Very easy to use, and sounds like a "vintage" chorus. Cool, very easy to find different sounds, from small chorus to space trip sounds. I use it with my bass guitar.

I use it not veyr often, with my Washburn active bass guitar. It doesnt sound soooo good on low notes, but thats normal when using effects with bass guitar. Not noisy, no cracks or pops when I turn the knobs...

OK, it's not a tank... its a godd plastic box, but its still plastic.
I think the knobs are too small, but fuck it, it's a "mini pedal" anyway! I would gig without a backup because I only use it in a few solos.

I got it used, and payed +or- R$150, thats $45 dollars. Nice price, and it's good enough to me. Try it before buying some expansive pedal you wont use a lot...

very, very vesitle- and very function.
reminds me of a BOSS stereo chorus I used to have- thick, creamy, and lush. It can also get that "thing from outer space" noise if you want.
It sounds great w/ my strat and w/ my acoustic. Perfect for strumming.

OK- I've had it for a year and some change. I've never abused it- and it gets used very little. It has developed a definate problem: if I use it for more than 15 minutes, the tones jumps to that "thing from space" sound I brought up earlier. It doesn't matter what setting I have it on- come 15 minutes, the sound starts getting progressivly strange until it becomes this detuned mess o' feedback. (And, yes, I changed the battery. In fact I tried 5 batteries and still got the same thing.

It's great while it lasts. But bottom line, I bought this pedal to save money. I've learned my lesson- you get what you pay for. Dano makes better built pedals than these minis- save up and buy one of them or something else. This one just can't hang in for the long haul.

Simple: speed and depth (I guess this is sorta like the mix adjustment) knobs. No manual...Dano doesn't really have one for their minis.

I've never been a fan of chorus, however, I heard a Boss CE5 Chorus Ensemble that had a nice clean, shallow shimmer to it (like a 12-string). I didn't want to spend the money on a Boss, so I went with the Milkshake, intending to upgrade. I was very pleasanly surprised when I set the speed around 10 o'clock and the depth around 11:30. It gave me EXACTLY what I was looking for!
Even better, when I use it with my Big Muff (Russian) and DOD Harmonic Enhancer before it, I actually got a little bit of the Jimi Hendrix/Univibe sort of sound. I could get really crazy feedback and amazing presence through my Pignose G60VR tube combo! The Milkshake adds no noise to my signal, but does boost my signal ever so slightly when it is on.

Never had any problems with reliability, especially since I use a pedalboard power supply instead of a battery.

I tried e-mailing Danelectro about a question once and they never got back to me. Otherwise, I've never really had to deal with them.

I use this when I play with my band. Our style is modern rock a la Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc. Like I said earlier, I only use it in a couple songs. We do a cheesy Nirvana cover, in which I can get the watery "Come As You Are" sound, but I seldom use that setting.
I made the unfortunate mistake of trading it toward an Electro-Harmonix Small Clone when I wanted to upgrade. Don't get me wrong, the Clone is a good pedal, but a completely different beast; much warmer, less versatile (only a 2-way switch for depth), and thicker and thus it does not fit what I'm looking for. I recently tried out the Cool Cat, but it too seemed a little warm. I need to compare the Cat, the Clone, and the Milkshake side-by-side before I decide if I'm going back to the Milkshake or not.

Thie pedal sounds pretty good. The thing that I wish that it had was a saturation knob to mix the chorus with dry but oh well, it was only $30.

It's a lot sturdier that I thought it would be. But still, it's plastic so things can possibly go wrong. I would use it without a backup because its not essential to my sound. If it died, I'd just take it out of the chain.

Its pretty easy getting a nice thick sound from this pedal. There are only two knobs, (mix) and (rate) but thats all it really needs. The knobs are a bit small but other than that its easy to use.

Right now I use an Austin Strat through my little Peavey Rage or Fender Frontman. The chorus on this pedal is excellent for picking and doing your little solos in your bedroom or whatever. You can get a few different chorus settings by tweaking the knobs. The only one I dont like is when both knobs are set at 10. This gives it a weird space ship sound that is absolutley worthless unless you play experimental music. The quality of the chorus is decent for such a cheap pedal but some settings are very noisy. THe chorus sounds best when used by itself. I wouldn't think this pedal would be very great at a live show but it does work great for recording in your home studio.

It's taken some abuse but its still ticking. Its plastic, so dont drop it on the ground too many times. One complaint is that the little knobs are very fragile. One of mine came off once and I never found it again. Bummer.

I'm a harmonica player by trade but I know a cheap guitar pedal when I see one. This pedal won't get you that rich chorus sound you are craving but its worth it for the low price...Decent chorus for a cheap danelectro piece of crap.

I can't believe all the different reviews I've read about this pedal and here at Harmony Central in general. Man there are some really stupid people writing reviews. This is not the worst pedal ever and it is not the holy grail. It's a good pedal for $25. Something you'll replace eventually.
It's pretty easy to get a good sound out of this pedal although I do find it limited in its scope of sounds.

Sounds very good for a $25 chorus pedal. I don't find it to be noisy but I only use it for my clean sound going into my Bandmaster Reverb. Battery lasts a decent amount of time but sound deteriorates with weak battery like most boxes.

So far it's been dependable but it's not built to take a lot of punishment. If the pedal failed at a gig I could do without chorus for the night so it's no big deal if it dies on me really.

I play in an Elvis show and use the pedal for a lot of the ballads and some of the slow tunes like "In the Ghetto". I didn't want to spend a lot of money for a pedal and needed one for a gig. I set it to give me a nice thinking lush chorus (the only setting I've found on the pedal) and leave it there. I will definately replace this box at some point but for the money it really is an excellent chorus. Yes, it does color your sound bypassed and is not transparent when engaged, but if your looking for those features you wouldn't be looking at the Dano mini pedals anyway so... I'm glad I got it. I've gotten my money's worth from it so far.

? Very simple operation - 1 speed (rate), 1 depth contol, and on/off.
? In, Out, 9V optional in
? Comes packaged with a plastic protector, keep this on... pedal seems a little delicate for heavy stomping.
? Danelectro battery that comes with, doesn't last for -- lack of a crueller word -- "dung".
? Replacement of battery requires a bit of fiddling for people with well-endowed fingers :)
Sound Quality
:

? You'll be amazed that two little controls can offer so many variations.
? Begins to crackle when battery is low... a normal thing.
? Played only through a Danelectro Honeytone 1Watt, sounds, preforms well.

? Plastic molding (body) to me doesn't not seem strong enough for heavy use, therefore if you order one, I suggest keeping the plastic protector on it.
? A simple chorus pedal for 35 bucks, does what it needs to do.

? Excellent chorus pedal (effect wise)
? A Little skimpy on the structural plastics
? On/off should be a little more sturdy
? There are other pedals to choose from, if you like simplicity and looks, get one of these.
