Ease of Use

This is a passive A/B switch box (no battery or ac adapter). I use it to split the signal to two different amps, but I believe you can also use it in the reverse. There are three 1/4" jacks and a single footswitch. There is no indicator as far as which path is being selected.

There is no apparent noise or coloring of the sound as it runs through the box. I've noticed some A/B switch boxes have line level controls, but personally, I prefer that a switch box does nothing more than switch the channels.

I've only owned this for a short period of time, but it is housed in fairly heavy duty metal, and the switch feels substantial. I've never had a problem with any equipment I have purchased from Carvin in the past.

I've talked with customer support in the past (not for this item), and they are knowledgeable and helpful.

Simple box, well built, does exactly what I need it to do. Good price as well.

Bought two of these (one for me - bass, one for guitar player) since we both change between two guitars for different songs and both of us sings it's praises. Effortless switching, no pops or thuds when switching. Works like a charm. Only thing they coud add is maybe an LED light to let you know which channel is active.

No coloration of the sound at all, a simple passive switching device. No loss in gain or signal either.

Had them both for months and they have have survived many a live gig stomp. No problems at all. Like anything else it's all in how you treat it. If you stomp on it with an 8lb work boot you might damage it. Treat it nice and it will last forever.

Everytime I've needed support from Carvin they are extremely helpful. They took an exchange even though we were over the 10day trial period. I gues it also helps that I used to work at the coporate offices sop I can name drop here and there. But they've been nothing but professional and timely. Even took my stupid live sound questions.

I am using this backwards compared to most, I think. I am using it to switch between guitars, not amps. I have a 335 in one channel, a Slingshot (tuned 1/2 step down) in the other. this makes changing guitars soooooooo much easier. No noise added. No pops or noises when switching.

Only had it a few weeks and have'nt even used it at a practice yet.

Hit or miss depending on who you get. I can't see this needing support.

I play jazz & blues influenced contemporary Christian original music. Almost exclusively clean. Been playing 30+ yrs. I would definately buy it again. Definately helps when I switch guitars.
