3 knobs, and a switch. Doesn't get any easier!

Sound Quality : 9
I believe this unit was manufactured in the mid 80's as an upgrade of the regular 585. It's constructed alot better, thicker metal casing and better switch. Possibly one of the most under rated delay units available. Has the basic controls, Mix, Repeat, Delay time. The delay is so smooth, & adds a ton of atmosphere. It's great for that signature U2 / pink floyd sounds. This unit adds no noise! Unlike my memory man that I paid out the ass for. (200 bones) I run it with my Gibson les paul custom & jcm 800 2204 halfstack, does'nt get any sweeter than that! This pedal is 18 volts, so you must buy an a power supply (if you don't already have one) or you'll be killing 2 9volts every day. The AC input is 1/4" just like a guitar cord. I bought a danelectro DA2 18Volt supply that goes to the "cool cat chorus" and cut off the end of it and solderd the 1/4" on. Works like a charm. I believe Jim Dinlop makes a 18V supply as well. While I'm typing this I will plug my bands webpage, take a listen. www.vegasounds.com

Hmm, here's the tricky part, the switches in these pedals really suck. So take it to the tech, or do it yourself! I put in a old school memory man style switch in, never had a problem since! highly recommend it.

this pedal is to old to ask for customer support.

Overall Rating : 8
Well, these pedals are really great. It's very simalar to the Boss DM2. They just need a little tender loving.

three nobs, turn em.

Sound Quality : 10
from awesome reverb to infinite delays to insanely crazy thunderous sounds when tweaked correctly....kinda like the sound in ugly truth by matthew sweet. this is the main reason i got the pedal.....crazy noise at the end of the set...but it is the best delay ive ever used. im on my second one.

Reliability : 8
im on my second one.....the first one was refurbished but still lasted for about 5 years....the new one has a pot starting to slightly go bad and its kinda the same thing that went wrong with the other one....but its almost a 20 year old pedal so these things ARE going to happen.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never tried

Overall Rating : 10
for the money, there isnt better out there that i have played. WAAAAAY better than the dod fx 90 that everyone seems to want.
