This is a JFET booster that sounds alot more amp like than most others I have played. I am a pedal nut and what many booster do when cranked it distort and add some hair on the upper end of the guitar sound. The Burriss Boostier does not do this and actually sounds quite point to point hand wired tube amp like.

Who ever answers the emails was very nice but it was not the actual pedal/amp guy. The phone number was given to me so I could contact the actual dude and annoy him with stupid questions. Cool!
I think I will ask him stuff like who will win the Super Bowl..LOL

I play alot of Hendrix type stuff and I am not sure if this pedal will end up on my board or not but it does sounds really good overall.
I have been playing for 30+ years and own too much gear to mention here. If it was lost or stolen I probably would get another one for the board, if it makes the board.
The pedal this most closely compares to is the Fulltone Fat Boost. Now I do not like the Fat Boost because of what it does to the upper end but I do like this very amp like pedal alot.
I think this pedal is alot more refined than most JFET boosters of this type and if it a clean booster you are looking for get this one.

Hi, This isn't an actual review, this is just an informative blurb about the Burriss Boostier pedal at www.burrissamps.com. I am not a customer, but an employee of Burriss amps.
The Boostier is a transparent clean boost pedal with three controls- Output (vol), Highs (treble/tone), and Input (gain). It's a simple setup that most of you are familiar with.
Features:
-Unlike other boost pedals, it operates on two 9 volt batteries to produce 18 volts of tight, focused, ultra fat; even-ordered harmonics (also works fantastically with one 9 volt!).
-Super high impedance (lets your pickups sound like they should).
-Super sensitive reaction to your picking nuances.
-Super low current draw (extra-long battery life).
-Full sized pots.
-Class A circuitry.
-True bypass circuitry.
-Super high fidelity.
-Virtually indestructible construction.
-Doesn't give you a mid boost like some other "clean" boost pedals do.
-Lifetime manufacturer's warranty
-Keeps the tone of your amp and guitar and enhances it and brings out more subtleties, i.e., if you're using a small or mid size amp it will overdrive easily according to your volume, if you're using a larger cleaner amp, it will boost but remain clean etc... The overdrive that you will achieve will mostly be attributed to your amp (although there is a small amount of gain available via the input knob).

The pedal has been tested with single coil and humbucker equipped guitars and a number of different amps; the goal of the pedal was to be transparent so the guitar and amp are the main focus...

It was built to last with the battery area serving as protection as well as the typical black epoxy... Giggable without a backup, or buy two and cascade them!
