Two knobs for Drive and Volume. Nothing complicated; turn the knobs to where you want them and you're good.

I use this as a virtual second channel for my Dr Z maz 38 2x12 combo, and it's the last pedal before the front of the amp. It's best, in my opinion, as a way of getting a simple amp on the edge of breakup tone. It cleans up well with the guitar volume control and behaves well with wah, compression, boosts, and other overdrives.

Not much can go wrong with it. Standard jacks and switch that could fritz out, but I'm gentle with my gear. No problems with reliability expected.

This is great if you want a slight grind to build an overdriven tone om top of, or lends a nice Georgia Satellites type of OD all on its own at low settings. I've never dimed this onstage, but it seems capable of an AC/DC type crunch at the top of its gain range. Similar to a DOD 250, with less rasp. Not a tone of gain, but nice grind. Paired on its own with a Barber Tone Press and both volume and drive at about 9:00, it's very capable of Carlton/Ford/Hermida tones, although YMMV. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat because it's the missing link between simple boosts and boutique low gain OD units to my ears. More guts than most boosts, but more transparent and realistic than any other low gain OD I've tried.
