EASE OF USE???? It's got one button and two knobs!
Button: bypass... it's not a true bypass i think, but its pretty transparent.
Mix: effect/dry signal ratio
REpeat: NUmber of repeats, or esentially a feedback control
Didn't come with a manual (doesn't need it)
Non upgradeable...plug it in and go to it.
My main rig is a PRS CE-24 mapletop into this pedal, into a Marshall 30th anniversary combo or DSL50 head. Occasionally I'll add in a Crybaby wah

Let's be honest, it's a low fi unit. I am reviewing this based on price.. if it was a 1000 dollar rackmount delay i'd expect a heckuva lot more out of it, but for 50 bucks canadian, it's a great little slap echo unit. as i said before it's pretty transparent, and it's not really all that noisy (which is what i was expecting) so i am pleasantly suprised. IT can sound nice and subtle (which is why i bought it... i have a marshall 30th anniversary combo with no verb) or it can sound funky andfreaky. It's cool... if you leave the mix down, you can crank up the repeat and get a nice effect, as you turn up the mix, i usually turn down the repeat a bit. gives a nice straight slap. but when you got both maxed you get a sort of extra weird surf sound.
I don't listen to many people who use echo, but it sounds cool.

Normally I've heard that DAno pedals, are pretty tough, but these ones are plastic... i gues they'll live, but they aren't as tough as any boss or DOD pedal.
I'd gig without a backup.

Never dealt withthem, but my local dealer (Long and McQuade) is great.

Essentially i was looking for this or the reverb unit to go with my marshall 30th anniversary.. i don't like cleans ounds without ANY effect. I Need a bit of reverb or delay... i chose this one over the verb as i found it more adjustable for the effects i like, the BLT can get the same subtle sounds as the Corned beef reverb, but i like it (the BLT) better withthe effect higher, withthe reverb iw as onlyhappy when it was turned down more (but i am a spring reverb guy)
Overall I am very happy with it, as i said i am reviewing it based on price, If i wanted some super effects i'd get an eventide harmonizer, but for adding a little slapback, there's no way i'd even have paid 150 (canadian) for a boss delay pedal. I see these being the primo christmas/ brithday presents this year. a lot of parents get adraid at pedals at christmas, for example a beginner guitar can be got for 200 canadian, a beginner amp for 100, but when your kid wants a Boss delay/reverb to go with it (200 BUCKS!) it seems a little excessive, these let beginner players (and those of us who just want to mess around) try a few effects and set up little chains, without breaking the bank. you can get a delay, trem and a distortion pedal for the pice of a Boss Pedal!
NOt to say it sounds bad, it sounds great, and i think these things are a steal! Just hope my local store can keep them in stock!

no booklet but very easy to use. mix and repeat knobs determine loudness and longevity of echo.

i'm using a fender american tele with an excellent Yamaha G30 112 amp. that alone is a great sound. the echo/delay effect is warm and rich and can be quick or reverby depending on settings.

here's the problem. the piece of crap stopped working the day after i got it. i was recording with it and noticed it started making an obnoxious squeeling noise that wouldn't go away. i gave up and later, when i turned it on, it just did not work even though the light went on.

i'm going to see if i can take it back to the store. if not then i will have to contact danelectro. i've heard good things and bad things about them so who knows.

if it kept working, it would have been a great pedal for the price. i don't use effects much but wanted a delay pedal without having to spend much money. the dan-echo is incredible but a bit too much for me. this isn't nearly as good but it's a great 30 dollar simple delay pedal. i cannot recommend buying one though since mine stopped working after 20 minutes. if you get one, you should definately not use it at a gig.

Needed to get the intro sound for Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit while being short on cash, enter the BLT. The only thing i woried about is it being plasic, but you can always fit it into a new case. Pluged into my buddies Peavey s/s half stack or my Traynor Custom Reverb it produces great, deap, mellow echo's great for old psychadelic rock.

Hammer Mirage or Fender Custom Strat into Peavey s/s or Traynor tube stacks, either way sounds good, no noise, no pops, had a little distortion out of the box but cleaned up by it self after a few minutes. I think it may have been to fresh of a battery? I don't think its true bypass but it doesn't take away much from the sound. Can hit the intro to White Rabbit on the dot. For the money, this is definitaly worth it.

Plastic, well, I have never played with shoes on so I don't find it to be to much of a problem. If your an alternative freak with Doc's on all the time, don't get any of these, you'll squish it.

Well, in a limited manner it can get some of the sounds that my Yamaha Rev-100 can do for 1/10 of the price, I'm hooked. As if you couldn't tell I don't give tens all that often, but for $32 and getting this sound, ha, its all there. I may pick up a few more of these pedals before the end of the summer.

This is a very easy echo pedal to use. It only has two knobs: Mix and Repeat so there is virtually no difficulties. It has a great sound and even though there is no manual, you have to be an idiot not to be able to use it.

I use this pedal with my Ibanez RG570 through a Marshall MG 80RCD. My amp is extremely quiet and the pedal doesn't add any hum. The pedal itself is great for delay type sounds when the knobs are past the 12 o'clock range, with rich sounds. Below that the pedal is good for adding depth to chords.

I will definately use this pedal on future gigs and rehearsals. It is housed in very durable plastic that is harder than most other plastic housings. I wish the case was metal but this plastic seems very strong. I would not bring a backup for this pedal at a gig.

I haven't needed to deal with the company yet, and probably won't ever need to. It does come with a warranty though.

This is a very versatile pedal that can be used in many styles. I play hard rock, metal, classic rock, and jazz and this will have purposes everywhere. I've been playing for a couple of years and I also own a Boss XT-2 Xtortion Pedal which is wicked for metallic sounds. If someone stole this, I wouldn't go out and beat them, I'd just buy another because it is such a great value at $30.
