Easy to work with... although the 2 batteries thing sucks! A 20 volt power suppy with a 1/4 inch jack solves that prob. Mine came to me cheep as non working (otherwise mint).I suspected the switch or battery connection...took it apart...and it works great.

Sound Quality : 9
Very nice...not a huge sweep but good sounds. You can dial in a nice lush chorus too.For the money it is a bargain.I own an original ADA flanger too...this unit is not up to the ADA but has it's own thing going ... a good thing!I like it better than most others I have heard...way better than the newer stuff.

Reliability : 8
Solid box...other than the common swicth probs that the performer series seem to have...it should hold up!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to.

Overall Rating : 10
The performer series stuff is DOD's best...nice vintage sounds for not big bucks...I see these around for $40.00 - $60.00...not bad!
You can not go wrong for the price ...gets a 10 for the value offered.

The controls are no problem--regen, width, and speed--but I take two points off because it uses two 9v batteries, and the power adapter is 1/4 inch. Pretty inconvenient, though not unsurpassable--you can evidently get 1/4 jacks for your Pedal Power, and the CD Brick has 18v outputs (though you would have to rig a jack, tip positive).

Sound Quality : 10
I think it's just lovely. Very quiet and transparent, doesn't suck your tone. With the regen and width up all the way, and the speed near zero, you get amazingly weird bends in tone; with the regen turned all the way down, and both the width and speed high, you get a beautiful shimmering vibrato. My temptation to get a Boss Vibrato (well, not really, I wouldn't pay THAT much) has been considerably truncated by this feature.

Reliability : No Opinion
Hard to say. I haven't had it long. And it's old. But it is heavy and nicely put together.

DOD answered my questions about a power supply, but they have no parts for the Performer Series pedals, such as the battery door, which half the ones you see around have long ago lost.

Overall Rating : 10
A great deal. I can't believe people don't know about these great pedals--perhaps the present-day cheesiness of DOD has made the Performer effects' excellence a little hard to swallow. They're good ones, though--grab them if you see them.

Very easy and very effective to use. The 3 knobs let you make a very warm analog sound.

Sound Quality : 10
I am using a fender twin reverb amp and what I get from this pedal connected, is true flanged sound. I really enjoy vintage pedals and that one is indeed one of the best in its category. The flanger sounds true nd warm, it is over 20 years old now and I love it.

Reliability : 9
It is very well built, beeing 20 years old and still look safe and a lot better than any new pedals. I would always trust on it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I surely have no idea about it.

Overall Rating : 8
I like interesting sounds and that pedal helps a lot. If it was stolen, I would be upset cause I would not really be able to find another one easily. One of the bad things about this pedal is that it is quite heavy, but I guess it is good in a way cause it means it is reliable.

I bought this luckily from a vintage music store. It is very easy to use and is very effective with the knobs. You can get many sounds, real sounds

Sound Quality : 9
I always love real sounds and when it comes to this early 80's pedal the flanger sound that it produces is very very satisfying. If you play a bit with the knobe, you can get some weird sounds out of it.

Reliability : 8
This pedal beeing almost 20 years old, and still playing like new means it has very good reliability. It looks strong as well, although a bit heavy..

Customer Support : No Opinion
Have no idea!

Overall Rating : 8
If this pedal had been stolen, I would be very unhappy for two reasons. First it is a bit too difficult to find one of these flangers these days, and it is also a bit difficult to find another flanger that sutits my needs same as the 575-a. Overall it is very worth it.

Ultra easy to get a terrific sound out of it.. It has "Regen", "Width" and "Speed" controls how much easier can it get? Takes two 9V batteries or a power adapter. If you don't have the adapter.....well I'd imagine you'll be changing those puppies out frequently.

Sound Quality : 9
This is a great sounding analog unit. There are some really great swirls in there. It was my friend's favorite effect box before he gave it to me. Thank you Jeff!! I've played through other vintage flangers and this one stands up to them just fine. It's got a really strong sound to it, but when it's off it won't screw up your tone.

Reliability : 8
My friend had it for quite a while and it had a crakling sound in it every now and then. I cleaned the pots and the power input (1/4 inch phono plug) then I connected the two 9V battery clips together (they were in series..so I didn't hurt anything) and wham, bam, thank you mam...problem solved. Since then I've had no problems.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't know.

Overall Rating : 10
This flanger can get some really wierd effects going or you can just set it as a really strong sounding chorus. It always sounds really smooth and never harsh and mettalic sounding yet still maintains a lot af bite via the direct signal mixed with the effect. I reall y enjoy using it and my buddy, Jeff, is a Saint for letting me have it!
