Ditto on what everyone else has said. Push the button, turn the knobs.

Sound Quality : 10
Ditto again. Can't get a true reverb. Playing an early Gretsch Double Anniversary or an early fat Gibson hollowbody with a single P-90 through an ancient Magnatone with 2x10's and an equally ancient Epiphone with 1x10, I get a lot nicer, fuller sound using a BLT Slap Echo than the Corned Beef. I also get a great sound with the Tuna Melt Tremolo, but I like to give it just a little reverb. That is where the Corned Beef Reverb works really well for me. The tremolo must mask the annoying echoes of the reverb because the sound is perfect for me. It just fattens up the tremolo and gives it a little wetter sound. The BLT and Tuna Melt sound like crap together no matter what I tried, but the Corned Beef sounds great in this application, and ONLY this application in my experience. Ten with the trem, 2 for everything else.

Reliability : 10
Always does what I described above.

Don't know. Did have another mini-pedal go bad the first day, but I got it at zzounds.com and they replaced it immediately with no hassle.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I would not buy another Corned Beef reverb pedal. This probably motivated me to get off my lazy butt and fix my old Fender unit.

Sure, it's easy to mess with the nobs and press the button, but getting a good sound is another thing. There is no manual, though I beleive that it would be helpful if there was one.

Sound Quality : 10
My crappy setup is as follows: guitar (right now either a Washburn WR-150, or most likely a Washburn BT-3 that will be modified soon with Seymour Duncan pick ups), DOD FX-66 Flashback Fuzz, a Laney GC-30 amp, then coming from the send of the effects loop, a crybaby wah, and the Corned Beef mini pedal. It is not noisy other than the noise that it is supposed to make.
If you are going to get this item do not expect to get your normal reverb settings out of it. My advice if you want a normal reverb is to get a footswitchable amp with built in reverb. No artist probaly uses this and loves it as much as I do. You can make some very unique sounds with it. This pedal is a force to be reckoned with. After toying with it for a while you can find your own personality in it. It is great.
My favorite setting is mix up all the way and hi-cut down. This allows me to create some rather odd sounds (which I will not share). The most normal that it gets (as in sounding like an actual reverb) is mix up (full clockwise) and hi-cut up (full clockwise) but it still doesn't sound normal. Some people are absoluteley going to hate this thing. I give it a ten b/c I think that it sounds cool.

Reliability : 7
It is made of plastic, but it is small enough so that it doesn't matter. A little lesson in structural engineering. The less space an object has in it, the harder it is to break it. That isn't available in any text book it just makes since to me in explaining how tuff it is.. Plus the sides are thick enough (as you can see when you take off the bottom plate) that it looks very strong. I do not beleive that it would break by me stepping on it. I would still have full confidence in it after throwing across a room or something like that. I don't beleive that it would work after taking a sledge to it though.

I have never dealt with them.

One of the genres of music that I write in is experimental hard core and this works out great for it. The sound is very unique. I don't beleive that I will have to buy an echo b/c of this. I have been playing for a year and a half. If it were lost (which might happen considering how friggin' small it is) I'd go buy another one (they're only forty bucks). If someone stole it I'd be incredibly raging pissed, but I'd still shell out the 40 bucks. I did not compare it to other products at the time that I bought it b/c it was the only reverb pedal in the store (and I'm glad that it was, b/c I might not have discovered this marvel if I would have tried something else.) It definitley helps me create.

It is impossible to get a really reverb-like effect from this thing. There isn't much variation at all. The sound reminds me of a delay which has no provision for time lapses. What you get are rapid repeats fast enough to imitate a spring reverb at about 30% success. Has two knobs, neither of which does much to cure its built-in limitations. So, yes it's easy to use, so is your guitar's tone knob.

Sound Quality : 2
The effect seems to be too strong or too weak. There is one setting I find to be better than nothing and that is with the hi-cut almost all the way to the right (nearly off) and the mix barely on. This is the setting that produces the least amount of effect, and that's what you want with this thing; the least effect.

Reliability : 5
Many have stated thiers were made of plastic. Mine is metal. Dependable? I don't care if it breaks or not.

I know nothing. I bought it in Korea, the country of manufacture. The Koreans are good about customer satisfaction.

I play Blues with any type of guitar and amp. I've been playing since Jesus was a PFC. This product is as many others these days; a lot of hype, well marketed names and pretty colors but cheaply made. One thing positive is that a play through a reverbless amp. and the effect when tweeked way, way down, is better than no reverb at all.

This pedal is analog (sort of) and has only 2 turn buttons. It's very easy to use.

Sound Quality : 7
I originally bought this pedal for use with my distortion pedal, but it sounds really extreme on its own. The pedal is not very noisy, but as another review stated, this pedal really only has two settings: shower room reverb and metal echo. Both are great: nice 50's & punk. Turn the treble & volume & gain up and feel your ears melt! I even use it for harddisk recording with a bass amp (no kidding).
I have never heard any pro-artist sounding like this, maybe Dead Kennedys.

Reliability : 8
I've had mine for a month, and I thought it would eat a lot of batteries, it has eaten two! It's made of plastic though, so be carefull.
I really can't afford a backup, but have an extra battery ready.

Overall Rating : 6
This pedal is good for buddy holly, beatles, stones, but turn it up and it's messy punk. I play the harder genres of punk, record demos, and with this pedal you only need an equalizer to sound good.
While I was at the store I also tried the boss reverb, but this is way cooler: it's tiny, it's simple, it sounds analog.
On the downside it's made of plastic.

oddly its kind of difficult to get a sound that wont annoy you with this pedal but after some tweeking youll find a nice sound. its very vesitile. i have no idea how to get sounds from the pedal. i just experiment. i really wish it had an instruction manual.

Sound Quality : 8
i like this pedal. when i put it in my effect loop it sounds very nice and echoy. i like that it give me the sound of a reverbed delay pedal. i mix it with some delay aswell to get it even more thick but its great on its own too.

it does have a wobbly echo effect but you can get rid of that by turning up the hi-cut. ive heard many of these mini effects and ive been blown away every time.. the flanger is amazing. i also own the surf and turf compressor that i love.

Reliability : 9
i havent had any problems with these little plastic pedals but im sure they are easy to damage so if i was a rich rock star i get a back up. i dont see these things not working or shorting out. danelectro makes nice stuff.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to contact them.

Overall Rating : 9
i play a lot of clean channel stuff and its nice to have some reverb and i find this pedal works just fine.. even covers my delay needs too. considering not many companies make just a single reverb id say this pedal is great for the money and it has a great tweekable sound. if youre anal about your reverb you might want to try something else or get an amp that has reverb built in. but if youre like me and you just want a slight effect to color your sound this is the best choice.

This thing is easy, just two knobs. What more can you ask for?

Sound Quality : 10
I use this for my Vox Pathfinder since it don't got reverb. This sound brings back the late 50's. I use a Rickenbacker 330 and man, it sounds great for recording. No big time noise on this unit. I use it also with a Real Tube overdrive. Get some crazy noise out this baby.

Reliability : 6
Not sure about reliability, it's plastic, sure I would get a back up for it because it is a back up for my practice amp.

Customer Support : 5
Never dealt with the company.

Play Classic Rock, plays well with it, gives the old 50's sound. Been playing for 20 years. Of course I would buy another if it were lost. Love it because of the sound. Color is great. Did no comparing, I know the sound on what I want. Wish it was made of steel.

Easy to use BUT, it is extremely difficult to get a good sound, BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ONE. Don't need a manual to say there's no way you'll get a good sound.

Sound Quality : 1
I only tried this in the shop so it was guitar-->corned beef-->amp, which was all I needed to find out how bad it was. 2 sound options, the effect of hitting your guitar against some metal pipes and the effect of playing your guitar in the show.

Reliability : No Opinion
I could only depend on it to give me a terrible sound. Wouldn't be seen dead with this pedal.

This has no use for any music. If I bought it and lost it I'd go WOO-HOO!! This isn't reverb.

It's super easy to use; "MIX" for effect level, and "HI-CUT" to totally turn the effect off as you turn the knob clockwise ...(huh?). Comes with a 9-volt battery. For ease of use then, I suppose it would be a 10.

Sound Quality : 2
Oh my gawd! I'd just bought Danelectro's little battery-powered amp, the "Honey Tone Mini Amp" the other day, and found it to be so cool that I figured I'd add me a cheap reverb to it. So I came here and read all the reviews first. Then I went to the local music store and tried all the mini pedals out for about an hour, this reverb being one of them. It sounded pretty much like all of the reviews said. I expected a cheap sounding toy, because of the price. I bought it anyway knowing full well what I was doing. I got it home and played it through my little HoneyTone battery amp, and after about 5 minutes, found myself actually getting annoyed by the dumb-ass echoing "repeats" that it makes! I thought that I would be able to put up with that in order to get some real cheesey ambience, but instead it just frigging annoys me because it destracts me from what I'm trying to play. This is always the case no matter what the settings are. And speaking of settings, what's up with the "hi-cut" control? You can turn the "mix" all the way up, but if you turn the "hi-cut" all the way up, the echo disappears almost completely! So, I'll rate the sound a "2" only because the "mix" control works.

Reliability : 4
Yeah they're ok, I mean they've got a bit more weight to them than I expected.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Uhm, ...yeah- tell me why it's so hard for anyone to make a cheap, useable stompbox reverb unit. One reverb, a level control, and a length control, that's all I ask. It doesn't have to have halls and rooms and plates. It just has to be one stupid reverb that allows me to adjust the level and the length. I'd even pay $75.00 for it for gawd sakes! MAKE ONE FOR ME RIGHT NOW, DAMMIT!!!

Overall Rating : 1
Any style of music doesn't matter with it. The Corned Beef Reverb is just simply corny. I would venture to say that every review given here on this unit is going to be bad. I paid $40.00 plus tax, and it's just not worth $25.00. All the other effects are worth checking out because they all at least DO what they claim to do. This reverb however, does not, because it's an echo. It's a half a tad better than using a delay unit with short repeats, but both are annoying when you just want reverb. Anyway, I think some of the little distortion boxes were cool. But, I think I'll bring this back and trade it for a "BACON AND EGGS" amp box and a pack or two of strings. My recommendation: READ ALL THE REVIEWS, GO TRY ONE FOR YOURSELF, AND THEN BUY SOME OTHER PRODUCT INSTEAD. It's a worthless unit that will probably be discontinued once the word gets out enough that they suck.

Two Knobs, plus one on the back that opens the bottom panel (that was the trickiest one). How hard can it be? Even I (bass&drum player) can use it!
Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to get good sound out of it, but if you do find one, that'll be the only one.

Sound Quality : 2
I tried it with American traditional Fat Strat going to a Laney 15W tube amp. A nice, warm and dynamic sound. The amp has no reverb in it so I thought a dash of good ol' reverb would suit there just fine. In fact, I still think so. It's just that the Corned Beef is actually NOT a Reverb; It's some sort of a delay. Now if I need delay, I'll buy a delay unit or a multieffect processor. Now I just needed a good reverb and this one is nothing like that.
Now I do appreciate the one usable sound you get (mix at about 3 o'clock), but I can find that and many many more sounds in some other DELAY unit.

Reliability : No Opinion
Impossible to say since I only had it for a day. Wouldn't step very heavily on it.

I'm sending it back tomorrow. Very disappointing. Some friends of mine use various Danelectro pedals and they've been pleased with theirs. This was the first Dano for me, but according to other reviews here this is the worst pedal they have. I only read them too late! Oh well, better luck next time.

As with other Danelectro pedals, it's pretty easy to figure out. Two knobs.

Sound Quality : 1
While having only two knobs makes this pedal easy to use, the fact that nothing happens no matter what setting you're at makes the whole thing a huge headache. I'm using this pedal with a Vox Pathfinder practice amp, which doesn't come with reverb. This pedal doesn't come with reverb either. I can't beleive I wasted $50 on this piece of shit. I can detect slight (hardly any) traces of delay (NOT reverb) when singing through a mic that is plugged directly into my four-track recorder. Through the amp? Forget it.

Reliability : 10
This pedal is extremely reliable. Every time I stomp on it I know exactly what will happen. Nothing.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I'm too pissed to call them.

Overall Rating : 1
Before buying this pedal, I read all the reviews here and have had good experience buying other products on the advice of what others post here. My luck ran out on this one. Anyone that has something good to say about this pedal is either lieing, retarded, or drunk..... or possibly all three. You want the truth? Spend the extra $75-$100 to get REAL built-in reverb on your amp. I wish I did.
