More features them most Chorus pedals-
Bypass switch - On or off basically
Vibrato switch - Switches between the vhorus or vibrato effect
Level knob - Controls overall mix with your original sound, left in the middle it stays equal or you can use it as some what of a boost
Depth Knob - Controls how strong and deep the chorus sound is
Speed Knob - Controls the speed of the signal, so how fast the kind of rotary sound spins.
Rate - controls the mix between the vibrato effect and the chorus
All these things are very usefull, and the pedal is almost 2 in 1 with it consisting of chorus and vibrato, which is great value for money.
The pedal is pretty easy to use but some specs and presets on a manual would be good, not to mention the pedal looks great.

Chorus- It's very natural and got like a retro anologue sound, which is great think Incubus - Crow left of the murder album.
Maybe the depth and speed controls could be abit wider ranging but usefull pleasent tones.
Vibrato- When this is engaged the effect becomes very tremelo like with fast rotations of frequancy and is very strong which im sure any one who plays anything alternative will love having this extra sound on the pedal.

Completely noiseless, which i love becuase alot of pedals have either noisy pots or foot switches. The sound is awsome, I can dial in almost any chorus ive heard and the vibrato switch adds that extra kick when you really need it. On top of that you can even get a boost out of her with the level knob, and it doesnt distort the sound at all, just a clean boost.

Yes she is realiable, and gig-worrthy for any style band (well unless you set fire to the stage, she could take it but the thought of melting the paint is unbareable). ive used it at many a show and plan to do more with her in the studio.

Simple Controls, but Bypass to 'engage' chorus?? seems a bit backwards?? and a little confusing to blend chorus/tremolo - but obviously mine was completely faulty!!

Bought Brand new - noisy level pot, level swells and drops when operating any setting, audible hiss even on low levels when 'bypass?' engaged - virtually no effect sound from either chorus or vibrato - total useless expensive rubbish!!

Total functionless rubbish - BRAND NEW out of box with new battery - could have had a so called 'budget' working Danelectro or Behringer for a third of the price!! - at least it would've worked!!

I've owned Keeley, Analogman, Hermida, Browntone, Boss etc....etc....all second hand and had zero problems with any (especially the USA stuff), but this thing at this price and brand new!! - back to proper boutique reliable stuff for me - wouldn't have Carl Martin stuff given after this! Gutted!!

This is an interesting pedal, and my second Carl Martin. The four switches are pretty intuitive, although I'm finding if I crank the level too high it becomes very loud... i usually have the depth up, and it's good to go. The vibrato engaged along with the chorus is nice, and the rate knob on the left controls the level of blend between chorus and vibrato effects

Well, my setup is as follows: modified squier strat or fender baja telecaster > Dunlop crybaby wah > boss BD-2 Blues driver > Ibanzez TS-7 Tubescreamer > CM Classic Chorus > Carl Martin red repeat, all into a Fender Performer 650 combo amp. The chorus sounds great in this setup with both guitars. The chorus sound alone is lush and full, capable of light warble to really spacey ethereal tones. While it doesn't quite provide the Leslie speaker sound, it does get some nice woosh to it with the vibrato engaged (rate knob at 11:00). With the depth up, it gives some definite Hendrix sounds and latter years live SRV. My tone is preserved wonderfully with this pedal, the only noticeable difference is with the vibrato engaged, the treble is reduced a little bit to keep the tone warm. This blends really nicely with my distortion pedals, and it creates a full and warm tone with plenty of bite to spare. Love it! Not gicing a ten, since nothing is perfect, but Carl Martin impresses once again

I've thus far had no problems with it. It's been shipped around to practices and it is still fully functional (though i managed to chip the badass purple finish in a little spot). I don't see myself needing a backup for gigs. it's solid metal, and built to last.

Haven't had to talk to Carl Martin yet, but I imagine they'd be friendly. This is just the way i'd like to perceive things happening

I've been playing blues, funk, and rock for about 6.5 years or so, and while certainly no pro, i know a few tricks of the trade. I'm a tone nut, and spend much of my time tweaking to get proper tones, and this little purple beauty is responsive to me at all times. With the vibrato engaged, you can approach univibe tones, but of course, you'll need the real deal to get that tone exactly. All in all, I'm very pleased to have this pedal and would seriously consider replacing it if stolen. My problem is I want to try everything though, so in that unfortunate eventuality, i might just go elsewhere.

Easy to use: speed, rate, depth and level controls.
Level control is a smart plus on a chorus pedal, so useful to calibrate your overall sound or to boost your sound when you come from a distorted solo and want to cut through the mix with an arpeggio.

The best chorus I have ever played with!!!
So warm, thick, fat, sweet... I don't have enough words to explain how happy I am with this pedal. I'm a pro player for more than 17 years, I have had tons of gear and many chorus pedals, but this is the best!
Chorus mode is completely transparent, as all Carl Martin pedals are, it doesn't change your natural sound but gives you a very sparklin and spacious chorus sound.
In the vibrato mode it cuts off a very little of highs, that is a very smart and useful thing because your sound gets warmer and warmer and if you use it with a distortion pedal, it never gets fuzzy or trebly.

The best chorus pedal I have ever spent my money on. Warm and very vintage style sounding, but clean and transparent at the same time.
I would leave it on all the time!

This pedal is not very easy to use: you need to know it a bit. Maybe it's because I am not used to chorus pedals...
However, many of the sounds that you find on your way are very good!

I was never really into chorus pedals. I always found they sound out-of-fashion, too liquid, too plasticy. Never respected my tone.
But this is a different story!
Due to the way a chorus pedal works, it's possible to emulate the ADT and Leslie processed sound of George Harrison's on Abbey Road.
As for later stuff, I don't know. I'm not too much into 80s Hard Rock or funky to know. But this pedal is good enough for some late Queen sounds, though it's not scooped enough for Police.
This pedal can get a very nice and transparent chorus and (second switch on the left) a less transparent but highly musical vibrato.
The chorus is not too strong or present (which I like), and it's perfect for arpeggios or even solos (with the Level pot all the way up to crank the tube a bit). It is possible to have a wobbly sound too, but the best thing to do is to emulate a double tracked guitar.
The Vibrato is soooo warm, but not woolly. It's hard to switch it off, and go back to a more "natural" guitar sound.
The pedal is not noisy.
I am currently using it with a Telecaster (maple neck and Van Zandt pickups) and an Epiphone Valve Jr (I've new neighbours!!!).
Pedal board: to big to name everything, sorry...

Carl Martin is a serious company.
Had a problem once with a switch: they replaced it in short time.
Had funny requests: always answered within a day or two in a very nice way.
I never had the same support by an international company.

I play mostly 60s and 70x influenced pop and rock.
I never wanted a chorus, but this one made me change my mind.
Not only the sound is really good, and transparent. But this product is also cheap.
