Ease of Use : 10
I am Sasquatch, friend of Guitarhunter (see below). Dude - one knob!!!

Sound Quality : No Opinion
Dude = transparent and full of mojo. I never used a boost pedal before a friend of mine turned me on to the concept. I'm into clean amps and adding distortion via pedals. This boost pedal makes your amp sound huge and thick. I only play through tube amps (super reverb, Vox ac30, deluxe reverb) and it makes these amps sound huge, lush, and juicy. This pedal is better than Keeley's boost pedal (friend has this one) and it is so awesome looking.
The unit costs a bit more, but hold it in your hand and play it!!!

MK 4.32 If any man has an ear to hear, let him hear !!! (paraphrase but it's close - look up and believe my friend!!)

Reliability : 8
Here's the deal - mine crapped out on me - loose connection or something. Sent it back and they made it better - very better. they said it was only the 3rd pedal that had problems since they started and were very concerned to make me whole again. In less than a week, it was back on the board and working fine. I'm giving it a high mark as I looked inside and was like whaoh cool!!

Customer Support : 10
I'll just say that I have never experienced better customer service (voodoo labs is close). They answered ALL my phone calls, responded to ALL my emails and got this baby back in the saddle in less than 1 week !!!! I'll not say what else they did for my troubles, but lets just say my jaw dropped when I got it back!!!!

CLASS A+++ COMPANY !!!!! I want this rating to go to 11 (Spinal Tap??)

Overall Rating : 10
Sound is fantastic - it's really all about the tone of your existing equipment!!! It makes my 335 and EJ Strat sound unbelievably awesome and full through my tube amps. It is on all the time and I feel naked without it. That one week I didn't have it, my tone felt so lifeless and less juicy. I try not to play through too many pedals to preserve my tone, but lawdy lawdy when I got this kicked on with my Xotic BB and mojo vibe (moogerfooger here or there), it's lights out baby!!

Needless to say I am into this company. Holy Fire will be reigning down soon in Redeemer fashion!!!

This pedal is extremely simple to use - just an on/off button, and a volume knob. It is about as close to idiot proof as can be.

Sound Quality : 10
The sound quality is excellent. This pedal improves the sound of every other effect in my chain. I am using it with a Fender Twin-Amp and a Traynor YCV40WR. Effect chain includes Plant Waves Tuner>>>>Keeley Compressor>>>>Creation Mark 4:23 Boost>>>>Barber Tone Pump>>>Barber Burn Unit>>>>Mojo Vibe>>>>Empress Tremolo>>>>Analogman Bi-Chorus>>>>Diamond Memory Lane>>>>Boss DD-20. I have only experienced noise when using the MK.4.23 with a Wah pedal - so I just switch it off when I am using Wah.

Reliability : 10
I have been using it for four months without incident. I am gigging without a backup.

Customer Support : 10
I have not dealt with Creation Audio Labs. A friend had a failure with his boost and they have been very responsive.

Overall Rating : 10
I play with the worship group in a large church. We cross many styles. I have been playing for 30 years. This is the first boost pedal I have owned. I would definitely replace this one of I lost the use of it. It is a very transparent pedal...it does not alter or color the sound of your guitar or other pedals. It just makes everything sound better.

One knob, no nonsence.

Sound Quality : 10
Man, I've tried tons of clean boosts. This is the best period. I leave it on all the time as a buffer for my overall tone.

Reliability : 10
Never had any problems out of it, and I've had problems out of every other piece of gear I have.

Customer Support : 10
Now here is where I have some good input. These guys are awesome. I bought it from Sarge himself at there shop, I have the 3rd pedal sold to the public. (They kept the first 30 in the run for themselves they told me, I have #33.) They brought me in there shop and let me try the pedal through a few different guitar and amp combo's. The pedal did not come with a dedicated power supply when I got it, so they offered to let me have one for free just have to come get it!

Overall Rating : 10
If something happened to it I'd definatley get another, it's my go to pedal!

Ease of Use : 10
Very simple to use. 1 knob for clean gain boosting. 0 up to +24db.

Sound Quality : 10
Very very transparent. The proper internal electronics have definately been incorporated in this device, regarding bypass mode and the engaged mode. I would like to mention, that in one of the other reviews for this product, the user says that in bypass mode there is possibly some coloration and or low end roll off. And i say to that user and anyone else, that if that is the case, then you not maybe, but definately have a unit that is not working properly. The reason i say this is because, some of us have at our disposal the ability to hook up, or have one of our electronic engineer friends hook the proper electrical equipment up to devices and actually test for loss of db, loss of specific hertz frequencies etc. etc. Trust me,this makes it real easy when verifying claims by manufacturer and those of us who use these products. It's not as hard as many people think to verify and scientifically prove or disprove the operations of a device. Now that I've taken up everybody's time with this info, don't hesitate to seek out electrical engineer's in your area. You'll probably find that most are very friendly people and love sharing this type of knowledge with you.

Reliability : 10
I do not find any thing in the outer or inner construction that should be an issue regarding reliability. But everything that is manmade should be backed up, by either insurance and or extra units in this case. Remember that always. So,ladies and gentlemen, in my most humble opinion, this is a must buy piece of equipment.Keep Rock'n everybody,Keep Rock'n.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with this company.

Overall Rating : 10
Seems to be a winner. I will say that the ladies and gentlemen out there with good size feet may like it a little better if the distance between the footswitch and knob was a little greater than it is, and hey maybe, if were all respectable towards the company, maybe they will grant that wish that some of you may have also.

Ease of Use : 10
Simple. One knob to 24db of transparent boost. It was all I needed to push my amp into a nice hairy breakup

Sound Quality : 10
Incredible. I use this with two amps, a Genz Benz Black Pearl 30 2x12 and a Mesa Blue Angel 1x12. I gig both amps regularly and I use an OCD for overdrive. This pedal gets me more volume and saturation from the power amp and it sounds astounding. I use it at every gig and it's been exceptional. Very transparent and acts as an extension of the amplifier which I why I bought it. I use a very simple set-up guitar-->OCD--->MK.4.23--->amp, and I achieve all the tones I need.

Reliability : 10
Very reliable and I have gigged without a backup all 6 months that I have owned it. I love this pedal.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No experience with them, but they're a pretty small shop with loads of confidence in their products.

Overall Rating : 10
I would replace it if lost or stolen without a doubt. This is a wonderful pedal and I am so impressed with it.

One knob...0 to 24 db of boost. What else is there?

Sound Quality : 10
I bought this boost as a volume boost for solos... It does this quite well and I used it at the end of the chain in my effects loop. Worked amazingly with no added noise.

Then I started playing more plugged straight into my amp. I noticed how much signal I was losing with several pedals in a chain. (I need to emulate a wide range of sounds in my band.) I tried the MK 4:23 between my last pedal and the amp. I turned the pedal to 0 db... perfect buffer! No signal loss, no noise, just straight into the amp sound. I can't say anymore than perfect! To CAL; Thanks and God Bless!

Reliability : 10
I use it every week without a backup and don't worry at all.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I don't know, but I believe they would stand behind the product.

Overall Rating : 10
Great, I might need another for the original reason I bought it!

Ease of Use : 10
simple controls, bypass, and 24db of gain

Sound Quality : 10
This is where this product shines. I have tried many pedals in front of my mojave peacemaker, and I am always disappointed, most pedals even in bypass mode will compromise your sound, this pedal is by far the most trasparent pedal that I have ever seen. In bypass mode I found that the pedal changed my sound very little, maybe a slight roll off of the low end, almost undetectable, when in boost mode the tone of my sound did not change at all, it just boosted the volume and added a little more gain from pushing the front end of the amp harder, a superior pedal to say the least.

Reliability : 10
looks good. well built.

Customer Support : 10
the people at creation audio labs seemed friendly and willing to help.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing many styles of music for over thirty years now, I am using this pedal to boost my mojave peacemaker for leads in live situations, I have not had a chance to record with this pedal yet, this is the only pedal out of hundreds that I have tried that I will put between my amp and guitar, usually all effects I use are added from a line out from the amp sent to the effects, and then to a power amps to be mixed with the dry sound, this pedal is so transparent that I do not mind putting it in front of my amp.

one knob. turn it on. turn it up. no further instructions needed.

Sound Quality : 10
this pedal doesn't sound like anything. no distortion. no noise (even when bosted all the way up to +24dB!)...and i do mean absolutely nothing, not just "quiet". it didnt change my tone at all. fully useable pot sweep, not just the last half like a lot of boutique type pedals. breaks up the front end of a tube amp exactly how i like it, even at lower volumes. it gives me that high volume preamp tube growl i love without having to crank it to oblivion. i put it in my effects loop to overdrive my power tubes...wow!

Reliability : 10
only had it for a couple of months, but its made out of 16guage stainless steel. i probably could have broken the switch, but i stood on the pedal (hehehe) and it didnt give or anything so it seems to be pretty sturdy. i suspect that it could stand up to quite a beating, or be used in a beating, thats up to you.

Customer Support : 10
the pedal works great, sounds great. havent needed to haggle with them. so i consider that to be the best customer support... dont make crap that you will need to support the customer over.

Overall Rating : 10
better than my other two boutique-ers. they havent come out from under the bed since i got this(i think that they are ashamed of themselves, and i dont blame them). if you want your expensive hand-made pedal to alter your tone, dont buy this pedal. i like my $3k guitar with my $600 pickups just fine without a pedal changing the way they sound. i just want my tone louder and i found it with this little guy
