if it swicthed on or not...unlike the crybaby where you have to pray during a live gig that it turned on. sounds great with big muff fuzz. for the price i got it at and the sounds it produces, i'm very happy.

Reliability : 10
i can totally depend on it, made of a cast metal so i know it won't brake easy not unlike the "other" wah wah pedal brownsville made, i don't know what they where thinking...plastic?!!? and i use it all the time at live gigs without a back up. i love it! and for 30 bucks i love it more!

Customer Support : 8
well..i bought it at Sam Ash, they're the only ones that carry brownsville....although i have seen Musicians Friend with some brownsville guitars. i've never needed to deal with brownsville customer service...and i hate sam ash, but i can't complain about their prices. although they're great with their insurance plan and warranties...i recommend the extra bucks for the warranties...i bought the 5 year plan.. and it's great..buy a pedal..trade it in for a new better one! they don't let me play all the stuff, but i guess they know me, i just go in for a jam session with les pauls i can't afford.

Overall Rating : 10
if you're tight on money, and you're looking for crybaby wanna be. go with the choir boy wah wah pedal. i personally like brownsville...

Plug your guitar into the input jack, plug the amp into the output jack, put you foot on it and wiggle... No Manual. None needed.

Sound Quality : 8
Great sound, it's my first Wah so I can't really compare it, but I think it sounds good. It sounds clean and non-hissy, BUT the switch is noisy. It clacks when you work the pedal. I might cover it with a soft plastic toggle switch cover from Radio Shack which should dampen the tendency to clack against itself.

I'm plugging it into a Fender Bullet Reverb and a Washburn Professional Series PB30. I'm just using it in my den. I paid $25 at Sam Ash at an Orange Tag sale. I could not pass it up!

Reliability : 7
I've had it a week. It looks fairly sturdy for an econo pedal. I noticed some other name brands have the same bottom plate, so I expect it's made by a name brand manufacturer.
I don't gig, I just play for my own enjoyment and expression.

Since it's from Sam Ash, I don't expect any support. I have a low opinion of their staff. The only time I ever had to return something, cheap tuners in virgin condition, still in the unbreached bubble pack, they hassled me about it. The only reasons I spend a even a dime with them is they have low prices and they ran all the other more righteous customer oriented local music stores out of business. Anyway, they took my money and got my ass out the door. I buy cheap from them and I expect and get no service.

This is a wah-wah pedal. I LOVE THIS THING. Very easy to use and I get a great sound. I had to attach a penny to the contact (the part where the pedal meets the on/off button). Other than that, it is excellent.

Sound Quality : 10
I am using a Crate amp with this. This amp is wiring an Epiphone Les Paul and a Squier Strat. I get no buzz or feedback. Although, I can get a really phat sound out of this pedal if I reverse the direction of the cables. I haven't really tried to get sounds from my favorite artsts because I am an induvidualist.

Reliability : 9
Very dependable with one exception. If I obliviously push down the pedal too far, the effect either switches of momentaril or it shuts off all together. Then I have to turn it back on. Haven't had a first gig yet but I'd say it would be good enough to use without a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
It is a Sam Ash brand that I received as a Christmas present and I haven't had to bother customer support.

Overall Rating : 10
My style: I play mostly metal and hard rock. There are some songs I play that make a near perfect match. I have been playing a certain Sepultura song that if I listen to it more, I can get a perfect match. Lost or Stolen: Yes, I would get another one. I love everything about this pedal. This pedal has opened up a whole new world of sounds I can create. For example: I think I made my guitar sound like Donald Duck one night thanks to the wah pedal, distortion, and pickscrapes.

The wah is easy to use but switch is tricky. I still haven't gotten it to switch on and off with my stomping on the pedal (the switch is under the pedal and with the pedal fully closed it barely reaches it)

Sound Quality : 9
Well, I didn't have a lot of money so I bought a pretty cheap system. It's your basic Squier pak + Zoom 505 + CB. The CB sounds okay though it's noisy when it's passing all of the signal (pedal down).

Reliability : 10
THis is pretty reliable, feels like cast iron and pretty heavy. I doubt I can break it.

Customer Support : 7
There was no manual, so I had no way of figuring out how to switch it on/off easily. Bought it at Sam-Ash

Overall Rating : 8
It's good for beginners I guess. I play a mix of alternative, grunge, metal, and pop, so it fits my needs. I just got my electric, (I've been on acoustic for a long time) If it were stolen, I would buy a pedal that's easier to use ( on/off switch next to pedal). I chose the pedal because of the price.
