Ease of Use : 6
One tiny knob for speed, which makes it easy to control (if you can see the knob). So light and plastic-y that if you plug twisted cables into it, it flips over.

Sound Quality : 6
Back when it worked, the sounds were OK. Used it with a Dan'O U3 (which is tasty if you can still get one) and a boring Ibanez 50W amp. Turning the speed all the way down gave you a kind of floating tone change cycle that I really liked. Middle of the dial was typical phase, a little muddy if you fed it too much. Speed didn't go high enough to really get interesting.

Reliability : 2
After about 2 uses I managed to cook it somehow, and now it just goes ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Comes in very handy when I want something that goes ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Customer Support : No Opinion
The phone call would cost more than this thing's worth.

Overall Rating : 4
Easy to operate and mildly amusing for the hour that it worked. Pleasant blue color. I suppose if yours doesn't commit suicide it's OK for a cheap studio effect to record with.

You would have to be inbred to not fully understand this pedal as soon as you see it.

Sound Quality : 2
I use a Laney TF320 and an epiphone sheraton 2. This pedal has got to be one of the most worthless items I have ever bought. It sucks tone even when bypassed, and totally cuts high eq at the end of its cycle. Not just a little but a lot. It sounds like I don't have the top three strings on my guitar. I know this is only a Forty dollar pedal but I would rather spend my money on something else.

Reliability : 9
You could definetly rely on this pedal to sound like crap.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 2
On occation you might be able to get a hendrix like tone out of it but it just cuts to much off the end. I would not buy another if this thing were stolen. Overall this pedal is a huge waste of money

Ease of Use : 7
Very easy to use. Just a speed knob (Phase 90 Style). Goes to very slow and thick, and somewhere around 1 o clock the speed steps up quite a bit.

Sound Quality : 6
Gets some great slow phase (Pumpkins ala Drown, Radiohead ala Paranoid Android clean), as well as fast Korn-like warbles(Chi). Almost half Phase 90 half Small Stone, although not as awesome. Great clean, slow settings are very subtle with distortion.

Reliability : 5
Plastic but surprisingly it has not broken yet.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 10
For $40 dollars I don't think could get another phaser of this quality. Granted it's no Phase 90 or Small Stone, and certainly no Bi-Phase, but.....it's $40 bucks.

As everyone says about all the danelectro mini series dead easy to use just plug in and play. One foot switch (on and off) one knob (speed of phaser)its as simple as that.

Sound Quality : 9
I'm using this pedal with a dirt cheap fake les paul, that squeals like hell when gain is up, a danelectro black liqorice pedal (which i also recommend), a zoom 606 pedal (also very good slow on fx change but brings out the distortion and phaser beautifully on some settings) and a 15 watt Marshall valvestate practice amp (I'm saving up for better amp any recommendations welcome) so if it sounds good through that it'll sound good through anything. Its a simple phaser that gives a good but unadjustable phaser sound, its quiet (on a clean sound), and the speeds variable.

Reliability : 8
Seems pretty reliable i've had no problems but if you like to jump 12 feet into the air and onto pedal to switch it on, this aint the pedal for you as its made of plastic. Better with power supply than batteries as it gulps down power.

Customer Support : No Opinion
can get a warranty on it i think theres a little postcard in the box for that but its an american address so i aint sending it by air mail (i live in Britain!).

Overall Rating : 10
Right if you're like me, a simpleton with no money, this is a really good buy. If all your looking for is a simple phaser sound for a couple of songs in your set list this is definately for you. It gives a good sound and its cheap. I bought the hash browns flanger first absolutely hated it. i exchaged it for this one, not expected anything much better, but i was surprised that it really is quite a good pedal. Works well when used after a distortion pedal but sounds good clean. If you use a phaser loads and u want a really variable a specific sound however you'd probably be better off with a boss phaser. If someone stole this pedal i would buy a new amp first (coz i really need one) and save up for another one coz it is pretty good.

Just plug in the cable and pop in the battery and your set. Theres only one knob so its cool.

Sound Quality : 9
Very nice phase effects. Could use some of the depth and feed back controls on more popluar phasers to get a wider range of tone but really all you do need is that speed knob. When i first got i hopped right into playing "Thru the eyes of ruby" by the smashing pumpkins and it sounded astonishing similiar!

Reliability : 8
I can definatley depend on it. you may want to use the ac adapter instead of batteries tho. I would most likely use it with my pignose on soloing in gigs, sure.

Customer Support : No Opinion
no need of support.

Overall Rating : 10
I give it a 10 because it compares to many other popluar phasers like akai and ibanez. Danelectro made it in a way were you dont really need the other controls and i like that. the akai touch sensitivity feature would be really cool on it, but like i said, danelectro made in a cool way where you don need it. I have made lots of music with it and i recommend to everybody. Phasers are the nicest effect!

One knob for speed and an on/off switch.

Sound Quality : 7
My rig:
QSCAudio 850 power amp (using left channel only)
Gallien-Krueger 300B head (pre-amp)
Peavey 215 cab (discontinued 30 year old cab)

Effects:
Danelectro Pepperoni Phaser
DOD Grunge Distortion FX-69B

Using this rig with my Memphis bass. I get an evil sound when the Grunge is on, but it cuts some of the volume and bass out of the output signal. Don't know if that's how its supposed to work, maybe if I try other phase pedals... then I would know.

I played this pedal on a 6-string guitar and got the same effect but only noisier when grunge is on.

So I gave it an 7 for the limited volume but evil sound it gives my bass and guitar when distortion is added.

Reliability : No Opinion
Good question.

Have no need as of yet.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I have no specific style. I like to keep an open mind and only use a certain effect when the song demands it. And if this pedal were to be lost or stolen hehe it was only 20 bucks... I would get a better pedal.

One knob: speed. No manual...no need. I give this a 9, because I like to have more control over what comes out of the pedal; I like to be able to control depth too.

Sound Quality : 10
Just becuase it doesn't have a depth control, I can't really dock any points because it's really a great sounding pedal. It adds no noticable noise to your sound, even while off.

It can go from a nice slow phase shift to a wobbly chorus type sound, though I would never use it for chorus.

I use a Mexican Fender Stratocaster and a Peavey KB60 Keyboard Amp and a Vox Pathfinder. I haven't experimented a whole lot with various effects with this pedal. Since I bought another more versatile phaser just after getting this, I put it aside and then sold it. If you're not too picky about being able to control your phaser's depth and you just want a simple phase, it's great.

I think I might have recorded a demo with it too, but I'm not sure if I used the Dano or the Akai. Nevertheless, it does work well with vocals in case you're looking for that trippy 60's/70's psychedelic sound.

Reliability : 10
Hard plastic. Some question the reliability, but if you don't act stupid with it, it should hold up pretty well.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never really dealt with them much.

Overall Rating : 10
I play everything from blues, to psychedelic rock, alternative, modern, etc. I use a phaser when I'm looking for something more like a psychedelic sound.

If it were stolen...well, I don't really need to worry about that since I sold it on eBay recently. It's a nice pedal, but there's nicer phasers out there.

Shortly after buying the Pepperoni, I found a great deal on the Akai Intelliphase, so I bought it. The Akai has not only a speed control, but also depth, feedback, and "touch sensitivity" controls. Since it's more versatile and I can control the sound more, I decided to get rid of the Dano.

Ummm...I guess that's about all. Oh...don't eat it: it'll break your teeth.

Ease of Use : 10
The "Pepperoni Phaser" is the easiest to use Phase Shifter since the days of MXR's "Phase 45" or "Phase 90" pedals. One knob to control the speed is all you need!
No manual necessary.

Sound Quality : 9
The Pepperoni works well with clean sounds or overdriven sounds. Clean sounds remind me of the classic 70s era sounds (ex."Blue Bayou" from Linda Ronstadt). Overdriven tones are fun too (ex.more late 70s tones like: Blondie's "Heart Of Glass" sounds cool with this pedal).
The pedal has a hint of distortion as it regenerates.

Reliability : 10
The pedal is an inexpensive treasure! I paid $17 bucks for a demo (used) pedal but it's GREAT! Even though it is constructed out of plastic it seems to be well made.I use one now without a backup.

Customer Support : 8
I have dealt with DANO in the past (via email) they will stand behind their products. They're a little slow...but that's OK.
No malfunctions or breakdowns to report, so far!

Overall Rating : 10
I play a variety of music from the 50s thru the 90s. I like this pedal enough I would replace it if it were broken, stolen or lost. My other pedals are ALL Danos (Milkshake, BLT, Hash Brown). These guys are making foot pedals that are fun to collect and easy to use. You don't need a degree from MIT to use this equipment! My guitar is a Standard Fender Strat and my amp is a Fender Princeton 65. I play out twice a month and have had no problems with any of the equipment.

One knob, it is itty bitty however and seeing what the setting currently is can be hard without getting up close and personal. Still, it gets a ten.

Sound Quality : 8
for under fifty dollars this pedal is just amazing! i'm usually a bit of a gear snob, but i cannot deny that this phaser has some serious 'vibe' to it. Don't get me wrong, I'm no Dano lover or anything (I think 90% of their effects and all their guitars are just garbage), but it's undeniable that their modulation effects are actually really good (and really cheap), this little beauty is no exception. It can easily get real subtle, swirly phase (the type I like best) and it doesn't color the sound as much as many other phasers. My only real complaint is that it seems to go abruptly from subtle phase to super intense vibrato at about four or five o' clock in the knobs travel, a more gradual transition between the two would have been better.

Reliability : 8
As everyone and their uncle has already said, its made of plastic so dont drop your wah on it or anything! I'm extremely carefull with my gear so I trust this to last as long as I need it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them, never had to

Overall Rating : 8
I play a weird mix of musical styles including blues, funk, shred, psychedelic and whatever else I happen to be listening at the time. This pedal is great for blues and blues-rock, it fits in very well with my playing, if it were stolen(not lost, I don't lose gear!) I would buy another, they sure are cheap enough! I wish it had a better casing, but I'll live with the plastic and step lightly.

THIS PEDAL IS A PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!!! within two months of use the pedal died. the repairman at guitar center it would cost less to buy another pedal because the pedal had burned out.

Customer Support : 1
they sent me the pedalafter 4 weeks and it worked for about 30 seconds .

Overall Rating : 3
if thispedal were to have functioned correctly i would have liked it although i would not have gigged with it due to it's flimsy plastic case..... the sound was good.......... but it was built like a yugo
