Just like any wah, you step on it.... There are 3 modes for high and low (high being for rythm and low for solo ate least is what they say in the website but it all comes down to what your looking for). To switch between modes just press with your heel and it changes

I have an Epi Les Paul Goth with seymour duncans in it (the dave mustaine set) and play it through a Roland Cube 20x (at home) and a Orange Rockerverb 50W (studio). Needless to say, through the orange it sounds amazing (but pretty much anything will do) so I'll review it using my roland (has a pretty decent clean sound).
I bought this comparing it to the boss pw-10 and the normal dunlop crybaby. The boss is very good and you can get some nice wahs out of there but it doesn't feel too natural (anyway this is just an opinion). I tried this one and it was like wow....

I play anything that's good on the ear (including metal and classics).....I've been playing for 12 years and this is my third wah ( the other 2 = home made :D they kinda sucked ). This pedal is amazing and has great sound for the value. Not the cheapest but does the job even comparing to more expensive ones. It is very smooth and if you try it you will definitely like it. I play with humbuckers so I dont know how would this fit in a strat setup.
Hopefully this will last long enough for me to be rich and get a dunlop rack wah :D but otherwise it's very good.

Brand new product from CM and their first wah pedal. Initial review after 1 week's use and assessment.
1) Extremely well built and very heavy die-cast body. Quality parts and circuit boards.....made in China as part of the 'budget' range of CM's pedals but not budget in price, quality or performance.
2) Comprehensive range of features covering most needs....2 modes selectable by a heel switch, overall on/off on the toe switch.....Low for full range wah and lead use....High for a wah that retains most of the body of the guitar's sound and adds the effect at the top end of the range for rhythm work. also has a 3 pos slider switch for each mode to set the mid range emphasis of the wah effect...cut, flat or boost.
3) Has an 'attack' pot which adjusts the overall 'severity' of the effect.
4) Red and Green Leds to show that the unit is powered up and which mode, Low or High is selected.
5) Standard 9 volt, centre neg, operation by PP3 or external power supply.....current draw is only 4mA so you get about 25 hours out of a battery which is pretty good.
6) NOT hard wire switching for the 'true bypass' but switches via buffer amps which can be an advantage to a solid through connection.
7) Treadle friction is adjustable with the supplied allen key so that you can set the resistance to your preferred feel.
8) All important threads on the rack and pinion etc etc are sealed with red Locktite to prevent any loosening etc.

1) Very quiet pedal in operation....no whooshing as on cheaper models, no hum.
2) Bypass mode may not be hard wired but it is sonically totally transparent and doesn't do anything to your guitar's tone....excellent.
3) Wah sounds are very good and there is a nice sweep to the pedal....quite a few different types of effect available and I found the two that suit me for lead and rhythm with no problems.
4) One of the best I've tried, not the cheapest and not the dearest but is of good quality with very good sounds.

Too soon to say but judging by the build quality, which is superb, and CM's reputation, I don't expect any trouble.

Overall a very good pedal at an attractive price...doesn't have the pedigree of some other makes but I'm always open to new initiatives and willing to give them a fair chance. Much better than Vox, Cry Baby etc....Budda is just an upmarket Cry Baby...the one I'd judge it against is the Fulltone....but that's ??50 dearer and in my opinion not noticably better
