In a word OUTSTANDING! This pedal just drips tone. Does everything from Tube Screamer to cranked Rat but sounds far better than both. I've owned many vintage pedals over the years but I've never had anything that sounds like this. It's hard to describe, but it's got this creamy, smokey, mid tone that just makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. There's just not a bad sound in this box. Works great with other pedals...with a comp in front of it my Strat just breathes fire and is dead quiet. Flip the 3 way switch to the middle, hit the neck pickup on the Strat and you've got smokin' Texas tone that would make SRV proud. Stays transparent and always sounds like the guitar you play through it no matter how much you crank the gain...and there's more than enough gain and sustain for any application. Chad has outdone himself on this one.

Been playing for over 40 years...mostly heavy blues these days. I very well may get a second one of these and have them both on my board, which would make the Plague the only overdrive/distortion I'm using. It's that good!

In a word - OUTSTANDING! Gives you everything from a mild Tube Screamer sound to a cranked Rat...but sounds far better than both. Seems to always retain the tone of the guitar you're playing through it no matter how far you push the gain. The switch gives you three voices with the middle position being the least gain and more blusey tone. The top and bottom positions give you more gain but are always transparent with tone that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up! Great thick smokey mids and sustains like crazy. I've owned probably every vintage overdrive/distortion pedal you can think of and I've never heard anything that sounds like this, and none that where nearly this versatile. There is just not a bad tone in this thing! Chad has outdone himself with this one.
