Ease of Use : 5
theres no knobs or any sort of complicated features on this wah. just a single button under the pedal. my only gripe about this is it takes a bit of force to activate the wah. i sometimes find myself putting a lot of pressure on the front of the pedal to get the button pressed in.

Sound Quality : 5
the sound quality is okay in my opinion. i dont find the wah to be particularly thick or heavy. when the pedal is rolled back it has a very fuzzy hollow sound. it does not go into the wah effect until it is about 2/3 of the way down. in that sense it is a bit weak. with this being a cheap pedal i guess you cant really expect to get a great sound out of it. im playing this through a fender stage 1000, so this isnt being played with a really expensive tube amp, but it more than gets the job done. if my amp is played with a good deal of distortion i can hear a creeeekkk go through a bit as a move the pedal.

Reliability : 9
it is a very heavy sturdy pedal. it is made of metal and im by no means worried about it breaking. very solid. i would gig without a backup. i dont think there is anything this thing couldnt take.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them. this thing was given to me for free so i have no complaints.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
i play a big mix of music and this is good for a little spice but it's not like when i play voodoo chile that this pedal really shines. its best used for a little change here or there. it doesnt do a terrible job nor does it do a particularly impressive job. overall for a cheap pedal its okay. again, i did not buy this new so it could have been around the block a while. i'm thinking of buying a snarling dogs blues bawls. that seems like a really great deal for a true bypass pedal with lots of features. that seems like the way to go.

It's as easy as any Wah, it looks exactly like a CryBaby, plug in and play. No manual, neither do you need one. Just like the CryBaby you can bypass this one if you stomp on it harder to activate the footswitch under the rocker.

Sound Quality : 8
I use it before all my effects, mainly w/o distortion. I use Yamaha Pacifica --> Brownsville Wah --> Boss Chorus Ensemble --> Boss Tremolo --> Brownsville Volume Pedal --> Trademark 60 amp combo, clean channel (Tech21). It's not noisy or anything. It's a little trebly on "max" and is louder, than when you rock back and remove the trebles, so to get a good, consistent sound you should only rock it a little. I'll see how it works with a compressor. I'm not after anybody's sound, but for some songs it can give you a pretty nice effect. I think it'd be boring to use wah all the time. It's not as nice as your cheapest Dunlop CryBaby, but it's lighter and is way cheaper.

It seems ok. I have no back up for this, but it's not crucial to my sound, just a spice. I'd be ok, if it broke on me on a gig. I'd just play w/o it! It's metal though and should be ok. Can't rate it, cause these are new (they made plastic ones for a while for like $20 or so, but those would brake!)

These are only sold at SamAsh, I expect them to be dependable, they treat me well there, I've been shopping there since they opened.

I play rock, etc. This helps me spice up the sound sometimes. I don't use it much. That's why I got the cheaper no-brand one. Been playing around 3 years. I like that this pedal actually feels smoother than the Dunlop CryBaby, which I bought first (then returned). It's about half the weight, also the signal cables are connected in the back (like volume pedals), not on the sides like the CryBaby, it really helps save space on pedalboard), also cheaper. I don't like that it's a bit too trebly on max (and louder). But I think it's common for wah, unless it's adjustable. I like the bypass feature, same as CryBaby. For the price and if you don't use wah in many songs this is a good competitor for Dunlop and other expensive units. It's still metal and sounds very similar. Check it out if SamAsh is in your neighborhood, but don't just mailorder from them. You may not like it.
