What an amazing effects pedal. It's real easy to dial in great tones. It's even cgot a comp/cut. No manual needed. Just tinker till you get "that" sound.

Sound Quality : 10
I'm still pinching myself. All these hi-dollar FX pedals and this one stands out! I'm running a MIA strat>HBEgermicde>Tubeslammer>CPR>RedWitchMoonPhaser>HRdeluxe.
I love the thick/airish milky tones!

Reliability : 10
Built Like a tank....all hi grade materials

Customer Support : 10
No need as of yet but i';m sure Chad's approachable.

This is a follow up on my previous review posting.

Sound Quality : 10
Chad offered to swap my Tube Slammer to give me one with more high end and indeed this one nails it (no extra charges) more high end, tighter OD. Awesome!

Reliability : No Opinion

Customer Support : 10
Chad is not only has the knowledge to get the right tone out of the pedal, he's great in delivering support and fast. Swapped my pedal out for free to one that was more in my tonal region.
Awesome!

Overall Rating : 10
I am sure to follow the stuff this guy comes out with, so far it has all been awesome.
This guy delivers the best bang for your buck!

Pedal has three knobs, level, drive, tone. To me that is dead easy.
The granularity is also very good. No crazy unexpected jumps when adjusting.
Uses either 9V Battery or Adapter.

Sound Quality : 10
Tried it out with a Tele, Strat, LP, chained a CMATMODS Phat Boos, Tube Slammer and a Saraceno Dirty Boy into a Maven Peal Zeeta 1-50 Amp into a 2x12 cab with Fane Ceramics.
This pedal has almost NO NOISE really nice.
Tube Slammer can give you a deep bassy growly OD or a tighter brighter OD with the tone control. You can really jump in volume a ton if you want to as well.
The drive gives it control from a nice strong crunch to super OD
It worked well with the Strat, Tele and LP. It also stacked really well with the other two pedals.

Reliability : 10
As far as I can tell build like a tank.

Chad is a nice guy

Been playing for about 10 years. I think this OD sounds as good as some high priced "boutique" that I've tried.
I'd certainly get another one if stolen.
I think one thing I persnally might like is a little bit of a tighter band of frequencies and a slightly wider range towards the treble side. These are personal preferences.
Great pedal, great builder, highly recommend!

Three knobs: Drive, Tone, Level and a 2-way diode selector switch (opens up the range of tone to dial in). It's just a matter of dialing in the tone of your preference... it's there, it's just a matter of taste.
It uses a 9v battery or power supply (I'm using a Dan Electro Zero Hum supply).
It's a no-brainer... plug in, turn knobs, and play.

Guild S-90 -> Carl Martin Compressor -> CMATMODS TubeSlammer -> CMATMODded BOSS DS-1 (tons of low end & trasparency) -> Budda Wah -> TC Elect. Chorus -> Fender MusicMaster Amp (Torres Mod)... The deal is that Chad's pedal (CMATMOD) nails the sound of a driven tube amp...period. I A/B'd the TubeSlammer (true-bypass) against my amp cranked at 10 (the Torres Mod is great) and then dialed in the pedal... the TubeSlammer nailed it. Tons of low end (if you want it)... Tons of gain (if you want it)... Transparent... Quiet (plenty of overhead). I don't have anything bad to say about this pedal. It's the perfect Overdrive. It's not a metal player's pedal, it's too organic (if that make sense). Have Chad mod your fav pedal if you need that metal sound (www.monteallums.com).

Reliability : 10
It's a beautiful pedal (very cool hammertone copper)... Chad personally hand built it and everything on it is quality. I consider this purchase as an investment. When Chad's famous... I get to brag about having his pedal (for 1/2 the price that it's really worth). I plan on growing old with it. I can depend on this pedal to out live me.

2 year warranty!!! Chad is a great guy who answers questions & comments promptly. He's got great taste and knows what he's doing (that's the impression I get from his emails). I don't see this pedal ever needing service. It was built with too much care and attention.

Overall Rating : 10
I guess I play an Alt-Prog type... I dunno, I try to be as original as possible under the influence of great musicians/bands (Fugazi...Tool...SoundGarden...). I've been playing for 25yrs... collecting gear (a lot of regrets for not collecting more). I have a Mesa Quad Pre-amp w/ the Strategy Amp... '65 Twin Reissue... '68 Champ... Gibons ES-325 & Les Paul... '68 Fender MusicMasterII... it's all just gear until you dial in that sound... then it's bliss.
This pedal covers the organic tones that I was looking for (my amp driven on 10) giving me the ability to use my amp on a cleaner level. I still have Chad's modded DS-1 for the staple Marshall sound (I'm sure he's busy, but get him to mod your gear... it's worth every penny).

This pedal has 3 knobs, tone, volume and gain, and a 2 way selector switch for diode selection. It's very easy to use due to the simple layout. There is no manual, but you really don't need one due to the very simple layout of the pedal.

I use a 69 Fender Relic Strat thru a 68 Fender Princeton Reverb. My pedal chain is as follows, Boss TU-2 tuner, Stampede SOV-1 Overdrive, CMATMODS TubeSlammer, Fulltone Fulldrive 2, CMATMODS SD-1, Homebrew Power Screamer, CMATMODS Metal Zone and CMATMODS Delay. The TubeSlammer is a fairly quiet pedal and only becomes somewhat noisy as you turn up the gain, which is common for most overdrive pedals. The sound is incredible and can be tailored more due to the IC socket Chad puts in so you can try different OP amp chips. It sounds very much like a Fulldrive, only a little clearer tone. I've got the 4558DD chip in mine, which I think is a little warmer. If you're looking for a high gain distortion pedal look elsewhere. This is more of a blues type pedal for low to medium gain applications.

Reliability : 10
Chad's pedal are all handmade and are guaranteed for a 2 year period. Can't beat that. He uses only the best parts when building these and I wouldn't have a problem playing without a backup.

Customer Support : 10
Chad is a quality guy and this is what sets him apart from many. He responds immediately to most e-mails and always offers helpful, friendly information. I've had very good luck with all the pedals I've purchased from Chad and would recommend him highly if you are looking for a great pedal at a great price.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for over 20 years and have tried allot of equipment and pedals. These pedals are high quality and the price is well below what other hand built pedals are going for. The sound is incredible and if stolen I would buy another immediately. I guess I would try one of these first before buying a Fulldrive as it sounds as good but is about $70.00 less. Tone is very subjective though, but for the price you really can't go wrong. Chad is very easy to work with and if you don't like it he will do what is necessary to make it right.
