Ease of Use : 10
Simplicity itself, just plug in and play! Used as an "in-line" effect, there is no audible background noise, although the pots get a little dry when it isn't used for a while. I bought mine new in the early 70's and used it for 20 years with no trouble apart from the battery connector snapping off. (Too heavy-handed on my part, but a simple job to replace)

Sound Quality : 9
As a volume/swell pedal it controls the sound from silent to flat out without any tone loss (unlike turning down the volume on a guitar with passive pick-ups, which loses treble.)
The Wah-Wah is superb just as it is, and gives an enormous tonal range for use in static positions of the treadle controller.
The Fuzz is classic 60's. Early Yardbirds (Eric) or Spencer Davis sounds can be achieved, and the tone and volume controls cover wide bandwidths to make possible sounds that modern units simply can't replicate.
I used it through two "1960B" Marshall cabs and a "H/H IC100" head which has a tendency to be too "clean" with no master volume. This solves the problem, simply crank up the amp and use the Swell to control output volume!!
I used it with twin-coil p/u's (Gibson 2402DX 6/12 twin neck (SG Jimmy Page type) and single coil p/u's (Custom Shop Strat with '57 style standard p/u's)

Reliability : 10
My unit is now over 30 years old and still works fine. a squirt of WD40 when it isn't used for a while sorts out any crackles, and it's incredibly robust. I never considered carrying a back-up, and never thought about it not working on a gig. It just DID!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never needed any support, too damn reliable!

Overall Rating : 10
As a "mature" musician, I've been gigging since 1964 when I was a (very) young lad, and have played most styles of music. I was never one for lots of effects and for 20 years this was the only outboard unit that I used. After 3-4 thousand gigs I retired it, in favour of a Digitech processor/pre-amp which now goes straight through the desk.
This Coloround pedals' sound still can't be bettered and lately I've considered using it again, (if I can get it back from my son, who uses it regularly!)

Very easy to use - wide throw on pedal allows for maximum control -
since the pedal throw is much longer than most it may take a little
getting used to but shouldn't be too long

Sound Quality : 9
i use it with either a 1969-marshall 50watt w/4x12 cabinet and a gibson gs-100 combo amp w/4x10 cabinet 1969 / 1971 gibson sg's and usually in conjunction with an mxr distortion+ and a sekova big muff the sound is exceptional since you can use it somewhat as a tone pedal i.e. you don't have to pump it for wah sounds - you can find different spots in the range of pedal throw to give different tones - allows for controlling feedback / distortion - when the pedal is on and the throw is all the way down - deep jazzy bass tones - if all the way up - ear piercing high-end !!! and anywhere in-between you get a different ranges of tones / sustain. if the peadl is off - opening the throw all the way cuts out the sound - you can use it like a volume pedal in reverse - i.e. if pedal is off - it can lower the volume depending on how far you push the pedal -

Reliability : 8
Yes - i've been using mine since 1974 - but it has gotten a little noisy on the high end - i'm sure it could use a new pot (i have one new one left from the early 70's)

I've used this pedal for funk style sounds - jazz (more as a tone pedal - not a wah ) - and can get incredible crunch / metallic edge high-end out of it with no problems at all - this is an incredible pedal with multiple uses - and i've done all different styles of music with it

Easy to get a good sound from this piece. It can do wah, tone swell, wah & fuzz, wah & tone swell, and fuzz & swell. Has knobs for fine tuning. Just stomp it & wah.

Sound Quality : 10
I love this pedal! The fuzz is ultra-smooth and not too noisy, and the wah doesn't distort, has even sweep, and doesn't sound like everyone else's wah (Crybaby, Morely, Hendrix, Vox). Definitly a vintage sounding warm fuzz (Robin Trower, Ash, etc.), so if you want a Metallica fuzz, get the Jimi Hendrix Fuzz/Wah. Put some additional fuzz on the line and a bit of compression, and you have a smooth, dreamy fuzz that swells in waves and sounds totally even, with the wah adding some tang. Great tone and colorful wah-sounds. If this were an amp, it's be a Marshall SLT Plexi(the purple one)!

Reliability : No Opinion
It holds up great. I use it for gigs and in the studio, but I'm VERY scared of it getting hurt or stolen. I would get a backup, but I can't find another. The vintage pedal emporium I bought it from said they hadn't been able to find another of the "supra" fuzz/wahs for 9 years. I only found one other place that had had one of these, but it was the non-supra version with the gritty, noisy fuzz. The problem is, it's the BEST fuzz/wah out there, so if it dies, I'm screwed. I can't really say how durable it is, because I make sure it never takes a beating, so it's hard to rate.

Never needed support. I think they're still in business...

Overall Rating : 10
I love this pedal. Haven't had it for very long. It inspired a really nice Robin Trower-like blues instrumental (all fuzz/wah with lots of fuzz into an SLT Marshall Plexi running hot), and I also use it as my general wah. If it ever dies and can't be fixed, I'm going to spend the rest of my life in search of another.
