It's as easy as a tubescreamer, zakk wylde, big muff, or any three knob overdrive.it's even easy to be seen in the dark for the paint glows in it! also, the battery door opens and closes much easier than a boss or crybaby.....

I'm using les pauls, strats,a brownsville v and '79 dean reissue mls.The amps i've used with it are:jmp marshall with celestion green backs in the cab,a peavey 5150 combo and a vox tonelab se.the pedal works fantastic with your amp already overdriven...it also works fantastic in the tonelabs insert section. I didnt enjoy the tone in the john5 demo videos...but i loved it on the guitar world demos.it really comes alive with an already overdriven tube amp.

I really love this pedal. it has replaced my mxrs including the zakk wylde one. i believe it's also made by dunlop/mxr.it is very solid.unfortunatley after mild use-not even leaving the house-some of the black paint chipped off,but it is shaped like a coffin so that really adds to the flavour!?kinda...works great. pedal switch gives a polite click..

never changed anything to it....not even the battery for that matter..using a danelectro adapter for power. the manual is rather clever.the descriptions for the settings are quite funny. it lists one as church burning!

it isnt face burning. it does add a lil more boost than the zakk wylde from mxr. if you've got a mild tube amp, like my '68 jmp marshall it'll top it off rather nicely. i dont believe my 5150 combo needs a solid state boost, but my tonelab does! i used it on every guitar that you hear at www.myspace.com/gregkleinlegion as you'll hear there's quite an amount of variety you'll get from adjusting it and your amp. you also have a sweet spot on it using the rhythm pick up on a les paul and turning the volume down to about 6 and the tone to around the same...it reminds me of the tone dimebag got soloing on his neck pickup---very smooth!
