Very easy to modify the sound from simple background chorus to fast Atari tweets.

I'm using an Ibanez Artist with humbuckler pickups and the sound quality is excellent. At low modulation, it actually cleaned up the tone a bit.

The battery could last longer, and the big blue light doesn't fade when the battery dies. It lasts fairly long (3-4 hours straight) but a power plug could rememdy this

A great product for the price. You plug it in and go. Great sound right out of the box. Three main controls, mix/speed/depth. All you need.

I'm using it with an Ovation acoustic/electric, and a Behringer amp, very cool. Haven't heard any noise with this set-up. Can be set for
barely there, to I'M HERE! Easy to get classic chorus sounds, almost
12 string. (Wish You Were Here)

Haven't had it long, but seems solid. I don't stomp on my effects pedals, so it should be OK. Don't know anything about gigging, can't say. I'll give it an 8 for now.

Have been messing around for over 20 years. No particular style, just
try to play what I like.
This is a great pedal, at a great price. I would definately buy it again. Compared reviews of other products before deciding to get this
one. Best bang for the buck.
Almost forgot to mention its cool, vintage looks.

I love the mix nob, I've been using an EH Small Clone that just totally takes over the sound when you step on it...I just need some light chorusing in certain phrases without being obvious, and this does the trick. Just dial in the rate, depth and mix and you're good to go. You can get the extreme wacked out sounds that are fun but useless or get the nice warm, lush stuff that I bought this thing for.

I bought this on a lark, promising my guy at GC that I wouldn't return it if it sucked ass. Got home and plugged it in and almost creamed in my pants ! This thing is really an amazing pedal for 15 bucks...like I said, nice warm chorus. You can get super watery, clean and crisp, or completely fried acid trip stuff out of this thing. The guys in the reviews that can't tell a difference when they switch it on must be on some some seriously bad crack...I was gonna blow 200 bucks on the MXR Stereo Chorus, but not anymore. This bad girl does what I need for a tenth of the price tag.

well, it's plastic and cheap, but I try not to spill beer on my shit and I don't jump on or kick my pedals around....and it's 15 dollars fer chrissake...just buy another one...no big loss. I'll take the cheap plastic for saving 150 bucks...I might even go buy like 4 of 'em so I have a stock on hand...but seriously, take care of your equipment and it won't fail 99% of the time, right ?

uh, well, see above. I've never used customer support except the 30 day return policy of retailers. Again, take care of your stuff...if you need customer support, you probably need ritalin as well.

My girlfriend is a singer-songwriter. We do Sarah McLachlan by way of U2 and Coldplay kinda stuff. Spacey, dreamy and melodic. Check it out at http://www.myspace.com/francescaleemusic
I've been playing seriously for about 10 years. This is my rig: Epiphone Sheraton II - Boss SD-2 Dual Overdrive (sson to be a TS-9 reissue)- Digitech Digidelay- Danelectro Fab Chorus- MXR Phase 100- Line 6 Verbzilla- Boss Tuner- Morley Alligator volume into a vox pathfinder, soonto be an AC15 reissue. Sold my fender 4X10 monster...
No one steals my stuff cuz I keep my eyes on itALL THE TIME.
I'm revamping my rig after selling everything I owned to move across country...

5-string BB Series Yamaha Bass --> Fab Chorus --> GK 115/210 Rig
I just played with it at my church and our drummer was sick, so the worship leader just said to me fill up the sound, which is the greatest thing to hear in this group. Playing through a PA system, I didn't expect anything world-changing, but when I turned it on, it sounded wicked. Fatass tones from a stellar $15 pedal. I seriously sounded like Jaco with this, and I didn't even have a fretless! The maxed out setting is very, very, very unpractical, but hey, what can you say for $15? No good vibrato when speed is maxed either. No noise, fat sound, $15. Buy this.

It's about as easy as you'd expect from a chorus pedal, the usual controls, plus ths "mix" knob which adds some more versatility. Just play with it until you get the sound you want.

It sound like just what it is- a perfectly valid, usable chorus pedal, but for 15 bucks! I broke my vintage Boss CE-1, and stopped by Guitar Center on the way to a Saturday nite tuxedo gig, bought the thing without trying it, plugged it in on the job, and it worked just fine. Not noisy, but it does boost the overall level a little more than I'd like. (Hey, 15 bucks!) It may not be the sonic equivalent of a pricey AnalogMan (a beautiful sounding chorus, believe me!) or something of that ilk, or like my favorite, the JC-120 amp, but overall, it sounds warm and musical, good enough that I can see where working pro guys (that's me) will be using these things on a regular basis. I don't use chorus for any kind of musically innovative purpose, just to get the usual commercial generic sounds I need, working lots of casuals, sessions, church jobs, clubs, etc, here in LA. I like this little pedal a lot.

This is a perfectly good, usable, giggable FX pedal, for the price of a pizza. I haven't tweaked around with it much, but the sounds I've gotten so far work just fine. It sounds fat and musical, it doesn't suck away your basic tone, and it doesn't make a bunch of noise. My only complaint would be the level boost it gives, but then, my old Boss did the same thing, and for this sticker price, I'm not going to spend a lot of time complaining. Buy one - it works.

I have a couple of RGT42's, an RG770, and an MH201 running into a Morley wah pedal->B52 AT100->Effects Loop->Fab Chorus->DE-1 Dan Echo. The sound in this setup is phenomenal. The Fab Chorus would get a 10 but I can hear an ever so faint low pitched whirring sound when it is on. I believe this is normal for a chorus pedal and you can't really hear it unless you're specifically looking for it. But still, it's there. I got nothing but positive comments from my band when I inserted the Dan echo and the Fab chorus into my effects loop.(I was using a Digitech Genesis 3 before).

It was cheap so if something happens you can get a new one without breaking the bank. I'm not really worried about it though. It's a hard plastic case with a metal bottom so who knows how long it will last.

Ease of use is quite easy indeed. Mix, speed and depth controls- sometimes on some units the concept of mix and depth are confusing, but in this case depth is akin to "width" and "mix" is the classic wet to dry ratio.

Sound quality is stellar, forget about the $15 price tag. Here are the guys I A/B'd this against:
Small Clone- a great pedal, but somehow the FAB sounds better, more versatile as well!
MXR Stereo Chorus- the best, but more "rackmount" liquidly in it sound. The Dano is more like an EH pedal.
Boss CE-2- by comparison, it was a bit weak and anemic, sits atop your tone.
So the Dano is an incredible buy!

The new Arion secret weapon chorus, i.e a cheap chorus that sounds awesome that will end up in pro rigs. The only thing it can't do is the hi-fi "TC" or "Carl Martin" or "Fulltone" chrous sound, so if you're playing new age jazz then get one of those, otherwise this is IT!
