Ease of Use : 7
Needs a lot of tweaking for and acceptable flange sound

Sound Quality : 5
mmm... has a signal boost that you think could be helpful sometimes but it's not, even worst live.

Reliability : 8
It's tough

Don't like how it sounds and as you can see everybody looses the battery cap because its located on a bad place and has a bad security clip, hate the power adapter input being on the left side and it's connector type.

Why does it says "use a 10v adapter" when we know uses 9v??

A little confusing at first to understand what "regen" and "delay" refers to with regards to a flanger, but after some exploratory tweaking it's easy to understand.

Sound Quality : 4
The effect is really weak. I was looking for that epic swooshing flange and did not find it in this pedal. The sound out of this pedal is hollow sounding.

Reliability : 8
I don't really stomp my pedals too hard but this thing does have a plastic foot switch which may not hold up all that well.

Customer Support : 5
Bought it used, never had a problem, except for with the patheticness of the effect. DOD shouldn't waste our time putting out pedals. I've played some of their other pedals and have been disappointed with the quality of their effects.

Overall Rating : 6
I was just disappointed in the power of this pedal. It hardly affects the signal. If I could go back I would spend the extra $20 on a used BF-2 or something

Four knobs (delay, speed, depth, and regen). Stereo outs. I found a sound I liked right away. Make sure you get the older FX75B and not the more recent FX75C. They are NOT ALIKE AT ALL!! The newer (green) FX75C is weak and quiet. The older (blue) FX75B is kind of overwhelming by comparison, but in a good way (to me).

Sound Quality : 10
Some other reviewers have called this pedal weak, but I think they have the FX75C and aren't paying attention. I find the FX75B to be very...flangey. Sorry, I can't think of a better description. If you are familiar with "Nobody's Fault But Mine" by Led Zeppelin, it's kinda like that. Not exactly, but closer than other pedals. I don't use it all the time so when I step on a Flanger pedal, I want it to Flange, and this one sure does.

Reliability : 10
I've had a bunch of these and never had any problems with them. My only problem is thinking I don't want it anymore and selling it, only to miss it and buy another one. I swear as of this writing that I'm done. I'm hanging on to this one.

Customer Support : 8
I do appreciate the fact that DOD has the manuals for most of their older pedals on their website. If you're looking for the manual for the FX75B you won't find it. You have to open the one that says FX72, which is the old Bass Flanger. They share a manual. If you can spare the space on your PC, download all of the manuals and keep them before DOD goes belly up and the manuals are gone.

Overall Rating : 10
Like I said before, it's very flangey. Good for hard rock, but also for any style you want that sound in. Just remember not to get the FX75C instead. That pedal sucks.

Ease of Use : 10
An easy to use basic flanger.

Sound Quality : 7
Good (but not great) sound quality. Not as strong of an effect as other flangers but a decent basic flanger.

Reliability : 7
Pretty good, standard DOD construction. The two drawbacks are the plastic pedal switch and plastic battery door that many people lose. I've never had a problem with either but they are drawbacks never the less.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 7
This was the first pedal I ever owned. A lot has changed in 8 years though. It's not the strongest or most versatile flanger you will find but a pretty decent one and (in my opinion) better than the more recent DOD FX-75C. If you are looking for a great flanger, I would recommend the Boss BF-3 but this a great basic flanger for the money.

Ease of Use : 5
Why five? well, for this one that's a very GOOD rating - if it were easy to use it wouldn't be worth trying!
Yeah, I cracked this sucker open about 10 seconds after I bought it, and then spent a good few hours tweaking the internal trim pots.... this is the tricky part, because the darn thing keeps turning off when you press down on the floor or your thigh or your palm!:)

Of course, straight from the box this thing worked like a charm, perfect swooshing to warbling ranges... wonderful - but I needed a little more, so I am very thankful for being able to give this guy a five rating rather than a ten.

Sound Quality : 9
As flangers go, yeah: great! almost perfect - very transparent. As a moogy-style filter, well, it can get a little noisy, and the feedback can become a little overwhelming - good for the player, too bad for the listener.

I so super dig internal trim pots... those extra miles you can travel, the differences that just aren't there for stock users... I use a variety of older pedals from the eighties, trying to make them sound timeless through a ten watt japanese solid state from the early seveties - a single-coil guitar... a humbucker guitar...

it really takes a good amount of work within any sort of 'rig' but if you are looking for a basic flanger and stay within those parameters, there should be little to no problems with the noise factor.
I did however notice that this pedal somewhat boosts the signal even when turned off... something to look out for.

Reliability : 10
As with all DOD pedals, if you use external power and don't kick the crap out of the soft-touch switch this thing ought to last (if found in fairly new condiition) for about 100 years or so:)

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't get me started.... these guys should feel very fortunate that their company doesn't really exist anymore, because otherwise I'd be bringing serious complaints to their doorstep

Ah... what do you do? DOD to Digitech to Donny Osmond's Ding-dong... the company changed and left behind a great deal of good pedals from the eighties.

Find support among your peers - a battery cover can be found for less than five dollars - if your DOD fails you should be able to replace with a newer one for more or less what you paid for the first one.

Overall Rating : 10
Maybe DOD pedals need to be like three times bigger, with pots the size of D cell batteries - and a lot more of them... sometimes it's hard to belive that sounds so big come from pedals so small - this is not to say all DOD pedals are charmers, but those that are are.

How hard can it be? Turn the knobs 'til you get a sound you like. Write it down so you don't forget. I lost the manual so many years ago I don't remember if it was any good - anyway, I don't have any bad memories about it...

Sound Quality : 9
Played through a large assortment of tube and transitor amps and many kinds of guitars. Fairly consitent sound. You can get sounds ranging from a deep flange to an almost-chorusy sound to the sound of scraping metal, you can even get a tremelo-type effect if you keep the regency and delay at zero.

Fairly quiet, adds maybe the tinniest bit of noise depending on how you have stuff plugged in. One problem is that if you have it set for a deep flange, with the regency turn all the way, when you're not playing, you can hear a faint flange in the background.

When switched off, it's off. No sound from it.

Overall, good sound and range. I would say the sound is more crisp than warm, but not in a harsh way. Call it "bright".

Reliability : 10
Had it fifteen years and it's never failed or stopped working. Made of die-cast metal. The switch is wide and narrow and looks to overlap the the pedal casing witch is probably why the actual switch underneath has never broken. Never failed so I've never needed to open it up.

I got a power adaptor for it the same time I bought it, so I've never even put a battery in it (for real), so I don't know how long it would last

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never needed it

Overall Rating : 9
DOD Stero Flanger FX75-B, bought in 1990 still have it in 2005. Powder blue metal casing, four controls:Delay, Speed, Width and Regency. Red LED indicator. (1) input, (2) stero out. Battery or AC adaptor.

I've used it regulary to color my sound for years.

I don't think they make it anymore. Compared to the reviews for those bought/made in the late-ninties and the newer FX75-C, this older one seems generally better.

It's a Flanger. It flanges and it flanges well. Even does a few other tricks well. If you see one used somewhere, plug it in and give it a chance, you might be suprised and save some money.

For what it's worth, I like the text/graphics on the older DOD pedals, the newer ones look cheap (even if they're not).

If I lost it (or it finally broke), I'd buy another new flanger, not a DOD though, I don't like the new ones - maybe if they still made this one.

I found it extremely simple to get a good sound of this pedal, almost effortless. As with almost any pedal you will ever buy, the manual is not worth the paper it is written on. Just play with the settings until you find something you like!

Sound Quality : 9
I am using an Ibanez SA360EX Special Anniversary guitar into a Behringer V-Tone GMX212 amp. I have a Dunlop Original Crybaby between the guitar and amp, and in the effects loop I have a Bespeco VM14L volume pedal, a DOD FX65 Stereo Chorus and the FX75-B.
The pedal itself generates very little noise, can?t fault it. I do find that DOD pedals in general brighten your tone a little when disengaged, but I actually think this improves my tone so I?m all for it!
The effect itself is perhaps not the most customiseable or of the highest quality, but I had no trouble at all getting the sound I wanted so it suits me fine! The sound I was looking for was something similar to the version of ?The Blood, The Sweat, The Tears? found onMachine Head?s ?Hellalive? album, and this pedal certainly delivered it.

Reliability : 8
It?s a DOD pedal and as such it?s built very well, I know I could depend on this to get me through a gig.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with DOD and hopefully I won?t need to.

Overall Rating : 9
This pedal is perfect for my needs. I?ve been playing for nearly three years now and have been in a metal/death metal band for almost a year. This pedal really enhances my sound, I?m very pleased with it, especially since I only paid #25 for it on eBay. If I lost it or it was stolen, I would buy another one without hesitation. I have not compared it to other pedals but I don?t feel the need to. Buy this with confidence.

Ease of Use : 8
Very easy to use.
The manual talks about completely different knobs than are actually on the box (Ie. width instead of depth, etc.)
Just best to play around until you get a good sound.

Sound Quality : 9
I'm using a standard telecaster with Seymour Duncan Hotrails pickup (gives a crap mushy clean sound) and the pedal sounds good with it despite the crappy clean sound from the guitar.
It seems to aplify any interferance that the guitar picks up a little but not too much.
The actual sound is very good (doesn't sound all scratchy like a multi-fx flanger I had a while ago).
I managed to get a good Prince "Purple Rain" type chorus and a James Dean Bradfield "Roses in the Hospital" solo sound out of it without a problem, so I'm happy.

Reliability : 9
Just got it so nothings gone wrong yet.
Still, I had to buy a new DC adaptor and the one I got was faulty and sent 12V positive to the pedal (it expects 9V negative I think) and it didn't fry which was nice. ;)

Customer Support : No Opinion
Dunno.

Overall Rating : 9
I play punk/rock type stuff.
It's useful for the odd intro or for a really over the top (Ie. all knobs to the 4 oclock position) solo.
Oh and Prince covers - good for them too.
I've been playing for a few yars.
I like it's tone but I don't like the fact that a bettery last about five minutes before the sound goes to crap (hence the DC adaptor).
It doesn't sound like it has a real bypass (although I could be wrong) so I'd like one of those.

The best part about this pedal is when you're just playing around on the guitar working stuff out of whatever (Ie. clean - no distortion), it gives a nice sound.
