well, i wouldn't call it a clean compressor...it's as colorful as a box of crayons. so if that's what you're looking for, then you've hit it perfectly here! i liked the sound of my old dynacomp but couldn't handle the seasicky sound that it made as it pumped through the super slow release time. that is much more even now, it's a nice solid pumping sound. not very subtle but a dynacomp isn't supposed to be subtle compression. after the mod the pedal seems to have less gain on it but in the 4 or 5 o'clock position on the level knob three is still a noticeable boost in signal level. great for giving a squished crunchy sound to your rhythm playing, great for fattening up in a solo too. i might have to get two of em.

dynacomp has always been a magic little animal with a lot of soul. this mod makes that mxr extra juicy. and the blue led is pretty sexy too.

Its a compressor that is a clone of the mxr script dynacomp... Its pretty easy to use since cmat used a mxr reissue box...

It sounds pretty good...
I have heard nothing but great things about the mxr version-however, i havent gotten a chance to compare one on one with this clone.
Sounds like a compressor should...and he did an excellent job on the true bypass

There is only two of the four screws in it and he obviously thought that was enough...
I wouldnt gig with a backup-not enough money;)

I play a american strat though a orange rockerverb...and that is amazing...
It was weird cause i wanted a script dyna but:
1. didnt have the money
2. wanted an led
3. and a power supply
so this one seemed pretty good!
I hate the way the bottom plate is screwed on crooked... maybe that happened in shipping idk but it sits crooked on my board...
Sloppy job with the glue adhesive to hold the velcro to the bottom
But then again you buy a pedal for its sound right?
But for 90, it shouldnt look sloppy...
