Ease of Use : 10
Easy to figure out being that it has control knobs for each effect, volume in, chorus, depth, compression, distortion, plus a master for overall volume.

Not much to edit...just dial up amount of delay, depth, compression, and distortion you want.

Did not come with manual(used) but my seven year old son can operate it! How's that for ease of use?

Sound Quality : 7
Works with singles or humbuckers. The humbuckers are way louder. Sounds better with a good tube amp rather than transisster amp...but still functions well...just not as thick with transisster amp.

No noise whatsoever!(on 9 volt battery) As the other person said...the chorus and depth controls can provide some very SPACY sounds. I found that NOT using an adapter but a slightly weak 9 volt battery lets you have more control with the chorus controls and it still gives you plenty of signal. UNPLUG when you are done using the unit. My weak battery seems to last quite a long time.

Very good compression and distortion control...compression control sounds more like a EQ scoop control.

Give the rating an 7 because the chorus just does not sound like your average chorus. Otherwise the pedal is good for the master volume, compressor, and distortion effects.

Reliability : No Opinion
MURPHY'S LAW rules!
I don't depend on anything anymore.
I always take an extra amp, guitar, cords, pedals, and my toolbox to every performence.

No contact with this company.

I have been playing for 38 years...pop, metal, country, classic rock...damn near everything except that RAP CRAP.

I play custom made strat-a-likes, Krammers, Fenders, Washburn, and others. I have a good sized home studio so I have a large selection of different brand of amps, prosessors, pedals, etc...that I have collected over the years.

If this were lost or stolen...I do not think I would miss it. It came to me in a pile of pedals that I traded some studio time for.

Ease of Use : 9
Like most older effects, it's easy. 6 knobs, 3 stomp switches, two inputs, stereo outputs, headphone jack. Lots of sounds available - this unit has distortion (one knob), compressor (one knob), analog delay (two knobs - rate & depth), chorus (one knob for speed), and master level. Stomp buttons switch distortion, chorus, & delay.

Sound Quality : 8
Amps used are a pair of tweed Pro Jr's to take advantage of the stereo feature. The unit is not noisy at all even with everything set to 10... very nice considering that it's all analog. The effects are quite potent; the master level knob really helps this out. Keep in mind that the unit claims to have a built in amplifier; so it's probably designed to put out a high signal level. It can be powered by an AC adapter (I use an Ibanez AC109 regulated power supply) or a 9V battery. I imagine that a 9V would be dead in a matter of hours. The distortion is very good - there are six JRC4558 op-amps on the circuit board, in addition to five other op-amps. All the components are 1980's Japanese parts, so think of sounds similar to your older Boss, Ibanez, etc... Compressor is more like a sustain. Delay is one of the spookiest sounding short delays I've ever heard. Not spacey like an old Ibanez analog delay, more like an analog echo found in an old amp or board. Maximum delay time is definitely under 200ms. Chorus is just plain weird; I like this type of feature. Not shimmery, or even smooth. Signal goes fine and then goes wavery for a few milliseconds, like it's got the hiccups. It's nice to have something weird like that lying around in the arsenal just to suprise people.

Reliability : 10
Heavy cast zinc chassis. Metal knobs. Quality potentiometers. Plastic jacks but swapping these for Switchcraft would be a breeze. Heavy (I mean heavy heavy) rubber stomp buttons. Bright red LED's. Made in Korea out of Japanese components. I'm wondering which company really pieced this together - it's done nicely.

Huh? I found this in my tech's junk bin. Repaired and sold to me for $75.

Overall Rating : 10
C'mon. If you see one, just try it. The only way it could be better was if I had the battery compartment lid still with it. No complaints from me; where else can I find all these features for $75? And it fits in the back of an amp easily. I have over forty different pedals and a few multi-effect units; this one is definitely a contender.
